'What should I do to get Lord Jiraiya's forgiveness?'

It's urgent.

Iruka panicked, searching his mind for a solution. But after being anxious for a long time, he couldn't say what he wanted to say and could only squeeze out a few words:

"Lord Jiraiya, you're back?"

You make it sound like I was dead, Jiraiya thought, rolling his eyes.

"Hahaha, I can't take it anymore, please spare me, my stomach hurts," Kazuki laughed so hard that his stomach hurt and tears came out. If not for the fear of dirtying his clothes, he would have rolled on the ground.

The atmosphere grew a bit awkward.

Iruka hurriedly ran out of the office.

"Lord Jiraiya, please wait a moment, I'll go get Naruto."

Iruka dashed off.

Jiraiya glared at Kazuki, annoyed: "I asked you to help, not to laugh at me!"

"You guys are so funny; how can I not laugh?" Kazuki said, wiping tears from his eyes, slightly out of breath. "Honestly, you're a terrible guardian. It's been years since you saw the kid; no wonder the teacher didn't recognize you. If it were me, I'd think you were a kidnapper."

Jiraiya was speechless.

"Naruto, your guardian is here!" Iruka called at the classroom door. Other teachers were teaching, and Naruto was busy sleeping. Hearing the call, Naruto looked up, wiped the drool from his mouth, and asked, "Who's looking for me?"

"Guardian?"

The teacher thought he misheard: "Iruka-sensei, did you just say Naruto's guardian?"

"No time to explain, I'll tell you later. Naruto, come out quickly," Iruka said, waving him over.

Confused, Naruto walked out of the classroom.

The classroom erupted.

"Isn't that fox demon an orphan? Since when did he have family?"

"Yeah, I heard he's an orphan too."

The kids chattered noisily.

"Quiet, continue with your lesson! No talking about others," the teacher snapped, trying to regain control. He was curious too but felt he needed to maintain some professional decorum.

"Teacher, what guardian? I don't have a guardian," Naruto said, his thoughts gradually returning. He was an orphan, wasn't he? Apart from the occasional visits from Grandpa Hokage, he had no other family.

"Stop talking and follow me!" Iruka snapped. At this point, his attitude towards Naruto was still poor, unlike a few years later when he matured, understood Naruto, and even guided him.

This was all thanks to the Third Hokage's brainwashing skills, which made Iruka let go of his hatred and wholeheartedly take care of Naruto.

"Okay," Naruto replied indifferently, used to Iruka's attitude. He didn't care and followed Iruka, hands behind his head, walking leisurely, which made Iruka's forehead veins pop out.

"Lord Jiraiya, Naruto is here," Iruka said, trying to please.

Jiraiya smiled and nodded, "Thank you."

"Not at all, not at all," Iruka said, bowing repeatedly as he left the office.

"Hey! It's the ramen guy from last night, and the smelly white-haired guy," Naruto said, looking up and giving both Kazuki and Jiraiya titles that left them speechless.

What does he mean by 'ramen guy'?

What does he mean by 'smelly white-haired guy'?

This kid needs a beating, Kazuki thought, and without hesitation, he flicked Naruto forehead.

Then he turned and walked away, not forgetting to wave at Jiraiya and give him the finger. "Next time you need help, don't come to me."

Iruka was stunned by the police squad captain's temper. He not only kicked Naruto but also dared to flip off Lord Jiraiya. Iruka reminded himself never to provoke the police department or the Uchiha.

"Why hit my head!" Naruto yelled, rubbing his forehead, feeling wronged.

Jiraiya smiled bitterly, shaking his head, unsure how to introduce himself.

Naruto could only glare at Jiraiya in dissatisfaction: "Smelly old man, what do you want with me?"

"You can call me Grandpa Jiraiya," Jiraiya said after considering the appropriate title. Given his age and status, it made sense for Naruto to call him grandpa, even though he wasn't Minato's father.

"Grandpa?" Naruto's jaw dropped.

"Yes, Grandpa," Jiraiya grinned, feeling happy inside.

"Hmph, I don't want to," Naruto crossed his arms, turned his head away, and pouted. "I don't have a grandpa."

Something's not right. What went wrong? Kazuki said Naruto lacked love. Shouldn't Naruto be crying and rushing into my arms? Jiraiya wondered, feeling anxious.

"Naruto, I was your father's teacher, so calling me Grandpa is appropriate. I'm sorry for your hardships these past years. I just returned to the village and didn't know you had it so tough," Jiraiya said.

"Spit!"

"Liar, big liar!" Naruto yelled, reacting fiercely, spitting at Jiraiya, and crying. "I've been alone all my life. I have no family, no grandpa. You're a liar."

Naruto had always craved others' attention and the love and care other children received, but all he got were cold, rejecting looks and being called a fox demon. Suddenly, someone claimed to be his family. He couldn't accept it and felt conflicted, rebelling against the idea.

If I had family, where were you all this time? Why did you let me live alone and suffer?

Overwhelmed, Naruto cried and ran away.

"Naruto!" Jiraiya called, chasing after him. Naruto's reaction strengthened Jiraiya's resolve to stay with him. Regardless of the Third Hokage's wishes, he wouldn't leave Naruto alone again.

As Kazuki left, having watched the emotional scene, he thought, This kind of touching moment isn't for me.

The two ANBU members didn't seem to notice someone quietly observing the ninja school.

Naruto's reaction was normal, given his craving for love and care, which he couldn't accept suddenly, creating inner conflict. As long as Jiraiya stayed with him, Naruto would soon accept him.

Jiraiya found Naruto at the back mountain, sat next to him, and started sharing his stories. Gradually, Naruto's attention was drawn in.
