A week has passed since the successful operation in Os. After the infantry and armored divisions landed on the shores of the city, they initiated an operation targeting the capital city of Norge, Osfjord.
The Legadonia Entente Alliance is composed of three countries.
Vinland (Finland) who occupies the eastern region of the alliance, near the Russy Federation. They abstained from joining the war against the Empire, anticipating a certain defeat.
Sweoland (Sweden) who holds the central part of the alliance.
Norge (Norway) who controls the westernmost region of the alliance.
The city of Os, the site of the amphibious landing, is located in Norge. Its capital city, Osfjord, is the focus of the new operation. Osfjord, situated in what is today known as Oslo, Norway's real capital, also houses the government of the Legadonia Entente Alliance.
The Great German Empire aims to cripple the central government of the entire alliance, facilitating the conquest of the remaining territories. Following their landing in Os, the Empire's infantry and armored divisions leveraged the extensive network of train tracks surrounding the city. This strategic use of railways significantly enhanced their maneuverability.
Utilizing these train tracks, the Empire's forces executed flanking maneuvers, appearing unexpectedly behind Alliance lines. Their superior mobility and fierce combat tactics led to the rapid fall of numerous towns and cities.
In response, the government and military leaders of the alliance have barricaded themselves within Osfjord, preparing for the Empire's inevitable assault. However, they knew that all of this was all for naught.
They knew that the Empire would lead their forces and compel them to surrender, and inevitably, it happened. The Empire sent an ultimatum demanding the Alliance's unconditional surrender.
Despite the dire situation, the leaders of the Alliance were resolute. They understood the consequences of yielding their lands to the ruthless Empire. Surrendering was out of the question; they could not bear the thought of relinquishing their power towards their enemies who they once thought of as weak.
Their steadfastness was as much a product of pride as it was of principle. This stubborn pride clouded their judgment, preventing them from considering alternative strategies that might save their people and preserve some semblance of autonomy.
The leaders of the Alliance were entrenched in their beliefs, refusing to acknowledge the full extent of the Empire's overwhelming power and the futility of prolonged resistance.
The atmosphere within the fortified walls of Osfjord was tense. As the Empire's forces drew closer, the Alliance's leaders debated their next moves. Some suggested seeking aid from distant allies, while others proposed guerrilla tactics to harass and slow the Empire's advance.
Yet, every suggestion was met with the same obstinate resistance, rooted in a refusal to abandon their pride, even in the face of annihilation.
One politician with the name of Abensoll, the Foreign Affairs Councilor of the Alliance, suggested having a government in Exile.
This suggestion caught the attention of the Alliance Council. They recognized the necessity of establishing a government in exile to maintain their national identity. Their useless pride fixated on the symbolic importance of a government as the embodiment of the country, but they overlooked one crucial truth: it is the citizens who truly constitute the nation.
The citizens of Osfjord, unaware of the internal turmoil among their leaders, prepared for the worst. Families stockpiled supplies, and those who could, fortified their homes. The once bustling capital had become a city on edge, bracing for the inevitable clash with the invincible Empire.
In the meantime, the Empire's forces continued their methodical advance, exploiting their logistical advantages and superior tactics. Towns and villages along the way were swiftly overtaken, their defenders either fleeing or being captured. The Empire's soldiers, disciplined and relentless, left a trail of conquest in their wake.
Once the Empire reached the borders of Osfjord, they set up numerous temporary camps in order to give the Alliance time to evacuate their people.
The Empire is not a barbaric country whose main concern is the destruction of all. The Empire wants to rule the alliance as a country, however, how can they rule a country if there are no citizens within it.
So the Empire dropped numerous papers which entailed the details of a lucrative surrender towards the Empire.
The Citizens of the Alliance knew that fighting the Empire is a losing battle so they went to the streets and rally against their government.
Faced with mounting public pressure, the government was forced to reconsider. Their pride, however, was not easily relinquished. They retreated into a desperate bid to maintain their dignity by negotiating for a government in exile. In their final act of defiance, they reached out to various nations for sanctuary.
The Commonwealth, recognizing the strategic and symbolic importance of hosting the exiled government, accepted their request.
However, will the Empire let the instigators of the war escape?
Nein.
They give leniency to the Alliance's citizens because they would soon be the Empire's citizens, however, the Alliance's government is another topic.
They formed a blockade on the Northern Sea of the Empire, in order to intercept any government leaders who attempted to escape via sea.
