Chapter 121 - Answers

Chapter 121 Answers "Wow, that man truly cares for his horse, doesn't he, right?" Aleshia said, feeling her heart warm at the affectionate display. "I would think it's common for people with companion animals to feel this way toward their animal friends," Lucia replied, also feeling a sense of warmth rising within her. One of the bandits woke up from his slumber and immediately began clamoring, ruining the touching atmosphere. Lucia, the ever-pragmatic witch hat, felt her mood sour from the unwanted interruption. She was about to cast a spell that would cause extreme discomfort to the shouting bandit, but before she could do so, the adventurer, who was tending his horse, appeared before the shouting bandit. With barely stifled rage, he clamped his hand around the bandit's mouth. "I suggest you answer my questions. If you do not, you and your friend behind you will share an ever so gruesome fate," the adventurer said in a low, cold tone. The bandit, now trembling with fear as he recalled the moment his companion was taken down, immediately surrendered to the adventurer's threat. He quickly agreed to provide the adventurer with any information he sought, hoping to save his own life instead of facing the man's cruelty. The bandit blurted out in fear, "I-I will answer all your questions!" With a devilish smirk, the adventurer said coldly, "First, who commissioned you four to attack me?" "That boy! That noble brat! He hired us because he says you insulted him by not bowing to him!" the bandit exclaimed, quickly betraying the identity of his contractor. The adventurer tried to recall the name of the person the bandit mentioned, but he couldn't, so he asked for it again while feigning familiarity. "Ah, that one. Can you remind me of his name again?""Certainly, sir!" the bandit unconsciously addressed the adventurer with politeness. "The brat's name is Stewart Greenbell." "Right, right! Now I remember." the adventurer said gruffly. "Now, can you tell me where he is currently?" After a moment of trying to recall, the bandit soon responded. "The city of Darendale is where we were when he asked for our services. It is just a day or so journey along the path from here. The adventurer smirked, realizing that his destination was this city. Aware of his situation and who was pursuing him, he left the bandits bound together and walked over to his now-standing horse. He did not ride the horse; instead, he walked alongside it, considering its injuries.
