Chapter 5 - My new life

After that day time flew by fast, well 14 years to be precise. The incident died down quicker than expected though the memory remained fresh in the minds of some.

He and his mother lived in a small yet sturdy 2 story building wrapped by vines and painted with a fading white color which still held it's beauty in the more quiet area of the village away from the main ones that were a hotspot for most village activities.

His mother owned a flower shop on the ground floor which they had a variety of flower species ranging from the typical rose to more exotic choices some which were displayed on an evenly crafted table just in front of the shop.

Gonzo helped his mother in making deliveries, picking important materials for her business and buying food from the market when needed. He was a multipurpose work bot who was good at chores mainly because the memories from his past life were still pretty fresh so he didn't need to be thought.

When he was younger witnessing him able to do some difficult chores used to send chills down her spine but over the years she got used to it and brushed it off as him being naturally gifted as for him he thought he was just fulfilling his basic obligations and nothing more plus through the delivery work he was able to become familiar with the villages landscape and build bonds with some people while his mother focused more on the business.

The village was in a state of solice as always and nothing out of the ordinary had occured. The villagers carried on with their daily lives as always with no stress or worries.

Amongst them was a young boy with ocean blue hair who seemed to be roaming amongst the crowd. His face was drowsy with dark circles as though they were painted beneath his eyes, his smile was short yet mysterious and his focus was lost buried somewhere else as his long connecting curtain cut swayed to direction of the breeze covering his black, lifeless eyes.

He was moving discreetly like a ghost amongst the crowd towards a somewhat secluded area that was rearely visited by people. The sight of littered floors, the rotten smell of garbage and it's dismantled objects was enough to put off anyone from taking that route but he was different.

Maintaining his smile from earlier he strolled through the alley with maximum composure with a brown bag containing an unknown item in his hand until he finally arrived at a slightly rundown house at the end. It's roof was shaky and the paint faded with various cracks on the concrete and dead trees in the background not to mention the dead silence creating an even more grim atmosphere yet he remained unphazed.

"Hey old man I'm here!" He yelled towards the seemingly abandoned house and waited, listening to his reverberating echoes die out. Suddenly the front door moved forward slightly and a silhouette appeared

"Did you bring the goods?" The figure behind the door said in a low tone as though it were trying to hide from someone.

Raising the bag slightly higher making it more visible to the person and repliying in a calm tone "Here it is just as promised come take it before we're caught. I don't want anyone finding out about this"

"Alright then just drop it on the front porch and I'll check the contents"His voice shoke with fear as he spoke. The boy followed the voices directions accordingly and stepped back to watch as the figure lurking behind the door carefully checked the bag till he was satisfied.

Finally it stopped verifying the the contents and redirected it's ominous stare towards the boy once more "I must say...."He uttered with an eerie tone which sounded threatening however.... "This stack of magazines really looks praise worthy well done!" He changed his tone almost immediately as a sign of satisfaction.

"Your deranged sending a minor to pick up dirty magazines for an old man like your self" His stare intensified with his veins rising visibly across his face at the sound of the old man's remarks.

"I didn't force you after all your the one who needed someone to train him not to mention I was never going to do it for free and you couldn't afford my fees now, or could you?"

"Definitely not your a low key scammer for all I care to know and the fact they haven't caught me is a miracle cuz the only person getting in trouble would be you."

"There's no way you'll get caught, not with that appearance" The man pointed out mockingly without moving an inch away from the door he was hiding.

"Haaaaah"The boy let out a short sigh before moving on "well I just came here to say my final goodbyes cuz after today I won't be coming here anymore and also I won't be picking up any more of your adult magazines. "Wash your damn dirty linens yourself for heavens sake!"

The man pushed the door more slightly forward to get a better view of his sincerity as he was speaking and though he had an unclear mind about what was going through his head he couldn't help but blurt out his mind based on what he speculated the reason to be.

"So does that mean you intend on initiating your plans so soon?"

"I have to, the way things are going if I don't leave sooner then I'll continue this stale unending cycle that's had me sick to my stomach for years"

"Hmmmmm, well since it's come to that I wish you good luck on your path"His shadowy eyes dropped a bit lower and his once menacing glare suddenly vanished as though his mood switched completely.

"Is that all you have to say for a last goodbye?" He asked with his composure unshaken like he was unemotional in the slightest.

Half way through completely closing the door His words reverberated in the man's head and he had a sudden jolt of realization "How very silly of me I apologize! Would you like like to take some dirty magazines with you?"

Confused by his gesture his face lost all clarity and his expression unreasonable "Bro no normal adult offers porn magz to a teen!"