The government's families and friends on the other hand were given leniency. The Alliance knew about it so they sent their families on a boat towards their families abroad.
Anson Sue himself sent his wife and daughter towards his wife's homeland, the United States.
"Father, will you really not come with us?"
The bitc- ehem, ehem, Mary Sue hugged her father tightly.
"You know I cannot do that, my daughter. You know what, how about you wait for me in the United States alright?"
"But… but…"
"No buts, alright? Listen to your mom. She knows that country the best, right?"
Mary's mother, who is the epitome of elegance and ladyness, approached her daughter.
"Yes, Mary. The United States is a great country, you know? It is also a beautiful country and is the embodiment of freedom."
"Really mother? But… I wish father would also see such lands with me…"
Anson then caressed his daughter's head.
"Don't worry Mary, I would immediately join you, so wait for me okay?"
"Okay father…"
"Go on now, go inside the boat okay? Listen to your mom too."
Anson gave his daughter and wife a final tight hug. He knew that his chances of survival were slim.
Mary and her mother boarded the ship with the United States's flag and waved towards her father who was waving back.
Before the ship departed, Mary shouted one final sentence towards her father.
"FATHER!!! COME BACK OKAY?! I HAVE ALSO LEFT A GIFT ON YOUR BED!!"
Anson, surprised that her daughter left him a gift, smiled towards her family.
"Goodbye my lovely daughter! I hope you stay safe!"
As the ship went past the horizon, Anson stopped his waving and don a serious expression. He then went back to his room and saw the gift that his daughter left him. It was a wooden box intended to safeguard something precious, as seen on the ornaments of the box.
Opening the box, Anson saw a simple gun, however, he knew that this gun is one of the best guns in the current world (He does not know about the guns of the Empire, except for the SVD).
The gun was a submachine gun. It was the state-of-the-art gun that was made by the Commonwealth. It packs a punch in close quarters combat, and is sure to penetrate any passive mage shield.
Anson observed this gun and strapped it on his shoulders.
Before leaving, he knelt down with one foot, and prayed.
Oh Lord, please protect Mary.
He then stood up and went back to his duty, and that is to prepare for the government in exile.
Going back to the ship on the horizon, Mary Sue was definitely worried about her father.
She then remembered the 'grandpa' that she saw 3 weeks ago.
The 'grandpa' was obviously old, yet still stands straight like a bamboo. This 'grandpa' was a stall owner in Osfjord market.
Mary Sue saw the 'grandpa' that was manning his own stall. She was wholly focused on a simple bracelet that was on the stall, to not see that her surroundings are still in time.
"Hello, little child."
Mary Sue was shocked, she was very focused on the bracelet to not even greet the stall owner.
"Do you like this bracelet, little child?"
The old man picked up the bracelet that Maru had her sights on. The design of the bracelet is akin to today's friendship bracelets. It was made of hemp and its color is a bit dull, black and gray. Although it was dull, Mary, for some reason, found it appealing, so she nodded.
"Then here, have it for free."
Mary immediately shook her head.
"No, grandpa. I must pay for it. How can you buy food if you give things away for free?"
The 'grandpa' chuckled.
"Don't bother about this old man, little child. Accept this for it will be of help to you in the near future."
Hearing the word 'help' made Mary think about his father.
"Yes, little child. Any help you think of will be granted. You just need to pray thoroughly for it.."
Like a sinister snake, the old man persuades Mary to take it.
Mary then grabbed her coin purse, dug out a coin, and presented the coin to the old man.
"Then… grandpa… In exchange for this bracelet, please accept this coin of mine. Please do not refuse."
"Okay, little child."
The old man picked the silver coin on Mary's hand, while Mary grabbed the bracelet that was on Belial's hand.
Mary adorned the bracelet for a bit and then wore it into her right wrist.
Upon seeing that the bracelet fits her wrist perfectly, he turned to the old 'grandpa' to say her thanks, but… the 'grandpa'''s stall disappeared…
Mary was confused, but she paid it no mind. She just thinks that a lot of time had passed since she admired the bracelet, so the 'grandpa' packed his things up and left. She then went on to other stalls in order to continue her shopping spree.
Thinking about the words of the 'grandpa' that she saw previously, Mary pushed her sleeves up and saw the hemp bracelet on her right wrist.
She removed it from her wrist, knelt down, and prayed religiously.
