Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - AFTERMATH (3)

After registering the General the day was pretty much smooth sailing - for me at least.

"What do you mean we dont have the funds for a player database? We dont need funds! We have the equipment here already!" I hear Connor screaming in the office nextdoor.

Shit, someones in trouble, I think to myself as I begin my next test.

"Open A1!" I say.

The gate opens before me, and I step in.

"Build menu!" I say as the interface appears before me. I select and click 'Direct in Front' for the position.

"Great, okay okay..." I trail off before selecting and building it from the collector to the gate

I select yes, Now we should get some more players it seems. Nice!

I lastly select and build it next to the collector.

I select yes and a timer appears, Seems like its processing the mana into something...

I select yes and a translucent green crystal appears at my feet.

Hm... maybe I can make something out of it?

I grab the crystal before exiting the gate.

"God! Why is everyone so... yaknow what? Nevermind! Ill make it myself!" I hear Connor shouting in the office nextdoor again.

This time I decide to check on him, "Hey man, you uh... you okay?"

"No, not at all. These people think that an organization system should be 'Oh we just put it where we have space' type shit. I've had enough," He explains, pacing back and forth.

"Okay, well if you need help just let me know... by the way, check this out," I hold up the crystal.

Connor's eyes narrow as he inspects it, "What is it?" He asks.

"Its a mana crystal," I explain putting it in my pocket before continuing, "I think I could probably make something with it. Also, you're going to get some registrants soon."

"Oh, what? How many?" He asks

"Unsure, I have apparently activated the 'Natural Awakening Process', I guess as mana leaks out the gate, random people will awaken?" I explain.

"Oh great! So I guess that database will be more important than ever," Connor sighs, "Whatever, anything else I need to know?"

"No… good luck!" I say as I quickly make my exit lest I face the wrath of an exhausted Connor.
