With the logistics station running smoothly, Chance and Daniel finally had some time to return home. Chance's thoughts turned to the most important event in his life: his upcoming wedding to YoYo. He wanted it to be nothing short of spectacular, a grand celebration filled with love and joy.
Chance envisioned a ceremony where the aisle was adorned with a carpet of flowers, and the hall echoed with the blessings of their friends and family. He decided to rent the largest five-star hotel in the western district, known for its beautiful surroundings and, most importantly, because it was YoYo's favorite place.
Every day, Chance visited the hotel to oversee the wedding preparations. He meticulously checked every detail, ensuring that everything was perfect for their special day. The anticipation and excitement grew as the wedding date approached.
One morning, on his way to the company, Chance's heart nearly stopped when he saw someone familiar. It was Kelly, standing on the sidewalk, looking forlorn and worn. The sight of her brought back a flood of memories. After Tony was arrested, Kelly's life had taken a downward spiral, leaving her struggling to make ends meet. Now, she seemed to have found a new goal: to reconcile with Chance.
Kelly approached him with a pleading look in her eyes. "Chance, please. I've made mistakes, but I need you. Can't we start over?"
Chance's expression hardened. "Kelly, we've been through this. Our relationship ended for a reason. I'm happy now, and I'm moving on with my life."
Kelly persisted, tears welling up. "But I've changed, Chance. I realize now how much you meant to me. I'm begging you, give me another chance."
Their argument grew more heated, drawing the attention of passersby. In the midst of their confrontation, YoYo happened to drive by. She saw Chance and Kelly arguing and immediately felt a pang of jealousy. She parked her car and walked over, her heart pounding.
"Chance, what's going on here?" YoYo demanded, her voice tinged with irritation.
Chance turned to her, surprised but also relieved by her presence. "YoYo, it's not what it looks like. Kelly and I were just... having a conversation."
Kelly, sensing an opportunity, tried to interject. "YoYo, I was just—"
YoYo cut her off, her eyes blazing. "I don't care what you were just doing. Chance is with me now, and I trust him completely."
Kelly took a step back, realizing she was outmatched. She muttered a few words of apology and hurried away, leaving Chance and YoYo standing together.
As the tension dissipated, Chance looked at YoYo, a smile tugging at his lips. "You know, you're kind of cute when you're jealous."
YoYo huffed, crossing her arms. "I'm not jealous. I just don't want anyone messing with what we have."
Chance wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "And no one ever will. I promise you, YoYo, you're the only one for me."
YoYo's expression softened, and she rested her head against his chest. "I know, Chance. I trust you. I just don't like seeing other women trying to get between us."
Chance kissed the top of her head. "You have nothing to worry about. Our wedding will be perfect, and our life together will be even better."
