Chapter 15 - Reflections Above the Mirror

Rizal and Professor Indri continued to explore the fourth dimension, following the increasingly complex flow of the 'cosmic symphony'. The deeper they delved, the clearer it became that this dimension was not a static empty space, but a sea of information and energy in constant flux, reflecting everything that exists, and perhaps, everything that could exist.

At one point, amidst the swirling lights and rotating geometries, they encountered an energy formation unlike anything they had seen before. No longer lines or nodes, but a vast flat surface shimmering like a giant mirror in the midst of emptiness. The surface reflected the fourth-dimensional light in impossible ways, creating a mesmerizing yet daunting play of colors and shapes.

"What is this, Professor?" asked Rizal, awe mixed with wonder in his voice.

Professor Indri furrowed his brow, studying the 'mirror' intently.

"I have never seen anything like this before," he replied, his tone filled with astonishment. "Its surface... it seems to separate two parts of this dimension, yet also connect them simultaneously."

Curiosity overcame hesitation. Rizal stepped closer to the 'mirror', with Professor Indri cautiously following. The closer they got, the clearer the reflections on its surface became.

However, these reflections were not of themselves but images that were familiar yet strange. Rizal saw his laboratory, but with more advanced equipment, technology he had never seen before. He saw Professor Indri, younger and full of vigor, presenting a theory to a group of enthusiastic scientists.

"That... is us?" whispered Rizal, confusion beginning to grip his mind. "But... how is this possible?"

Professor Indri fell silent, his mind racing for an explanation.

"Could it be..." he murmured, more to himself. "Could this 'mirror' be showing us... possibilities?"

"Possibilities?" repeated Rizal, still not understanding.

"Remember the many-worlds theory?" asked Professor Indri, his eyes gleaming with newfound understanding. "The theory that suggests every decision we make, every possibility that exists, creates a branching timeline, a different universe?"

Rizal swallowed hard. He had read about that theory, about the possibility of parallel worlds where different versions of themselves lived with different choices.

"Are you saying... this 'mirror' is showing us... parallel worlds?"

Professor Indri stared at the 'mirror' with a sharp gaze.

"It's possible, Rizal," he answered. "Or perhaps... more than that."
