I finally got home and I'm glad no people were out since I'm literally limping while I walk. It would be a big problem if someone saw me because they will surely tell my mom.
I could barely walk right now but I have to endure this, normally I would enter the house using the front door but when there are times I become like this, I have my special door here behind our house.
I carefully opened the door to not cause a noise. I don't know if mom would be inside or not. It's best to be careful..... I don't want her to see me in this sorry state.
I tiptoed around the house and carefully scanned around for mom's presence. Thankfully she's not here yet...
I walked towards the refrigerator to get some ice packs and cold water since I'm extremely thirsty when I noticed a note near the table.
"Son, there's food here just reheat this and there's some colas in the refrigerator. Take care I love you! Mom might stay here in the hospital for days. You know how to cook so I know you got you <3" she wrote.
Tears fell as I read the note she left. She always does these simple gestures and I truly appreciate her.
I hurriedly went to my room. I feel so sticky because of the sweat and cuts on my body. I went to the bathroom and started to clean myself.
I suddenly stopped what I was doing when I saw myself in the mirror. Old bruises on top of new ones, old cuts that have been healed.
I'm glad mom doesn't ask why I always wear hoodies even here in the house and this was the main reason, to hide these scars and bruises.
I couldn't help but touch the scars and bruises... I suddenly felt warmth in my face, I was crying again. Oh God. I'm so miserable. I really can't be like this in front of mom.
I slapped my face and finished cleaning myself and went to bed. I slammed myself, I'm exhausted and tired, I feel weak. I guess the adrenaline wore off.
I'm so sleepy....

I was woken up by a sudden radiance coming from my windows.
"Is the sun up already?" I muttered and as I check my phone it was only 10pm, what an ungodly light for this time of day.
Did someone set up lights on my Neighbors? Gosh can't they have some respect for resting people.
Sigh...
I got out of bed, my body feels heavy but I can't sleep again if I don't block off these lights so I closed the curtains and settled to the bed and drifted back to sleep.

Morning came and I got early out of bed. I'm here at the the living room eating my breakfast while I watch the tv.
My body is still sore and heavy from yesterday's incident. I'm glad today's Saturday so I can rest before coming to school again.
I suddenly got my eyes on the television.
"Last night's extraordinary phenomenon has left the world in awe," the anchor reported, her tone both serious and intrigued.
"A radiant light filled the night sky, lasting until the sun emerged from its slumber this morning. Citizens across the globe are reporting sightings of this mysterious event."
The screen suddenly switched to videos taken by the people in various locations as well as the time that it had been taken. It looked like the world was bathed with an ethereal radiance.
So I wasn't dreaming last night huh.
"We have scientists from around the world joining us to discuss this event," the anchor continued. The screen shifted to a panel of experts, each looking perplexed and concerned.
"It's unprecedented," one scientist said, shaking his head.
"We've never observed anything like this before. The light doesn't match any known atmospheric or astronomical phenomena."
Another scientist chimed in, "We've ruled out solar flares, meteor showers, and any known celestial events. This Radiance, as people are calling it, defies current scientific understanding."
What happened last night ran through my mind. What really happened last night? The tv reports said that everyone around the globe witnessed the unexplained phenomenon.
Curiosity got the best of me so I checked outside to see if it was still there.... Of course I can't clarify it, it's still bright outside. I'm fucking dumb. But still....
The anchor's voice drew my attention back to the present. "Many religious groups are calling this a divine sign, while conspiracy theorists have their own interpretations. The world waits with bated breath for more information."
I cleaned my plate and turned off the television. I better get some exercises so I decided to go outside and take a walk. It won't do harm on my body right?