"Then why'd you friggin ask?" His eyes narrowed furiously and his voice was overcome with rage "Bang!" Slamming the door viciously he snubbed him without a single whisper or remorse.

(I've been coming here for 6 years and yet he didn't even step out that door to give me a proper fair well) His mind concurred before turning away from the houses direction in the same respects.

The relationship between him and the man we're of student and master after all his body was unable to produce any man and was slightly weaker naturally so he needed some special training to build his body up to the level of someone who does and the only person capable of that was the shut in.

He was a former adventurer who retired due to some reasons he never explained to him but throughout the whole of 6years he trained him to the best of his abilities and even formed a bond though it was a bit uncomfortable for the latter.

once again he walked on the public streets but this time his thoughts were in even bigger disarray than earlier.

( After all this time of working for a perv I can't even get one heartwarming speration scene. Im really starting to regret some life choices I mean seriously....)

His thoughts continued to scatter as he walked carelessly on the streets bumping into almost everything that was in his way until it was suddenly gathered together by a familiar voice he knew all too well.

"Gonzo! I know that's you so turn around and face me!" Unfortunately for him it was non other than his mother who usually never left home standing right behind him on the street unexpectedly.

His expression changed like the colors of a chameleon he could even feel his skin getting cold and his teeth chattered uncontrolabely as though it were stuck on repeat. He swiftly wipped the sweat dripping on his face an ran towards the spot where his mother was standing trying to hide his nervousness as much as he could.

"M...M....Mom what are you doing here?" His heart pounded like a beaten drum yet managed to utter words calmly as usual in attempts to divert as much public attention as possible

With a large frown his mother lowered her gaze at him and cracked her fists with intensity. The aura oozing around her screamed "Run away as fast possible" and he got the hint loud and clear.

"Gonzo dear... what are you doing here? I hope you wouldn't happen to be hiding something from me?" Her scowl grew larger and she made a face he had never seen before which made him feel as though a hole should swallow him from out of nowhere or anything that would get him out of the situation should occur

"N...N.....No mam I'm not hiding anything I swear" His eyes were restless though his head was lowered, he wouldn't dare look her in the face and lie but neither did he think she would believe her so easily.

"That's really good! I was scared for a second you were becoming a delinquent" Her demeanor reverted back to it's original sweet and sugary nature.

"What made you think that mom?" He was puzzled at the time.

"It's nothing really I just received a call from some guy who said he caught you buying adult magz though you were underaged and that I should hurry before things could get worse"

(Some guy?..... WAIT! That bastard set me up. But what's more horrific is how quickly she got here I hadn't even left his place till at least 3 minutes ago) Gonzo was stunned by his realization but saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation.

"Goes to show you should never trust strangers and you should trust your son more"

"Alright, Alright I'm sorry I'll make it up to you I swear it"

"Thanks for trusting me as always" on the outside he pulled out his life is a breeze expression but on the inside he had a twisted and devilish grin.

To prevent any other unexpected surprises Gonzo grabbed his mothers hand and pulled her with him as he made a tactical retreat.

As they walked to their home together his mother calmly spoke to him with her tone having a hint of concern.

"I trust you always Gonzo but remember what I always say" placing her hand gently upon his head "Money doesn't buy happiness son"

Briefly letting out a short "sigh!" Gonzo shut his eyes and replied to his mother with an equally calm tone."Neither does poverty but hey let's keep saying that phrase so we can keep feeling better about not being rich am I right"

."Not all rich people are happy that's why even having millions won't fill the void in a persons heart"

"Haaaaah" he began blurting "please don't lump me in with the few who don't actually know how to SPEND money but no panic I guess, just wait and see what happens when I make it big!"

His mother replied by swiftly swinging her other hand with force across his face. The sound was like a short clap but in his ear it was like the continuous ringing of school Bell's.

"You shouldn't argue with your mother!"

(Owwww..... That still stings)

After maintaining a breif period of silence Gonzo finally decided to break the ice since they were currently alone at their current location.

"I.....I..... would like to tell you something"

"I thought something was on your mind now speak up I won't get mad I promise"

Gonzo breathed in a heavy amount of air and pulled his chest out before yelling out his thoughts in one breath

"I want us to leave this place!"

But his mother did not take his request very likely as her face lost all expression and her eyes Lost all colour turning to a lifeless pitch black.

"WHAT did you say to me?" A more freightning scowl grew on her face sending chills down his spine to the very last bone however, He wasn't willing to back down so easily so he stood his ground and refused to falter as he locked eyes with his mother dragging him into a severe stare down with both their egos on the table.
