Chapter 30
Jack's POV
Two cops walked up to my side of the car, tapping on the window. I took a deep breath and lowered it, giving him a calm, composed smile.
"Good evening, officer," I greeted. I noticed Nico trying to avoid eye contact with the cops. He must have been involved in some bad stuff to fear the cops that much.
One of the cop peered into the car, his eyes scanning over Nico and Jax before settling back on me. "License and registration," he demanded.
It was obvious he was yet to recognise me, but it was fine all the same.
He narrowed his eyes but didn't say anything for a long moment. His gaze lingered on the back of the car, where Nico had stashed Luis in the trunk.
Just then, Nico leaned forward and chimed in, "Is everything alright, officer? We were just on our way back home."
