Substitute? What was he playing at?
I couldn't count how long I had been staring into his eyes yet nothing---no single sort of emotion. Sighing, I looked away, pretending to not hear his request.
"So your silence is a yes right?"
I sneered at such effrontery, biting my lips. Couldn't he just go away? Wasn't he the one who wanted me away from him? Gosh, I didn't want him to tag along, it might make Melissa to assume he was on my side.
"I need to ease myself, I will be back dear Sister..." I turned over to Melissa, smiling and then exited through the back door until I couldn't see them anymore. I stumbled on the hallway, my smile fading off while being replaced by a scorn.
'What the heck just happened?' I dragged my gown through the rugs of the hallway, having it held onto as I entered in the bathroom. I closed the door, leaning over the sink and splashing some water on my face. 'Damn Rachel, you've got make-up on.'
