Courtney stands in the middle of a bridge, facing off against an army of hundreds, possibly thousands of elite military soldiers, as she holds her Phoenix wings out high and proud, ready to fight against the enormous horde of soldiers, all pointing guns at her. Vehicles holding heavy artillery, such as tanks also stay in the rear guard, all pointing at her as well, ready to fire at any moment.
As Courtney stands face to face, preparing for the worst as she waits for the enemies to make a move first, while the enemies also wait to begin her attack. Then finally, someone in the army of soldiers yelled, signaling the start of their attacks, as every single gun, cannon, etc. is fired, the vanguard chargers, as Courtney begins to fight back too. She charges at the crowd, dodging as many bullets as she can while blocking the others with her wings, using her wings to swat away multiple soldiers at once, slamming them onto others or the ground or just straight up throwing them off the bridge into the water, where they'll drown due to the heavy equipment they have.
She continues to fight through, when suddenly, the crowd in front of her clears up, as one of the higher-ranked officers walk up toward her,
"So, you're the legendary Solar Phoenix, huh?", the officer says, as she reveals and introduces herself to her,
"I am the 3rd commanding officer under the general, Officer Mills, and I will be taking you on for this fight!", she declares, as she then fully turns her body into metal, revealing her power to turn her entire body into iron.
The officer then charges at Courtney, tackling her down as she gets pinned down, the officer then starts beating the hell out of Courtney as she gets hit with the left right combo. But their battle ends quickly, as Courtney only has to wrap her arms around her, as she holds the officer tight. She then begins to overheat her body, causing the commanding officer to start screaming in pain,
"Ahh! Stop, let me go!", she exclaims as she tries to scream for help, struggling to escape as she feels her body slowly, painfully melting while all the soldiers around can only watch her melt to death.
Eventually, Courtney pushes off all the melted iron and burned clothing off of her, as she gets up and cleans herself off a bit. The beat up, bruised Courtney stands there, facing off against the horrified soldiers as she lets out a battle cry at them, causing the entire group to back off a bit. She then pulls out her wings once again as she begins to continue fighting, "Emburst!", she yells as she blasts the army with a huge fireball, blasting them away and leaving them burning, panicking as they slowly burn to death. She then charges at the crowd once again, continuing to physically tackle them, using her wings as a shield, while also continuously burning them up. "Eternal Flamethrower!", she yells as she uses a flamethrower attack, continuing to burn up the people around her, when suddenly.
"Rahhhh!!!", Courtney hears a sudden scream behind her, as she turns to see and realize, it's Gavin running in, carrying a car door as a type of shield and battering ram as he charges through the crowd of soldiers, who're still distorted and panicking from all the fire around them as Gavin takes down a whole row, barely protecting himself from the bullets that are aimed straight towards him.
Before anything bad happens to Gavin, Courtney jumps in and wraps the both of them with her wings, blocking and incinerating any bullet or person that tries to interrupt them.
"Gavin! What the hell are you doing!?", she yells at him angrily, as Gavin stands there, worried for her,
"Courtney, I-I just wanna help, I don't wanna lea-", Gavin explains when Courtney cuts him off, slapping him in the face as he falls to the floor, about to tear up as he looks up at his angry girlfriend,
"Gavin, I told you to leave! You might get hurt... You might die for god's sake!", she complains, as she picks up Gavin by his collar, looking at him face to face as she stares at him with worried, pleading, teary eyes.
She then gives Gavin a long, passionate kiss, before pulling away,
"I'm sorry Gavin, I have to do this...", she says to him, as she opens her wings, before throwing him off the bridge into the water below.
Gavin watches Courtney at the top, looking down at him one more time before turning back and continuing her fight, as Gavin watches hopelessly in worry, as he slowly falls down,
"C-Courtney...", he says softly, as he tries reaching his hand out one more time, as he crashes down into the water below.
After that, Courtney goes back to facing off against the soldiers, as her demeanor changes to a more angry one after Gavin almost killed himself back there. She glares at the crowd of soldiers with a scowl, as more lesser ranked officers suddenly show up, one with wings and the other one with retractable claws, as they both charge at her. The winged one flies towards her, punching her before flying into the air, barely distracting her as the officer with the retractable claws tries to slash her. The two officers continue to work together, beating up Courtney as she loses focus, as the soldiers around them cheer them on. Eventually, Courtney pulls herself together, as she grabs the wings of one of the officers, and pulls him down, she then uses him as a human shield as the clawed one fails to stop himself as she charges at her, causing the death of her coworker as she stabs him through the chest. She then steps back in horror as Courtney sets the body on fire, before throwing it off the bridge, Courtney then marches slowly towards the other officer, as she falls to the ground in fear, trying to crawl away. Courtney then holds her hand out into the air, absorbing solar energy as the veins in her body glow and pulse yellow, orange and red,
"You wanna know why they call me The Solar Phoenix?", she says with a coldblooded tone as she looks down at the terrified officer on the ground,
"P-please, spare me! I'm only trying to do my job!", the officer pleads with her life as she begins to cry, as Courtney then aims her hand at the poor officer.
