Vegeta, firm in his resolve, swiftly locked onto most of the zombies within the school using his energy. Power surged through him as he gathered his strength.
In no time, he created a massive energy ball that floated above his head.
"What is that?"
"Has the sun fallen?"
"We're doomed. It's all over!"
People hiding and observing the surroundings quickly noticed the radiant energy ball in the sky. As the "sun" grew larger, it suddenly split into hundreds of smaller light spheres.
Everything happened so suddenly, yet it felt natural and seamless.
These energy balls scattered, flying in all directions across the campus.

Earlier, on the rooftop of the school building, Rei Miyamoto, Takashi Komuro, and Hisashi Igou appeared.
Just as in the original series, they encountered zombies there. Hisashi, in an attempt to save the careless Rei, grabbed a zombie to restrict its movement.
However, he underestimated the zombie's strength and persistence. It quickly broke free from Hisashi's grip and bit him.
Then it pounced on the still-shocked Takashi, knocking him down and biting him swiftly.
The rapid sequence of events left everyone stunned, but Hisashi managed to react amidst Takashi's screams of pain. Seeing the zombie unguardedly eating Takashi, he swung his bat at the zombie's head, smashing it repeatedly until its head was completely destroyed. Exhausted, he collapsed to the ground.
"Why did this happen? Hisashi, are you okay?"
Seeing the situation, Rei rushed to her boyfriend Hisashi, rather than her childhood friend Takashi. The stark contrast in their actions was evident—if Takashi hadn't frozen up and had acted as quickly as Hisashi, none of them would have been harmed.
Hisashi shook his head slightly, covering his bleeding arm without saying much.
Takashi, seeing Rei's disregard for him, was filled with anger, but considering the situation, he had to suppress his rage.
Following Hisashi's suggestion, the two of them went to the highest part of the roof.
From there, looking at the surrounding smoke and chaos, they were shocked and bewildered.
"What the hell is going on?"
The apocalyptic scene below made Takashi momentarily forget his pain.
"Why? Everything was fine just this morning..."
Seeing the hellish scene below, Rei felt her faith crumbling.
Soon, a few fighter jets roared overhead, their wake nearly knocking the stunned Rei off her feet. Hisashi, quick to react, caught her before she fell.
"Black Hawks!"
Takashi exclaimed, recognizing the aircraft.
"Where did they come from? There's no base nearby."
"Help!"
Rei, thinking they were a rescue team, waved her arms instinctively, hoping to be rescued.
"It's useless. These aren't local defense forces; they wouldn't come here without a specific mission. They have no time to rescue us, and seeing the situation, they won't intervene."
Hisashi, now surprisingly insightful, had figured out much of what was happening.
He didn't naively think they were special and would receive special treatment.
Most importantly, he felt something changing within his body. Seeing everything happening outside, he realized he might be beyond saving.
With a deep breath, Hisashi didn't despair but looked worriedly at Rei. Since he had no hope left, he at least wanted Rei to survive.
"Those things are coming again. What do we do?"
Rei saw two more zombies approaching the rooftop.
Unbeknownst to them, the zombies hadn't fully noticed their presence, hence their slow approach.
"Climb to the highest point and block the stairs."
Hisashi gave the most reasonable suggestion.
"Damn it, let's go!"
Though annoyed by Hisashi's command, Takashi knew it was the best course of action.
With a shout, he led the charge, followed by Hisashi and Rei.
Thanks to Vegeta's earlier commotion, there were only a few newly turned zombies on the roof. Otherwise, the noise they made would have attracted a horde, and the injured trio, including Rei, wouldn't have stood a chance against a large group of enhanced zombies.