She closed her eyes, clasped her hands, and in between her hands was the bracelet.
Oh Lord, if you ever hear this, please protect my father and make me stronger… If only I have the power to protect my father… I would be able to help my father and fight by his side!
Upon thinking of this, the bracelet glowed a strange red light, becoming a golden light as time passed by, until it dissolved into ashes.
Mary can see that her bracelet turned into ashes and was amazed. She then felt a strange heat near her heart, and made a vow.
I will train hard! For my father! For my nation!
Unbeknownst to Mary, Belial, who had disappeared in front of Felix and Tanya, had visited her in the guise of the old man.
Since Belial and Idun made a pact of no interference and of giving gifts of equal value to their players, Belial left a gift for Mary.
Since he cannot just appear in front of Mary and grant her powers, Belial put the powers into the bracelet that Mary was given.
He blessed/cursed it with numerous blessings/curses so that the one bestowed will be an unstoppable machine.
For the first blessing/curse, Mary's destiny will be like a shining star in the night sky. Glittering with utmost brilliance and never to fade. She will be one of the pillars of the nation she will choose to serve, and would bring utmost destruction to its enemies.
For the second blessing/curse. Mary would be protected by miracles. No swords will slash her. No bullets will graze her. No fire will burn her to ashes. No wounds will be seen on her very flesh. Only a miracle can hurt her.
For the third blessing/curse. Mary would gain paramount mana. Her mana would be one of the best in the world, as compared to Tanya and Felix's mana.
While these blessings seemed advantageous, they came at a grave cost. Mary's soul would be eternally bound to Belial, unlike Idun's more benevolent sponsorship. This sinister pact would make her an unstoppable force, but at the price of her freedom and soul.
As Mary stood on the deck, her determination hardened. She would harness these powers, unaware of the true cost, and train in order to fight with her father and for her nation with an unwavering spirit….
_______________
In a city at the Northern Coast of the Empire.
Felix and Tanya are in a restaurant.
They are currently eating together on a large table full of dishes.
Currently, they have finished their entrées and are now being presented with deserts.
In front of them are slices of blueberry cheesecake.
Felix then noticed Tanya's plate which had three slices of blueberry cheesecake…
"Seriously? You can still eat that many after demolishing tons of meat, potatoes, and pasta? You also absorbed the Schnitzel like no other!"
Tanya just shrugged her shoulders and stabbed her fork in the cake slice and ate it.
"Well, I heard in our past life that women have a different stomach for desserts and strangely… it was true!
"That's so stupid."
"Stupid or not, I am still eating these slices and nothing can stop me!"
Felix just laughs at Tanya. Looking at Tanya, her previously noodle-like arms are now plumped with flesh. Though it is still not on the level of Visha's plumpness, it is close to that… Well… ½.
"What are you thinking of?"
"Nothing."
The two ate their dessert and cherished it when suddenly, the waiter went near them and presented a telephone to Tanya.
"Major. The Northern Command would like to speak to you."
Looking at the waiter, Felix noticed that he dons a reverent expression towards Tanya.
He must have heard about Tanya's feats in the North.
The waiter then also bowed towards Felix, who also dons a reverent expression…
Of course… Although I specifically said to the newspaper agency to put the spotlight on Tanya… as a member of the Imperial family who also moves with the soldiers… I would be also gathering attention…
Felix then heard Tanya muttering some words towards the person she was talking to.
"Allright, General. I will be there with my wing."
Tanya then looked towards Felix.
"And with his Highness too."
Felix then pointed towards himself and tilted his head while mouthing silently.
"Me?"
Tanya just raised her eyebrow as a sign of affirmation.
Once Tanya was done, the waiter moved the telephone away and Felix asked for the bill.
The waiter then shook his head and said to the duo.
"Don't worry about it, Your Highness and Major. Our manager said that it will be free."
"Seriously?"
Felix then pointed towards Tanya.
"With the number of dishes she ate? You might be left bankrupt!"
Tanya then threw a single piece of potato towards Felix, which he grabbed in mid-air and ate.
"You ate a lot too, you know?!"
Looking at the two bickering duo, the waiter just silently laughed.
"Don't worry about it, your highness. We will not be bankrupt nor will we be forced to close down."
"That's a relief then."
Felix and Tanya stood up and went outside of the establishment.
Outside, a car was already waiting for them. Following the car were 3 more cars which had Felix's Imperial Guards.
Tanya then looked towards Felix.