"Solar Flare", Courtney says with a tone of bloodlust, as she blasts the officer with a ring of the release solar energy, causing that part of the bridge and its entirety to collapse, as the officers gets obliterated, and some of the soldiers fall to their deaths into the water below.
Courtney hovers above with her wings as she watches the moment unfold, as she then turns to the remaining army of soldiers, as they all begin to take their steps back in fear, as Courtney stands there, a powerful, terrifying red aura surrounding her as she glares at all of them with red, rageful eyes. The soldiers then start to scream and panic as they start to fall back, as Courtney transforms into a half Phoenix form, she crashes down onto the ground, as she compresses her wings into huge, powerful arms as she then tackles the terrified, panicking soldiers as they all run away in fear.
She starts to grab some of the soldiers one by one, punching them or slamming them with full force, burning fists as they either burn to their death after getting slammed, or burning to their death painfully in the water below. She also continues to blast them with flames if she can, while also breathing fire to add more effectiveness in taking them out. Some of the soldiers try to fight back, but their bullets have absolutely no effect on Courtney's impenetrable, flaming armor, as she then skewers a huge row of soldiers like a kebab, completely blowing a hole through them with her flaming arms, before violently using them as some sort of whip, brutally throwing them around and slamming them against the others before completely incinerating them.
Soon, she finally gets tired of using physical attacks, as she realizes the soldiers are getting away from her, watching them continuing their attempt to run away, only managing to get a few dozen meters away,
"Don't think you'll get away...", she says with an angry growl, as she puts her arms up, absorbing even more solar energy, charging up her body as she also prepares to use up a lot of her normal firepower.
"Let's just get this shit over with", she says as she finally finishes charging up with solar energy, as she puts her arms together and points it straight across the bridge, "Eternal Flamethrower: Maxima!", she shouts with all her might, as she transforms into her complete Phoenix form, her flaming wings create a huge ball of solar energy and flames, and...
BOOM, WOOOOOSH!
An enormous blast of flames blast through the bridge, creating a bright, blinding red light, as every soldier in the way gets incinerated into oblivion, the attack continues to blast through the city, as civilians still in their homes or in buildings watch as a great red flash covers them, completely obliterating them as the blast continues clearing a huge path through the entire city.
Meanwhile, the crowd of civilians are still stuck in the middle of the city, kept and guarded by the soldiers still standing where they are, wondering what's going on, when suddenly, panic occurs when a sudden earthquake can be felt. They all then look back as a great, bright, blinding red flash is seen in the distance, getting brighter and brighter by the second as the air around them gets hotter as well. The crowd starts to scream and panic, spreading around and stampeding as they try to get out of the way, but to no avail, there are too many people, it's just too crowded...
The mayor tries to calm them down,
"Civilians! Everyone just make a formation, we'll make it out of this!", he tries to order them, but to no avail as he stands watching in the chaos, as people are getting ran over within the stampede, crushed under the weight of all the people panicking and running around, as the bright flash continues to glow brighter and get closer.
"Oh, God... What did we do to deserve this? Why us? Why is this happening...", he says to himself as he looks at the skies above, praying for an answer, as he waits for the sweet relief of death to come as the air continues to rise exponentially in temperature, as the crowd people sweat excessively, their skin burning off as only the screams of despair become the last things to be heard, as the bright light finally reaches them, consuming the entire crowd as the blast obliterates all of them as it continues to clear out he city, finishing it's path through the center without any sign of settling down.
Meanwhile, Gavin is still at the bottom of the bridge in the water, trying to swim back to land to try and get back to Courtney, when suddenly, he feels a great pressure upon him, as the air around him seems to get hotter, he then looks up to see the bright light coming from the bridge,
"Is that... Courtney?", he wonders, as he quickly realizes what's going on, as he quickly rushes to get out of the water as it begins to bubble, as fast as he can. The water and the air's temperature continue to rise fast, as Gavin eventually manages to get out of the water in time, as the bright light glows bright in an immediate, exponential manner, blinding Gavin as the heatwaves generated blow Gavin back. He gets slammed onto a tree as the forest around is also slowly burning and blown away, Gavin sweats heavily as he watches the river's water boil and bubble on extreme levels as it even starts evaporating into steam. He then gets up, quickly running back up to the bridge to check on Courtney before anything else goes wrong.
After a few more minutes, Courtney finally stops her attack, as she exhausts the majority of her firepower. She untransforms back into her normal form, as she falls to her knees as all of her senses come back to her, she calms down as she looks up around her, her eyes widened in shock at the destruction she's caused. She looks forward at the cleared, blackened path through the city, filled with nothing but ash, rubble and smoke, the destruction spreading from the bridge where she stands straight through the city all the way to the forest on the other side.
