Chapter 21 - Traces in the Data

The following weeks were filled with exhausting yet exhilarating data analysis. Rizal and Professor Indri worked tirelessly in their laboratory, processing every piece of information they had gathered while trapped in the fourth dimension.

They focused on the data recordings from Prototype 01, trying to uncover hidden patterns explaining how the machine opened a doorway to another dimension. They also scrutinized the video footage from the drone, hoping to find visual clues about the structure of the fourth dimension.

"Something's not right," Rizal said one day, frustration evident in his voice. He had spent hours analyzing the energy data from Prototype 01 but found no consistent patterns.

"What do you mean?" asked Professor Indri, who was busy analyzing the drone footage.

"This energy data... there should be a significant spike when the portal opens, but the data is too erratic. It's like..." Rizal paused, searching for the right words. "It's like something is hiding it."

Professor Indri frowned, putting down the tablet displaying the video footage. He joined Rizal in front of the monitor displaying the energy data.

"Hiding it?" murmured Professor Indri. "But how? And who?"

Those questions hung in the air, sending chills down their spines. Could there be another entity involved in their journey to the fourth dimension? Something that didn't want them to uncover the secrets of another realm?

"We need to approach this from a different angle," Professor Indri finally said. "If 'something' can manipulate energy at this level, it might have left traces in other forms."

"Traces like what?" asked Rizal.

"Information," replied Professor Indri, his eyes gleaming. "The fourth dimension is a network of information. If 'something' interacted with our world through that dimension, it might have left a message, a sign."

With renewed enthusiasm, they shifted their research focus. No longer looking for clear energy patterns, they started searching for anomalies, oddities, or anything out of place. They analyzed the video footage frame by frame, looking for unusual images, hidden messages, or even a visual pattern representing the language of the fourth dimension.

The search was long and arduous, but they did not give up. They knew something was hidden in the data, a message from another dimension waiting to be uncovered.
