FELIX POV
I would never be able to say I had a better day throughout my life without her. Infact I never had a normal day. I had days that has been stressful, angry, sad, annoyed, frustrated, depressed and much more to the list. All of those days disappeared in a snap when I hugged her.
It's the end. For all the loneliness I have been feeling in my mind, all the sorrow that has been dumped into my body, all the anger of living with just memories of her, all the frustration when people said that I was mad, all the pain in all the corners of my heart.
The emotions that crumbled me down into the deepest pits of hell came to an end. This is the end for my salvation. I did not believe when some poet said hugging someone close to your heart rejuvenates the dead soul inside us. It heals our wretched heart. All the years I spent in the memories of her tormenting myself from the inside, are coming to an end.
Mark's voice pulling me back from my thoughts "Are you alright sir? You seem to be zoned out for quite long".
"No mark I am not alright. There's this feeling inside my chest that is burning my heart. It feels like my body is on fire. My bloods feels like lava flowing through my veins like a stream of water falling down the edge of a cliff".
"Maybe that's because of the hug sir?"
"Do you know what's the hardest thing in this universe? Not being able to hold the love of your life after so many freaking years of longing. Suppressing the desire to just hold her hand until the end. I have been saving up my love since the moment she was gone. But now, she doesn't remember me and the urge to hold her tight is increasing by each passing second"
" She will come back to you sir. I don't know why I am telling this but the my intuition is telling me that she is going to be with you. It's not the time or the destiny that is getting you closer. It's your starvation. The longing you are feeling, the love you have for her, the desire and what not. Everything you feel for the her. Is going to bring her to you sir. But because careful sir. You have been waiting for your whole damn life for the perfect moment. Like the ocean waiting in patience suppressing the desire of the earth. But when it loses its patience, it would destroy everything that comes in her way. Including herself".
I would be damned if I didn't say his words stuck through my brain like thunderbolt. The emotions I have been stacking up since her death are finally giving in making me lose my mind. Just one hug with her is making me go insane. My heartbeat rising, temperature dropped, knees going weak and most importantly, my body feels like someone grabbed me by my neck and shoved off the cliff into a river of Life. I can feel the tingles inside my stomach. I remember her scent in every single cell of my lungs.
This feeling feels like I have been wanting this for my whole existence. To feel loved. To feel the electric impulses inside my heart. Her fragrance rushing into my veins spreading through my whole body.
I close eyes reminiscing the past times. Her beautiful smile sparkling like the sunshine on a lazy ocean waves. Glittering through the sky and teasing the air around her with her scent. The soft fabric of her dress dancing in the wind with every step she takes. Eyes shimmering with sparkling shades of gold.
I open my eyes and my eyes darted towards Mark standing infront of me with a strange look in his eyes. His lips curve up to form a smile and said " You are smiling sir".
My smile get bigger at the thought of my emotions coming back to me little by little. Yeah that's because of her. She is finally back and that's enough for me. Even if she runs to hell I will bring her memories back.
I promise to myself and look at Mark. My eyes holding some strange danger in them that he couldn't decipher what I am thinking. "I will find a way to be with her. This time, I won't my fate play with us. I am coming to you. And I will take us back to the way we used to be in the olden times. And I will slaughter anyone that comes in our way" My usual emarald eyes getting darker by the end of the sentence.
Mark gulped down a lump down his throat with a slight fear in his eyes. It was as if I was talking about him. I was staring at him unknowingly for a long time that he thought I was threatening him. I snap out of my trance and quickly assured him.
"You need to visit the office sir. There are some documents that needs your signature" mark stated calmly.
" I couldn't visit the company any time soon Mark. Take the charge and manage everything".
" But sir...you are the CEO of A&A. You are one who should be signing them not me"
" Oh please mark. I have least interest in the company. You are the Chief Operating Officer. You have the same priority as me in the company. Your signature is valid too"
" N- no sir. I can't misuse my position. You should be the one signing them. I know you trust me but not in this sir. This is a confidential matter. I can't possibly -"
" Mark!! I trust you. You are like my brother. I don't trust anyone else more than you and that's the end of this convo. You will sign them while take care of things that I should"
I am sure that I left him speechless. He was taken aback. He took a good 10 seconds to respond. He nodded in agreement and turned to leave. Just before I turn back towards the couch, he said " Sir....I wish you find the love you have been searching for. All the best sir"
".....You make it sound like I am leaving the company. Like this is a goodbye. It's not ..right?"
" It's not sir. I will be sticking with you as your assistant for the rest of my life. I devote to give you my all sir. After all ..I've seen you smile for the first time since I met you sir. It was beautiful. Just like a flower blooms after a long storm".
And ...he just left like he didn't just talk like he confessed his feelings to me.
" Was that a confession??"
I talk to myself in confusion as I am left alone with him leaving in his car to the company.
At 8.30 PM that day.
AUTHOR POV
Felix sat before the TV on the couch with his legs crossed over the other. His hands playing with the TV remote lazily. The host on the talking show was talking non-stop. But his thoughts are somewhere else. His eyes fixed on a certain someone's picture all the time.
