Veronica was sure to lock the doors leading to the balcony after bringing their tea trays and snacks back inside. She turned to Ebony with a big smile, ''Please come with me.''
She led her to her main bedroom and brought her to her bed side where the glass enclosed plant was. ''When I was selected to be Constantine's heartbeat I was nervous and unsure of myself.'' She reached down to gently hold her precious well-protected plant and showed it to Ebony.
Ebony would turn her head side to side, trying to figure out what type of plant this was.
''Constantine was a sweet, patient demon who gave me freedom to express myself and do however I wished.''
Ebony tried to relate that experience with her demon, but couldn't. He was the opposite of sweet and patient.
''He bought me a huge flower as he welcomed me into his home and treated me like a queen I never imagined I was.''
