In the divine realms of Hindu mythology, Kartikeya, also known as Skanda or Murugan, was born to defeat the demon Tarakasura. The gods, troubled by the demon's tyranny, sought the help of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. After years of deep meditation, Parvati and Shiva's combined energies created a radiant spark, which was carried to the sacred River Ganga by Agni, the god of fire.

The spark transformed into six babies, nurtured by the six Krittikas (Pleiades). Parvati then embraced all six babies, merging them into one child with six heads, symbolizing his ability to see and understand from all directions. Thus, Kartikeya was born, destined to be a great warrior.
