Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Zombies are coming, easy to kill instantly

Just as Vegeta was about to continue speaking, he noticed the expressions of the glamorous woman and the office worker beside him had changed to one of sheer terror.

"Sir, there's… there's a monster coming!"

Both were horrified at the sight of the zombies—pale, wounded, and expressionless.

Alerted by their warning, Sam and Alice, who had been memorizing details about the Reincarnation Space, also turned to see the approaching monsters, their faces filled with fear.

"Attention all students, a violent incident is occurring on campus. Please follow your teachers' instructions and seek shelter immediately!"

"Repeat, a violent incident is occurring on campus. Please follow your teachers' instructions and…"

At that moment, Vegeta heard the announcement over the school's broadcast system. However, just as the message was about to repeat, the sound abruptly stopped, as if interrupted by some irresistible force.

"Help! Stop! No, no, help…"

After a few seconds, the desperate cries of the announcer filled the air, causing everyone to realize the gravity of the situation.

Hearing the broadcast, a faint smile appeared on Vegeta's lips. Meanwhile, the office worker and Sam, who were experiencing their first mission world, felt a chill down their spines.

Initially, everyone had been hopeful upon seeing the peaceful campus, thinking the situation might not be as dire as described. But now, that hope was completely shattered.

"Master, leave these monsters to me!"

Just then, Henry stepped forward, volunteering eagerly. Having experienced many missions, Henry was no longer afraid of such scenes and was ready to prove himself in front of Vegeta.

"No need."

But Vegeta's calm refusal made Henry step back immediately, silently taking out his Desert Eagle to guard against the slowly approaching zombies.

Vegeta, observing the zombie-like creatures with interest, gathered a bit of energy and casually unleashed it towards the approaching zombies.

"Boom!"

Though the energy didn't form a full blast, it was powerful enough to shatter the zombies within a hundred-meter radius into pieces.

[Ding! You have killed a zombie, gaining 2 points.]

As Vegeta's attack continued, the notifications from the Reincarnation Space kept ringing in his ears. In just an instant, he gained 86 points, indicating he had killed 43 zombies with one move.

Seeing Vegeta's overwhelming power, the others were filled with a mix of fear and awe. Henry, however, looked at Vegeta with admiration, thankful to have found such a powerful ally. He hoped that with Vegeta's help, he might survive future missions.

However, how to gain Vegeta's favor troubled Henry. Vegeta, on the other hand, was indifferent to these concerns. As long as Henry proved useful, Vegeta wouldn't mind lending a hand. But if Henry turned out to be useless, Vegeta would pay him no heed.

With the immediate threat neutralized, the area around Vegeta became clear. The zombies, lacking vision, did not advance towards them, drawn instead to the loud noises from the school building.

Sam and the others noticed this as well, growing puzzled.

It wasn't until the school building erupted in screams that the zombies, as if summoned, rushed towards the sound at a speed comparable to a sprinting adult.

Seeing the speed of the zombies, Vegeta understood that the increased difficulty was due to Henry's presence, which had made the zombies stronger.

Still, this meant nothing to Vegeta. Given his current power, even if the zombies were a hundred times stronger, he could handle them with ease. The only downside would be that the humans on the planet, including Henry and the others, would be quickly overwhelmed.

"So, the zombies seem to be blind and hunt by sound!"

Sam suddenly voiced her observation, albeit hesitantly.

"What? Really? So, if we stay silent, they can't detect us?"

Mia, excited by this possibility, asked eagerly.

The others turned to Sam, seeking confirmation with their eyes.

"Well… I'm not completely sure yet."

Sam, feeling the pressure of everyone's gaze, swallowed nervously. She had shared her observation on instinct, hoping it might help the team in this dire situation.