The ring of his mobile rang throughout the hall notifying the call. He shifted his eyes from the laptop screen with Lyra's picture on it towards his phone placed on the centre table.
'Ms.Dawsey'
The name on the caller ID read. He instantly got up and grabbed his phone knowing who it is.
" Yes Ms.Dawsey"
" Sir, mam is going somewhere tomorrow. I believe she's going to do something crazy and won't be reporting to work tomorrow. She said she will come day after tomorrow to the library and will be back after some days. I will find where she is going. But I am not sure I will know anything if it is a secret. I will inform you about that once I find out sir. Eline reporting sir"
She cut the call after she said all that in a breath. He couldn't believe he got hung up even before he said anything. He blinked in confusion.
' Why are all the people surrounding me are so crazy? I haven't yet processed what Mark said. Was that a confession or not?, and now this?' he sighed shaking his head and placing his mobile back on the table.
Meanwhile, Eline texted Lyra to know where she is going. She wasn't sure if Lyra says anything about that.
"Hi mam!!." She is a bit tensed thinking that Lyra would scold her for butting in their life matters.
"Hi" She almost jumped in air when Lyra replied her.
"What are you doing mam?"
"Dinner"
" Why?"
The one word replies made her feel like she is texting a guy who has no interest in her. She continued texting her boss sighing.
"Nothing. I just thought of you. So I texted you to know what you're doing"
Eline waited patiently for Lyra's response. And when she saw that the other user is typing, she held her breath to see what's coming.
"Ok"...
"Ok?? Nothing more? What th- ...aarghhh" Eline grunted out of frustration and tried one more time.
"Umm...mam?"
"What?"
Eline replied "Mmm..nothing just curious about where you're going tomorrow" she typed and sent the message. She waited for most a minute and when the message showed that it was read by the reciever, She hit her forehead in embarassment when Lyra didn't reply her even after seeing the message.
'Why the fuck did you do it Eline!!you idiot!! Do you think she would tell you?? Why would she tell you about that!!!??? Stop embarassing yourself stupid!!' she thought in her head and when she recieved a reply after five minutes, she rubbed her eyes to see if it's real.
"Going to an amusement park"
It felt like the sky fell to the ground to her. The great Lyra who is so cold to everyone by not replying them or telling them her life matters, said that she going to an amusement park. 'This is crazy. This is crazy. What the fuck is happening?? Am I dreaming??!!' placing her phone on the king sized bed in her bedroom, getting up, She hit her cheek with maximum force to know whether she is dreaming. Her eyes getting wide with the realisation that what deemed to be impossible....is happening.
"Aahhh..that hurts!! So this is real!! WHAT!!!!" Her screams can heard throughout the hall way of her house. Both the maids that came to do today's chores stopped what they were doing and looked at each other terrified. Eline looked at the phone in horror and grabbed it to confirm she really replied to her text with an ACTUAL ANSWER! Not any cursing, not any suggestions, not any yelling. But the answer.
One of the maid came to her room to make sure their employee's daughter is fine. She opened the door twisting the door knob gently as she didn't get any answer when she knocked the door. She saw her boss's daughter standing near the bed with her mobile infront of her like she just saw a ghost.
"Mam..Is something wrong?"
"Huh??....umm....no. No everything's good. Please don't mind me. Go on with your works. I was just in disbelief. That's it. I'm sorry" she quickly covered up and sent the maid out of her room. Locking the door silently, hoping she would not tell her father that something is wrong, she tip toed towards her bed and picked up the phone calling her boss.
"Sir!! She is going to the amusement park tomorrow. I texted her and she replied that. I can't quite believe that happened but ...yeah she said she's going there"
"Thankyou Ms.Dawsey. If possible, take your team leader with you to follow her there. I need you people to keep an eye on her"
" Ok sir"
Eline left out a breath she has been holding till now. She mentally made a note that she shouldn't get caught tomorrow at the park. Especially with that dumbass of a leader.
NEXT DAY
AT 7.45 AM
Leo woke up earlier than usual and woke his sister up from her sleep. He couldn't contain his excitement. Lyra packed sandwiches for them to eat in the afternoon along with some cool drinks. They both wore comfortable outfits for the day.
Leo slipped into his cream colour cargo pants paired with white polo t-shirt with a blue shirt on top of it. He looked cute and handsome with his teenager facial features and casual outfit. Absolutely breath taking.
Meanwhile, Lyra adorned herself with a coffee colour trouser and navy blue t-shirt. She carried her sling bag to complete her look. Looking like perfectly gorgeous and beautiful sibling duo, they finished their morning coffee getting ready for the thrilling and electrifying day.
They both left the house and got seated up in the car. Lyra started the engine driving out of the drive way and into the busy roads that held thousands of journeys for the day.
They drove towards the Central City of Norlona, with Leo screaming the lyrics of the hip-hop song that is blasting through the bluetooth and Lyra turning the steering swiftly through the crowded roads of Mosvil.
They enjoyed the drive to the amusement park unaware of the events that are going to happen today because of certain someone.
