Chapter 3 - Chapter 3- War in the East ?

[8 of September 1902]

Two years have passed since I was reborn as Alexei Romanov. The prince and heir to the Great Empire of Muscovite.

Who could have imagined that after finding out that I had terminal Brain cancer that when I eventually died I would be reborn as a prince with all my memories and knowledge of my past and life intact? And to a world that is decades if not centuries behind in terms of technology understanding as I was in the year 2057 when I died so our technology is far superior with the technology of any other nation in the world of this current era. So if, when I became Tsar, I start to design and produce futuristic technologies, everyone is going to believe that I am a God of knowledge sent from heaven to rule the Great Muscovite Empire. Although I was a little disappointed that I wasn't sent to a world with magic and fantasy with monsters to fight, but there are still a lot of possibilities that could be fun and entertaining about the future. For example, I know that learning magic is cool but, are you willing to live in a fantasy world with no understanding of the world itself and that you would have to risk your live everyday to make ends meet and without talking about the diseases and infections that you could get because the lack of hygiene, or, being reincarnated in your world but in a different timeline as the prince and heir to the throne of a massive empire with the knowledge about the future and its technologies, and by implementing does same technologies everyone is going to give you credit for it. You could manufacture supercars and jets, you could make fast food restaurants, you could open a clothing shop or open a company that makes electronics such as televisions and smartphones, computers, air pods and much, much more.

The possibilities are endless. But first I need the people to recognize me as a genius and then I need to become the Tsar so that I could start to modernize this empire and to make it the best and most powerful in the world. I can already imagine futuristic cold war era aircraft and tanks and vehicles, with soldiers with modern weapons, conquering the battlefield and showing the world that they should fear us but also respect us and that under my kindness and under my rule, their nations are going to react levels of technological understanding that they could not even imagine in their dreams.

And it seems I have already made a very big impression. It seems that my father has very high expectations for me so a few days after my first birthday he instructed that I must start to get tutored by the royal tutors, but after a week they reported to my father that there was nothing else to teach me. Be it Mathematics, medicine, Geopolitics, Finance etc. They would still come twice a week to give me an exam on which I always got a perfect score. So I had a lot of free time and it was in my free time that I learned even more information, the most important for me being that I am already arranged to be married to another girl that is the same age as me.

She is the one of the Sultans' daughters from the Anatolian Empire ( is basically the Ottoman Empire ) Hayriye Hanımsultan, but I will only see her when I am to become the next Tsar so there is still a lot of time. Another thing that I learned was that the Muscovite Empire is far larger than the Russian Empire from my world, and in this world its borders expand to encompass most of Asia and most of the Balkans as well as most of the Middle East. The same goes to the Anatolian Empire, their borders encompass most of the land that is Africa with no territory on the Arabian Peninsula and only a strip of land that connects central Anatolia to Africa through the lands of Syria and Jordan, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine. Their economy is like ours, 10x that of my original world and the same for their military, but the lives of the people are basically the same as in my timeline.

I also found out that my father, grandfather and great grandfather, are not some great rulers as the royal tutors depicted them to be, sure they are great military generals and have won a lot of wars so that our empire could be here as it is now and their economic policies are not that bad and in fact have help the empire's economy to rise a lot through the decades of their rule, but their domestic policies are what is making the empire stagnate and fall being the rest of Europa.

Our empire has a population of 998.975 billion people, yes our population is something out of this old, I never thought that the world could accumulate this many people, but because instead of trying to improve the internal conditions of the empire, like for example the working conditions or the infrastructure, they were occupied in consolidating more power and money for themselves while the people starved in the streets and died of hypothermia. And because of that the population is becoming more and more displeased with the royal family and with the nobles, because the nobles and people with rights only make less than 1% of the population of the empire

And as I was reading a book in my fathers office, my father came in with his ministers being him.

"Your majesty, the Londinium Empire sent more soldiers and ships to their pacific colonies like Australia. This could pose a threat to our own colonies in the Indonesian region but could also threaten our influence in the Pacific as a whole." The man I recognize as the Minister of Internal Affairs Dimitri said.

"Hmm. Were they not occupied with the cleanup after their second Boer war in the African continent?" My father said.

"It seems that they are already done with it, Your Majesty." The other man I recognize as the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasily said.

"Ok. Tell our colonial fleet to be on high alert and to our army´s in the region to be ready. I don't want to be caught with my pants down if they decide to launch a surprise attack at our colonies."

"Your wish is our command!" both Dimitri and Vasily said at the same time. And after they said that, the Emperor finally saw that they were not alone as he saw his two years old son Alexei on the sofa reading a book about equations.

"Hello Alexei, I didn't see you there. Everything alright?" My father ask.

"Yes father, I just wanted a quiet place to read my books."

"Good morning my imperial prince." Both men said at the same time.

"You truly like your books don't you my son. Hahaha. That's good, a very good ruler must be knowledgeable so that he can rule our massive empire."

Well that doest seem to be the case for you, father. As you only seem to care about war and not about our own internal problems. I said to myself.

"Son. You heard what we were talking about right?"

"Yes father."

"Then what would you do in my position? I'm asking you this because you are going to be the next Tsar so you must be taught at a very young age."

"Well, for starters. I would put our armed forces on high alert to make sure that they don't catch us off guard. Then we will send spies and saboteurs to gather intelligence on their forces, their plans of attack and their objectives. While the saboteurs prepare to attack the enemy's command structure with assassinations, and disrupt their supplies with attacks on their infrastructure. With their army and navy with no command structure and disoriented we can easily win a war with the Londinium Empire. But that's only counting their territories in Oceania and also only their forces in the Pacific, also not counting their allies and other fronts of combat that would appear, for example, in the Indian subcontinent. But this would give us enough time to send troops to capture the governors of Australia and use them as hostages to force the Londinium Empire to surrender and to achieve our objectives."

The Ministers had their mouths opened in admiration on how the future Tsar could easily read the entirety of the situation while not moving his eyes from the book he was currently reading, like what he just said was just the obvious. It was from the military point of view but they weren't expecting the young imperial prince to know it all like he was reading it from a children's book.

The Emperor just looked at his son with a big smile on his face.

"Very impressive, my son."

"Thank you father."

"Ho… I almost forgot, sorry father but I have to go. The sisters invited me to have a picnic with them." I said as I ran to my father and opened my arms so he would give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

As he picked me up he said "It's fine. After all, I still have some matters to discuss with my ministers." He then kissed me on the cheek and patted me on my head before putting me on the ground.

"Bye bye father." I said while living in the room.

[Inside the Emperor's room]

"The prince truly is amazing. He was able to analyze and conduct the same plan and strategy as the military did in just a few seconds, while it took us two days." The Minister of Foreign Affairs Dimitri said

"So it seems.Heh" The Minister of Internal Affairs said with a chuckle.

The Emperor Just stood there in his seat with a big proud smile on his face. And said.

"Something tells me that my son is going to take our nation to a new golden age that will forever be remembered for generations to come."
