On the morning of the day everyone left the capital.
Before leaving, everyone was given weapons and equipment that the two trainers thought were suitable for each person's skills.
Lan was given a sword forged with dragon scales and equipment that helps hide magic power
Tuan was given two short swords created by a famous alchemist
Nam was given a set of armor and a shield made from a special alloy on this planet that can resist magic power
Hai was given a large sword, a sword forged by the dwarf race that the kingdom had destroyed.
The elderly mage gifted magic staffs, attire that enhances magical perception, and badges certifying them as mages to the three individuals with green-light crystals. He also offered them to Lan, but she declined, stating that such equipment was unsuitable for her as a non-mage.
Each group was provided with a week's worth of provisions and a royal decree to facilitate their entry into cities and ensure they received support from the local soldiers.
The 6 heroes departed amidst the cheers of the citizens, symbolizing the hope of this world.
After leaving for a while, they had to separate to go to 2 different cities.
City 1 group waved: "Goodbye everyone, after protecting the 2 cities, we will party together again."
Lan: "Yeah, take care of yourselves. Once this is all over, we can go home together."
Tuan: "That's right, everyone must stay safe."
Hoa: "Tram, after protecting the city, let's have another girls' night to talk more about Lan's lover!!"
Lan: "Hey, last time you barged into my room without telling me anything. And Hoang is not my lover (Not yet)"
Tram: "Haha, yeah, I get it."
Although they had not known each other for long, everyone was as close as old friends, perhaps because they shared the same fate and a common goal to move forward.
Each group had 4 soldiers escorting them and 1 mage accompanying them for support.
After traveling nonstop for an entire week, Lan's group had to confront many strange creatures and monsters. Although they were extremely scared, their unwavering determination allowed them to fight back against them.
Hoa with her magical power Hoa became a vital support for Lan and Tuan. There were soldiers who were seriously injured by monsters but Hoa helped them recover. Her rapid healing ability surprised even the mage accompanying them. Even severed hands, she could heal them as if no injury had ever occurred.
Tuan with his speed and ability to move could quickly approach and finish off the monsters.
As they approached the city, the defense here looked weaker when compared to the capital when it was only protected by 1 wall and the military was also less.
When they reached the city gate, they were stopped by other soldiers. But when they saw the royal decree, everyone hurriedly welcomed them inside.
The residential area here was extremely bright, people were bustling about trading, children were playing and having fun as if there was no war going on, even refugees were supported with accommodation and food with great care. It could be considered a world apart from the Capital, where the people should have looked healthy and peaceful.
Entering the castle, they were welcomed by the commander who was also one of the King's two children. A woman who was called a princess by the others, in a majestic knight armor that looked completely unsuitable for her title of princess.
Tuan whispered: "I thought the King's offspring commanding this place was the Prince, but it turned out to be a princess."
Hoa: "Yeah, I thought so too. I was hoping to meet some handsome prince."
Lan: "Me too, I thought in kingdoms like this, they would favor men over women, so a woman wouldn't be in charge of leading an army. But even though she's a commander, she looks even weaker than Miss H (the female knight who trains everyone)."
Tuan: "Wow, now you can tell the difference between strong and weak people just by looking at them ?"
Princess: "Greetings, my envoys, it's an honor for me to have everyone come here to support me. My name is XXX, princess and also the commander of this stronghold."
Lan, Tuan and Hoa all thought to themselves: "We're being called an envoy again."
Princess: "The current situation is more urgent than we thought, just 2 days ago we received news that the demon king's army has begun marching."
Lan: "Isn't it a few weeks before the enemy army starts marching!?"
Hoa: "Luckily Cuong has planned for us to leave early."
The princess continued: "The enemy has been replenished and it seems that they will attack both cities at the same time, in about 3 days we will have to confront them. So, sorry for not being able to welcome everyone properly but right now we must immediately plan for evacuation and fighting."
Lan cheerfully replied: "No problem, actually it's fine if it's earlier. I've been wanting to finish as quickly as possible. Starting early isn't bad either."
Hoa: "I don't feel reluctant to help everyone early. Just looking at the peace and prosperity of the people here shows that the commander, which means you, is a good person. If it's to help good people, then there's no problem at all."
Tuan: "While implementing the plan, everyone please let us know about the enemy's information."
The princess was grateful for everyone's enthusiasm: "Thank you everyone, since everyone is just an outsider, don't try too hard. We will try to solve our own problems."
After that, everyone quickly got acquainted with the knights there and discussed strategies to attack the enemy and plans to find shelter for the civilians. They planned to evacuate the citizens into the underground tunnels within the city the next day. If there wasn't enough space, they would lead everyone into the castle to take shelter temporarily.
Lan, using the knowledge she gained from anime and combining it with the magic she had learned, created a massive army of 200 stone Golems, each towering at 10 meters tall. The sight of such powerful warriors amazed everyone. However, as it was her first time creating them, they could only remain active for 2 hours. Hoa also assisted in creating Golems alongside Lan, but she was only able to summon 100 Golems, with the same 2-hour duration for them.

First, they identified key strategic locations within the city and its surroundings. The primary objective was to delay the enemy's advance long enough for the citizens to evacuate safely into the underground tunnels and the castle, which would serve as a last line of defense. The soldiers would be stationed at key chokepoints and fortified walls, prepared to fight back as the civilian population fled to safety.
Lan's Golem army would be placed at the front, forming a solid defense line to absorb the initial impact of the enemy's attack. Their towering stature and immense strength would help create a buffer against the powerful Orcs and other ground-based threats. Despite the short lifespan of the Golems, they would be crucial in slowing the enemy's advance, giving the soldiers and archers time to regroup and prepare.
While the Golems kept the enemy occupied, Hoa would utilize her healing abilities to keep the soldiers in fighting condition. Her magic would be vital, especially considering the expected casualties from the fierce battles ahead. She would also coordinate with the mage units to provide magical support for both offense and defense.
Tuan, with his speed and teleportation ability, rushed to the front lines alongside Lan to defeat as many enemies as possible, thus quickly getting closer to the enemy's commander.
In the event the enemy began to breach the frontlines, the city's defenders would fall back to secondary positions. The plan was to use the terrain to their advantage, especially near narrow streets and alleyways, where the larger, slower enemies like Orcs and Minotaurs would be at a disadvantage. This would allow the soldiers to take out the enemy in smaller numbers, reducing the risk of being overwhelmed.
Meanwhile, the castle would serve as the final bastion. The royal guards, along with elite units, would retreat there in case of a last-ditch effort. Traps and magical wards would be set up around the castle to create a final defense, ensuring that any enemy trying to breach the walls would face significant resistance.