She breaks down in tears as a huge wave of guilt and regret washes over her,
"Why the hell did I do that...?", she asks herself, as she started punching the ground continuously out of regret,
"Why the FUCK did I do that!", she screams at herself as her fists start to bleed, as the city continues to be covered in smoke, some buildings still continuing to crumble into rubble as smoke and steam flies everywhere as well.
"I killed all those people... For what? To escape? To continue committing crime and threaten the world even more!? What the hell is wrong with me...", she continues to say to herself as she scratches the coarse road now covered in her own blood and tears, slamming her fists against the ground and punching continuously as she throws a tantrum, when suddenly, she freezes in shock when she hears heavy footsteps coming from the smoke within the city,
"Do not worry, girl, not everyone died from your attack", a familiar, deep, arrogant voice shouts to her from the smoke, causing her to start trembling in fear, as she gets up and looks over at the smoke to see what's there.
She takes a few steps back, as suddenly, a man completely made up of lava walks out of the smoke with heavy footsteps, as goops of lava also drips down as he slowly regenerates,
"I should be lucky that my power isn't just to generate and manipulate lava... I'm made of it as well!", he says with a proud laugh as his body slowly switches back to normal as he finishes regenerating, revealing himself to be the general as he lets out a sadistic smile.
Courtney takes a few steps back in fear as she realizes who it is, as she then stumbles back, falling on her back as she continues trying to get away from him,
"F-f-father...", she says in a soft, terrified tone as she continues crawling away from him, unable to keep her eyes off him, as the general only continues to smile and laugh, enjoying the sight of Courtney's fear.
As the two continue to face off, Courtney eventually gets backed off into a corner, as she's trapped in a dead end, that being the huge gap of the destroyed part of the bridge from earlier. Courtney trembles in fear as she lays on the ground, unable to do anything but to wait and prepare for the worst as the general continues to walks slowly towards her, laughing maniacally as he cracks his knuckles, making her feel even more fear as he continues to make slow, heavy steps. He gets ready to capture her as he begins to imagine the horrible things he could do to torture her when he does. When suddenly...
"Courtney...!", a familiar, worried voice, yelling out for Courtney can be heard within the smoke from the other side of the bridge, along with quick, light footsteps, as Courtney is snapped out of her fear as she hears the familiar voice. She then turns back to the other side of the bridge behind her to see who it is...
"Courtney!", the voice continues to yell out to her, as it gets closer and closer with the light footsteps continuing to move closer as well, when finally...
Gavin comes running out of the smoke, panting and sweating heavily.
"Who the hell is that...?", the general wonders in confusion as he watches the young man running out of the smoke. Gavin quickly sees Courtney on the other side of the huge gap of the bridge,
"Courtney!", Gavin calls out to her once again, continuing to run to her as he stands on the edge of the gap, oblivious to the other person there, "Courtney, are you alright!?", he yells as he continues to ask as he checks on her.
Courtney just sits there on the ground, her eyes tearing up in joy as she lets out a sigh of relief, holding back sobs and more tears as a huge burden just got laid off, along with that huge sense of relief as she realizes that Gavin is still okay, and also remembers why she did all of this for...
"Gavin! Don't move, stay back, alright?", she calls out to Gavin as he stands there on the other side, he then realizes the situation they're in as he finally notices and looks at the general standing there in front of her as well, as he starts to get worried even more. He thinks about what to do, trying to help his girlfriend once again,
"Gavin, please, leave!", she yells to him as he stands there in a dilemma once again, thinking whether he should leave her or if he should try and help her again, as he then looks at her pleading eyes,
"Gavin... Please... Just trust me, I can do this...", Courtney begs him with a soft voice with her teary, pleading eyes, as Gavin struggles to make a decision.
Eventually, Gavin takes a deep breath and sighs, as he finally makes a decision, he then looks into Courtney's eyes with a look of trust, as he just nods, finally deciding to listen, before running away, trusting her with all his heart for her to hopefully survive and escape out of there...
Courtney lets out a sigh of relief as Gavin listens to her, as she gets up, now filled with a huge boost of confidence after Gavin gave her his complete trust. She stares down the general from across the bridge as he smirks at her, clashing his fists together, causing a small shockwave that blows Courtney's hair and dress a bit. All of Courtney's fears are now gone, all of her trauma and bad memories put aside, as she feels more motivated than ever as she remembers who she's fighting for, who she's now trying to survive out here for, who she's committing crimes and running away from the law for just to be there for him, the one man who's been there for her at all times, the one man she wants to protect, and the one man she loves... Gavin.
She stands her ground as she takes a deep breath, preparing for the worst as she takes her stance, getting ready to face her fears and fight it herself, as the general also prepares a battle stance, even mocking her as he continues to smile, telling her to come get him.
Gavin continues to run away, but stops to look back one more time to watch his girlfriend as the moment unfolds, the most dangerous criminal in the world, fights against the strongest, most evil military leader in the world, in a battle between a father and a daughter.
