Chapter 36
Luciana's POV
I barely made it into our room, wondering what it was that had made Regina want to speak with Jack, before my phone buzzed in my hand. Glancing at the screen, I noticed the caller ID was unknown. My heart skipped a beat, a sense of foreboding rising within me.
I hesitated before answering, unsure of what it was that could be the reason why a strange number will call.
"Hello?" I said cautiously, waiting for the response.
The voice on the other end was deep and unfamiliar. "Luciana," he said, "don't worry about who I am. What matters is that I have information—important information—about your real parents."
I froze in place, gripping the phone tighter. "My parents?" Who are you?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly despite my attempt to sound composed.
"You'll find out everything in time. But if you want answers, you'll have to meet me. I'll be waiting for you tomorrow night at the old lighthouse by the bay."
