-ARRIVAL MESSAGE
At the military base, a smartphone rang. Captain Hasan immediately answered.
Captain Hasan: Hello, who is this?
Feni: This is Feni from the military command center. I wanted to inform you that General Sulaiman will be traveling to Kalimantan tomorrow morning. Please arrange for his pick-up.
Captain Hasan: Is General Sulaiman coming personally?
Feni: Yes, I will send you an email with the pick-up time at the military airport.
Captain Hasan: Alright, I will arrange the pick-up for tomorrow.
Feni: Thank you.
Captain Hasan promptly ordered his subordinates to arrange the pick-up.
BATTLE
Lieutenant Muhammad Sani pressed further into the depths to assess the situation when suddenly, from the forest ahead, ten giant wild boars charged at them viciously, seemingly entering their territory.
Lieutenant Sani: (calmly signaling two teams to move forward) Shoot for their heads.
Everyone: Yes, Lieutenant.
Two teams immediately advanced and began firing at the boars, aiming for their heads. Some hits were made, but the boars did not fall; instead, they grew more ferocious.
Sugi: (noticing something in the trees) Watch out in the trees. (Sugi quickly shoots at the tree above, but it's too late; several spears launched toward the advancing teams) That's a giant monkey.
The spears struck three soldiers, piercing their bodies and killing them instantly.
Lieutenant Sani: Shoot them while looking for trees to take cover behind; this is a trap.
Immediately, everyone sought cover behind trees while shooting at the shadows that jumped around quickly. Suddenly, a branch tiger charged out of the forest to attack the soldiers.
Sugi: Rob, watch out behind you.
Rob: (quickly dodges while spraying fire toward the area where the branch tiger is. Fleeing in fear of the flames, they retreat back into the forest.) They are afraid of fire.
Lieutenant Sani: Burn the trees. Let's prevent them from jumping between the branches.
The fire crew advanced to set nearby trees ablaze when suddenly many giant monkeys descended to attack the water-spraying team.
Lieutenant Sani: Protect the fire crew; shield their heads.
Some monkeys were afraid to face the flames, but wanting to fight back, they pressed forward. Some caught fire and were burned to cinders. A few were shot in the head. Suddenly, in the distance, a gigantic gorilla charged swiftly, swinging its arms toward the fire team. Three soldiers at the front were struck, their bodies obliterated.
Lieutenant Sani: Fall back, shoot him with the bazooka.
Hendri (the soldier carrying the bazooka): Yes. (He immediately aims and fires.)
Giant Gorilla: (tries to block with his hands, but after an explosion, his hand and half of his body are destroyed, though he is still not dead, just down.)
Lieutenant Sani: (runs forward and continues shooting at the head). Burn its head now.
Rob: Ready, Lieutenant. (He moves forward to burn the giant gorilla's head.)
Many giant monkeys remain in the trees far away, frightened by the flames.
Lieutenant Sani: This is beyond our expectations; there are so many of them. Stay on high alert while we pull back.
Everyone: Yes, Lieutenant.
The soldiers take a few steps back, and from a distance, there are very large footsteps causing the ground to shake.
Lieutenant Sani: (feeling a sense of dread, he looks toward the source of the vibration) Shoot now, get the bazooka out. There's a giant elephant coming.
Several elephants, ridden by giant monkeys, charge forward, crashing through trees in their path; some are on fire as well. The bazooka team manages to hit a few, blasting off some heads, but a few still advance, as ordinary firearms fail to penetrate the elephant's thick skin. The elephant moves forward, trampling the soldiers in front while a giant monkey on its back throws sharp spears, stabbing soldiers, and jumps down to bite those in front, causing chaos.
Lieutenant Sani: Everyone stay calm; the firefighting team, burn nearby quickly and avoid the flames. The rest continue shooting while retreating. (while contacting headquarters to report the situation in the forest that the giant animals possess intelligence, skillfully setting traps and coordinating well like humans).
Sugi: Herman, do you know which area around here would be better for us to defend ourselves?
Herman: Yes, over there is a cave where we can take cover; inside the cave, the elephants cannot enter.
Sugi: Good, Lieutenant, let's attempt to retreat to that area while waiting for assistance.
Lieutenant Sani: Alright, everyone, we'll retreat there. The firefighting team will obstruct them while tossing grenades at the elephants.
Elephant: (hit by a grenade, its head and trunk severely damaged. Its anger skyrockets as it fiercely attacks the soldiers.)
Firefighting team: Try to set the elephants on fire to hold them back from advancing further to their group, but a giant monkey appears from behind, ready to attack, and is thwarted by the soldiers behind using firearms and grenades.
They retreat towards an area with a fairly large cave that the elephants cannot enter. However, the giant monkeys manage to enter and are immediately shot by the soldiers. Thus, no one dares to enter again.
Lieutenant Sani: What is happening with those animals? Why are they so terrifying and ferocious? Could it be because of that parasite?
Sugi: (the lieutenant seems to be under heavy stress) Lieutenant... let's take a break while we wait for assistance. It seems those animals no longer dare to enter individually.
Lieutenant Sani: (attempting to calm himself) Yes, for now, we hold our ground. It won't be long before they come here to help us; let's try to count how many soldiers we've lost.
Sugi: We have only 16 people left.
Lieutenant Sani: Yes... (shaking his head) Are your bullets enough? And is there still oil in the fire extinguisher?
Rob: Lieutenant, we have a little oil left.
Herman: We have very few bullets left too.
Lieutenant Sani: What about the bazooka team?
Frenz: The bazooka team is out of ammo.
Lieutenant Sani: Is there any grenade left?
Sugi: We have only a few grenades left.
Lieutenant Sani: We must hold our position. If our reinforcements arrive, we can prepare to break through and possibly surround those giant creatures.
Everyone: Yes, Lieutenant.
