Chapter 22 - WHAT AN ANGEL

As I slowly opened my eyes, I was met with a blur of faces hovering above me.

"Is he dead?" someone asked, their voice laced with concern.

"I think he's dead," another voice replied, sounding uncertain.

"No, he's still moving. He's alive!" a third voice chimed in.

I felt a surge of water splash across my face, and my eyes sprang open wider. I coughed, spluttering as the water dripped down my chin.

"Ah, he's awake!" the first voice exclaimed. I quickly sat up, breathing really heavily. I saw the taxi driver and two other men by his side, one skinny and the other very muscular.

Maybe too muscular, but he looked friendly and had a concerned look on his face. They all did. "Hey, lad," the taxi driver said with a calm tone, as he reached to touch my shoulder.

But at that moment, the only thing on my mind was the girl I saved. "Where is she?" I said, breaking the silence, making the taxi driver shriek as he withdrew his hand immediately.

"Oh, you don't need to worry, lad. She's very much okay. We noticed she was drunk, and -"

"What's up with the long stories?" I asked, interrupting. "Where is she?" I asked more boldly this time, making the taxi driver shriek again.

"Okay, Jared, you take it from here," he said to the muscular one, stepping behind him.

What a big baby.

"Okay, we don't want to harm you, lad. We are helping you. You passed out, and we just decided to -" Jared tried sounding nice, but still wasn't answering my question.

"My God, didn't they understand simple English, or were they just testing my patience right now ... or is something wrong with her? Is she hurt? Oh my..." I was about to lose it when I saw her poke her head into the room from the corridor.

"Is he awake?" Her voice turned down all my emotions instantly, as my gaze fed on her body immediately she stepped in.

She was in a different outfit, more like a nightgown that accentuated her shape in a way I had never seen before, from her neck to her breasts, which seemed more plump. I think it was because of how freely the nighty hung on her divine body. - Snap! Snap! Jared brought me back to reality, snapping his fingers at my face, as she giggled, noticing I was looking at her, and I think she was blushing.

What an angel

"I later noticed you passed out in the back seat, and I didn't know what to do. I was scared at first, so I called my hood guy, Jared, here," the taxi guy continued.

"And I told him to bring you guys over that I would be here in a jiffy, and he did," Jared continued his statement.

"I had a little issue with the cops at the checkpoints, but it was nothing some money couldn't handle." The taxi guy completed the statement from Jared again.

I understood all they kept saying at the moment, but I didn't even give them a glance, still couldn't take my eyes off her.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked, cutting Jared and the taxi guy short, as she nodded again. I noticed tears gathered in her eyes. "Thank you," she said, her voice barely a whisper, as she rushed towards me and gave me a hug.

Resting my head on her soft stomach made me let out a deep breath. I just wanted to enter her at that moment. Or was I being too fast with my movements and decisions?

"Okay, that's enough for now; he needs a bath," the taxi guy said, as she left me slowly, looking into my eyes, and let out a short giggle that presented her cute dimples… God! I have never seen a girl so beautiful in my entire horrible life.

She just made me happy just by looking at her. But this stupid guy just had to ruin the moment, didn't he?

"Thank you," she said again, holding my face with her really soft palms. Did I mention she smelled like flowers and baby powder?

Yeah... "You're welcome," I said, just when Jared broke the silence again. "Okay, you need to take a shower and get prepared for dinner," Jared said, as he led the way for everyone to leave. "I'm Tony, by the way, since you didn't ask," the slim one said, waving at me with an extremely wide smile that made me feel kinda uncomfortable. It was weird, but I just smiled back at him.

I was calm, noticing she was fine. "Take a shower; we will be downstairs having dinner. We will be waiting for you," Jared said, as he led the pretty girl out of the room.

"Oh, wait!" I said immediately, making them come to a sharp halt as they turned to me.

"You never told me your name," I said, looking her in the eye. "I'm Amara," she said, giving me a smile as she and Jared left the room, and Jared softly shut the door.

"Amara? That's an African name. Is she African? I can't believe this ha! Woah !

I am exclaimed as I looked down, finally becoming conscious of where I was. Everything in this room was classy and looked quite standard for a home of a taxi driver, but who am I to judge? It was nice, and it was okay by me.

I wiggled my body a little bit to check if I would feel any pain, but just as I expected, I didn't. So I finally came down from the bed, putting my weight on my left foot just to be sure it had healed. And it was as normal as my right one. I really didn't expect my leg to heal that fast, but still, I was glad it did. I was sure I would cry if I experienced such pain again.

I quickly rushed my hands into my pockets, remembering my phone, the wristwatch, and the small book Bony had given me before meeting his end.

"This is still confusing," I said, looking at the book with a seal over it and a small hole in the middle of the lock.

"I'll definitely get back to you," I said gently, putting the book, watch, and phone on the huge bed before me.

Amara just kept coming through my mind; she just made me happy for some reason. She made me just want to... Just... Oh no, I was already feeling... I took off my clothes and noticed I was hard already.

Damn!

I made my way into the lovely bathroom, admiring the huge bathtub and the classy things all over the bathroom.

Ahh!

I tried But I couldn't ignore the feeling, like if she was here at the moment, I would rip off her clothes and devour her. I'm just so …. I'm so horny right now

Finally, I sighted the soap, just there in the bathroom on the sink, and smiled as I made my way in and helped myself.
