Wrong
Amelia was dog-tired. She needed coffee and she needed it now. She brewed a strong cup of coffee, letting the warmth and caffeine bolster her resolve. She stared out the window, the dark sky beginning to lighten with the first hints of dawn. Her mind drifted to the patrol, the adrenaline still lingering in her veins.
Morning came too soon, and Amelia dragged herself to class, her eyes heavy with fatigue. She tried her best to stay focused, but her eyelids drooped, and she found herself struggling to keep awake.
During a particularly dull moment in class, Izuku leaned over, concern etched on his face. "Amelia, are you okay? You look like you're about to fall asleep."
Amelia sighed, rubbing her eyes. "It's been a long night. Aizawa-sensei took me on patrol, and it went on much longer than I expected."
Izuku's eyes widened. "Patrol with Eraserhead? That's intense. What happened?"
Amelia recounted the events of the evening in hushed tones, detailing the attempted robbery and her role in ensuring the store clerk's safety. Izuku listened intently, his expression a mix of admiration and worry.
"Wow, that sounds exhausting," he said sympathetically. "You did great, though. How are you holding up?"
Amelia managed a tired smile. "Just barely. Coffee is my best friend right now."
During the break, Izuku offered her his shoulder to rest on. "You can lean on me if you need to sleep for a bit."
Her cheeks flushed at the offer, remembering what had happened the last time she was sleep-deprived and how close they had gotten. "Thanks, Izu, but I'll manage," she said, shaking her head. "Last time I almost agreed to anything you asked. I don't trust myself when I'm this tired."
Izuku chuckled softly, though his concern remained. "Just promise you'll take care of yourself, okay? We need you at your best."
Amelia nodded, appreciating his support. "I will. Thanks, Izu."
The day dragged on, every minute feeling like an hour as Amelia fought against the pull of sleep. She persevered, determined to prove her resilience. When the final bell rang, signalling the end of classes, she felt relief wash over her.
She gathered her things and made her way to the dorms, the prospect of rest finally within reach. Back in her room, she collapsed onto her bed, the fatigue catching up with her. Her thoughts drifted to her parents, and she wondered if they could see her now—how far she'd come and how much further she had to go. With a contented sigh, she closed her eyes, finally allowing herself the rest she so desperately needed.
As the new day dawned, Amelia woke up feeling refreshed and ready for whatever challenges lay ahead. She stretched, feeling the previous day's fatigue melt away, and got ready for her day.
Nezu had called her for a one-on-one lesson, which she eagerly attended. After the session, he gave her a knowing smile.
"Today, you'll have a special training session with the Big Three," Nezu announced. "Consider it a test of your abilities."
Amelia's eyes widened. The Big Three were legendary among the students at U.A. High School, renowned for their incredible strength and unique quirks. She felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness.
"I understand, sir," she said, her voice steady.
When the time came, Amelia made her way to the training ground, her heart pounding with anticipation. Waiting for her were the Big Three: Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado. Each one had a reputation for their immense power and unique skills.
Mirio grinned widely, his cheerful demeanor infectious. "Hey there, Amelia! Ready to spar with us?"
Tamaki looked a bit more reserved, his eyes avoiding direct contact, while Nejire bounced with excitement. "This is going to be so much fun! Let's see what you've got!"
The sparring match began, and Amelia quickly realized just how formidable her opponents were. Mirio's ability to phase through objects made him nearly untouchable, while Tamaki's versatile quirk allowed him to transform parts of his body into various animal features, making him a formidable combatant. Nejire's powerful energy waves kept Amelia on her toes.
Amelia fought valiantly, using her super strength and agility to dodge attacks and counter when she could. However, the combined efforts of the Big Three pushed her to her limits. She was determined, though, and refused to back down.
At one point, Mirio caught her off guard, phasing through her punch and countering with a powerful blow that sent her sprawling. She quickly got back on her feet, adrenaline surging through her veins. Amelia pushed herself harder, tapping into the depths of her strength and speed.
As the battle raged on, she started to adapt to their fighting styles. She anticipated Tamaki's transformations, countered Nejire's energy blasts with precise timing, and learned to predict Mirio's phasing movements. Despite her exhaustion, she held her ground, her determination unwavering.
Finally, with a final surge of power, Amelia managed to land a decisive blow on Mirio, sending him crashing to the ground. She panted heavily, sweat dripping down her face, but a triumphant smile tugged at her lips.
Mirio sat up, laughing and rubbing his head. "Wow, you got me good there! You've got some serious skills, Amelia."
Nejire and Tamaki nodded in agreement, their expressions a mix of respect and admiration.
"You're the first first-year ever to beat us," Nejire said, her eyes wide with amazement. "That's incredible!"
Amelia felt a rush of pride. "Thank you. You all pushed me to my limits. It was an honor to spar with you."
After the match, Nezu approached her, a proud smile on his face. "Congratulations, Amelia. You've proven yourself today. Keep this up, and you'll become an incredible hero."
Amelia nodded, feeling more determined than ever. "I will, sir. Thank you."
As she made her way back to the school, her classmates from Class 1-A spotted her just outside the gates. "Hey, Amelia!" Mina called out. "We're going out for milkshakes. Want to join us?"
Amelia's eyes lit up. "Sure, I'd love to!"
The group headed to a nearby café, laughter and chatter filling the air. Amelia enjoyed the camaraderie, the stress of the past few days melting away as she relaxed with her friends. They shared stories, jokes, and plans for the future, the bonds of friendship growing stronger with each passing moment.
When they arrived at the café, they all placed their orders. Izuku, knowing Amelia's favorite, stepped up confidently to order for her. "One vanilla milkshake for Amelia, please," he said with a smile.
Amelia blinked in surprise and then smiled warmly. "Thanks, Izu. You know me too well."
Izuku blushed slightly but grinned back. "Of course, it's the least I could do after hearing about your amazing fight with the Big Three."
As they settled into their seats, the conversation flowed easily. Mina recounted a funny story about one of their training sessions, making everyone laugh. Kirishima and Kaminari debated over the best hero techniques, while Tsuyu and Ochaco shared their thoughts on recent hero news.
Amelia felt a deep sense of belonging and gratitude. She was not only growing as a hero but also finding her place among her peers. With renewed determination, she vowed to continue giving her all, both in her training and in her friendships.