"You know, being with you is hella great. I get to eat a lot and afterwards, a whole convoy is waiting for us."
"Well if you like it that much-"
"Don't even say it now. I know what you are thinking and I would just say no. At least wait until the war ends."
"Alright."
Felix, knowing that there is a chance, happily went towards the door of the car and opened it for Tanya.
"Here my lady."
"Shut up."
Oh how hormones do to teenager's bodies and emotions...
After Tanya went inside the car, Felix also went in.
Carl, the driver of the car, asked Felix where to go.
"Where should we go, your highness?"
"Let's go towards the Northern Command."
"Understood, your highness."
The car drove through the busy streets of the city. Numerous beautiful sights can be seen. Stalls and stores that were decorated in order to attract customers are a norm in this city. Citizens are seen happily spending their time with their family within these very streets.
Since the car that they were situated on is an open-car, meaning there is no roof, numerous people saw them and waved, to which they waved back.
Seeing the peaceful atmosphere of the city, Felix would do anything to protect such peace.
Felix also looked at Tanya and thought about giving her the peace she sought most after all of this was over.
Tanya noticed that Felix was looking at her so she said the following with her elbow leaning on the windowsill of the car..
"What are you staring at?"
"Nothing."
"Come on, tell me, I won't bite."
"Nah fam, you will definitely bite."
The two joked around before arriving at the Northern Command.
In front of the establishment, Tanya's squadron leaders can be seen. They were already radioed in by Tanya before in order to go to the Northern Command.
Tanya and Felix went down their car.
The Squadron Leaders then saluted.
"Your highness! Commander!"
Tanya then eased them.
"At ease men. Let's head towards the general's office."
However, just as they walked a few steps, a bunch of children noticed them.
"Ah! It's the Argent and the Adler!" Ratatatata! Bang! Bang! Bang! bang!"
Yes, Felix received the nickname of Adler, or eagle in english.
Going back, the children mock fired at them with their own sticks and broom.
Tanya then told her wing.
"What are you doing? Will you not fire back?"
"Ah.. Commander…"
The squadron leaders and some of Felix's guards faced the children and mock fired too.
"Ratatatata! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Ahh! The Argent and the Adler's forces are too overwhelming! Retreat!!"
The children then ran back while still laughing.
Looking at the act of the bunch of grown, scary ass men and women, playing with children makes Felix want to laugh, but he knew the importance of why Tanya played with these children.
"Listen up men. Children are the future of this nation. We, as adults, need to ensure their future by giving them time to grow and protecting them against the aggressors of our country. We must keep them away from harm and ensure that our country's future is great."
""Yes, Commander/Major.""
Felix then put his hands on Tanya's shoulder and showed her a thumbs up.
After a while of playing with the children, Felix and Tanya's group head towards the general's office.
However, before going inside the establishment… Goldy, Felix's Golden Eagle, flew towards Felix and perched on his head. Felix then stretched his right arm and caressed Goldy's beak.
"Have you missed me, Goldy?"
*Screech*
:"Oh, you know I care for you right? I left you here in order to not put you in harm's way."
Goldy then pecked Felix's head.
"OUCH! Hey!"
*Screech*
"Alright, next time I'll let you join."
Felix looked at Tanya who was looking at her weirdly.
"You can understand it?"
"Yeah…"
*Screech*
"You are weird."
*Screech*
"Don't agree with her!"
The group laughed and went towards the general's office.
Inside the room, the general from the general staff of the Central Command can be seen. It was Zettour.
Zettour stood up and saluted towards Felix.
"Salute! Your highness."
"At ease."
Zettour then pointed towards the seats in front of his table.
Once Felix and Tanya are seated.
Zettour then made a serious expression…
"Your highness… Major Degurechaff… There is an operation for both of you."

Yow yow yow! Slow chapter for today…
Next chapter would be the submarine incident. I am thinking of ways in order to implicate the Commonwealth but… yeah, I am drawing blanks. In the manga, spoilers alert, the body of the dead Abensoll was not found…Yes, he was killed by the Commonwealth mage but… the relationship between the Alliance and the Commonwealth still remains…. Since they didn't know the commonwealth killed Abensoll…
Since Felix is now in this world, and with knowledge of the incident, I think Felix can drive a wedge between the two nations… Well.. Anson and Abensoll will still be dead no doubt.
Yeah, fam. I hope you enjoyed my FF and again… peace out!!
