The cool evening breeze blew at their faces as they stared at each other. Rayven extended his gloved hands to her from where he stood, still having that smile on his face. Ebony didn't know what to do. She mounts the rest of the steps between them and placed her hands in his. Rayven smiled with satisfaction at her corporation.
Ebony didn't care if he hugged her or carried her in his arms, she just wanted to get back inside to cry and check if Hale was okay.
Rayven turned around, still holding her hands as they entered the house. Ebony would glance at him to be sure this wasn't still the same demon that dismissed her last night in anger. She saw how the workers left and right would pause from what they were doing and bow their heads to greet them as they moved. It was strange to Ebony having them do all that, which made her to wonder if Rayven was royalty back in Hell. She saw that he was already used to the way they respected him.
