A long, black snake the thickness of a streetlamp and the length of eight school buses had its jaw wide open beneath her to accommodate her size in one goal. Dark serpentine eyes glimmering with delight when she began to fall right into his mouth.
If Ebony thought, she would end up dying not of an illness but by being digested brutally in the belly of an enormous snake. She wanted to believe in herself that the god behind her story was indeed cruel and unmerciful to her.
As she drew farther away from the dark ceilings and there was nothing to hold on to save her from falling into the mouth of death… Ebony gave up and hoped this death would be quick as promised.
With one long breath drawn into his nostrils and his wings answering to his call to prepare quickly for an emergency, he pushed himself with all his might in the air to reach for his love.
