She then sigh her face show a hint of annoyance about her father ordered.
"Then I wish to have a walk to the garden..."
Well... This is the first time to see the princess of the Kingdom of Halo, and this also my first time to be a knight for her i don't know how did her father choose me but that's fine...
I speak and look at her with my blank face
"Yes"
Although i speak in a blunt tone and may a disrespect to the highest class of a kingdom but she don't pay attention to my words
We then have a walk through the palace... Walking the palace of the castle is huge and a bit ancient this castle i heard that was built 100 years a ago and it still keep it style...
As we walk she looking at the floor she seem to be deep in thought but somehow i find she a bit shy? Or just my head thinking about it
"Say Light you are really weird. I wonder why my father hired you as my knight....?" She ask finding it weird for a guy like me to be her knight
Oh? The princess also know my name... that an horner thought but I also find it weird actually her father hired me to be her knight though I don't know much reason but I will just answer it randomly
I speak bluntly "Maybe because my personality... Emotionless and a blank face when talking..."
The Princess find it amusing and speak back to me a bit mischievous "Maybe that's the reason~ . And I will nickname you as "Weird Knight"
Oh? She also nicknamed interesting... But i still don't know her name i find it hard to speak to her although i can use some word like "Majesty" or "Highness" but i think it weird to be honest I not like and ordinary knight who speak that...
As i was thinking she already take a seat on a bench in the castle's garden she then look at me
"Well? don't stand there, sit next to me weirdo"
I haven't think that the Princess of the Kingdom of Halo offer me sit next to her I think she would disgust when some or something near her through some rumors in the kingdom then I take a sit next to her
"So what's your-..." As I about to ask her name she then speak first.
"It's a good thing that the sun it's going down soon. I hate summer because it's hot and annoying"
Right... This time is summer specifically it is July 13th and it's quite hot in the Kingdom before I went to the Palace I saw that rarely many people walk out of their house because the weather is very hot I think it's about 38 or 39°C so the Princess find it annoying don't surprise me
Speaking of hot this armor i am wearing is quite heavy and it make of iron so it make it hotter due to the sun that shine to it and the temperature but luckily the sun is setting so i feel much better now
As I was thinking the Princess then yawn loudly maybe she felt kinda sleepy after her duty being a princess she then speak
"I am silently bored, So weirdo tell me something so i can be less bored?"
Hm... The Princess is asking me to tell her something but i don't find any topic to say actually... Most the time i can't even find a topic to interact with someone so i only wait for that person to find a topic that suit me and tell them...
"I'm not much a speaker..." I speak
The Princess then get annoyed by this as she speak "Tch- you are really you know that right?" She then stopped a moment before she said again "Well you don't have to speak, I can ask a simple questions and you can give me an yes or no answer. Understand weirdo?"
"Sure... What will you ask"
"So here is my question. Do you have any friends?" The Princess look at him as she ask him the questions she still feel annoyed that he is so boring and quiet
"No..." I speak bluntly
This question always make me feel uneasy sometimes because it ask about "friends" but i don't have since 2 years due to my quiet and emotionless personality
The princess seem has to be expected this question... Because I am so boring to have any friends she then said again
"I guess i'm not surprise that you don't have any friends considering how boring you are"
She stopped a bit and said again
"But i wonder why? Did people make fun of you?"
Her questions seem surprise me a bit because there are no one that want to ask me about it her next questions "Did people make fun of you" i think there was but i don't remember in the past 2 years everyone isolated me but none of them dare to make fun i think it is because of my face? Or not...
I speak calmly to her "Not at all..." Answer her second questions first
The Princess expected question as she answered him "Then why don't you have any friends? It's just weird to not have an single friends" she stopped a bit before ask him again she is a bit curious about him
"Did your parents tell you to not make friends or something? Or they don't want you to have friends"
"I don't have parents..." I said a bit straight forward after her last sentences
"Oh..." She stopped a feel surprise about his answers she then ask him again this time a bit softer
"Sorry for your loss. So are you an orphan? Who was taking care of you then?" Her voice is soft she feel bad for saying mean things to him earlier
"By myself..."
The Princess not surprise but she had expected this answer
"Well that's explain a lot of things. I'm surprise that you turned out not to be a jerk or a jerk face and instead you are just an boring weirdo..."
She said while looking ahead but then look back at me and ask again.
"So you have been living alone for sometimes now... Is there any one you consider a friend? Or you just alone for most your time?
This question make my eyes widen a bit this is the first time someone ask me about who I consider as a friend...
"Well there is..."
The Princess was surprised by this that this weirdo knight had a friend somehow
"Who it is" she asked blankly but there is a hint of excitement.
"But he died..."
The Princess surprised me again by my statement
"So you are completely alone huh...? So... Tell me about your friend I want to know this person whom you consider as a friend"
I silent a bit not wanting to reveal my death friend identity but something wants me to reveal it as the Princess looking at me curiously so i sign as i speak
"He is a mage... Who i found in the forest and he is fighting some orcs but he get ambush from behind... So i jump out and help him"
"Ohhh he is a mage, and he was fighting orcs but went badly i think he is very weak i think"
She stopped a bit before speak again "let me guess he die in battle or something?..."
After she ask i shake my head confirm that's not i then answer her question
"After i saved him from the orcs, me and him became friends and we started doing quests together and I started to consider him as my friend..." I speak bluntly a hint of joy when i said consider as a friend
But before the princess asks again i continue saying again
"But ... During one of our quest in dungeon while i looting i then point out that there is a chest near there, he hesitate a bit and then walk to the chest and open it..." I speak calmly
"And what?"
"He then got ambush by the monster... I tried to save him but it's too late and he die brutally..." I speak calmly at the word "brutally"
The Princess then surprised by how sudden his story were she can't believe that his friend die in front of him she then speak
"So he die when opening a chest huh...? And how did you react when you see him die in front of you? Were you sad?" She ask curiously
"Blank and emotionless as usual..." I speak bluntly to her
The Princess was surprised that his answer was so blunt and he reacted blank and emotionless toward who he died which consider as a friend
"Wow... You really good at hiding your emotions i must admit" she stopped a bit
"Most people would have been devastated upon finding out their friend was dead but how many years has it been since he dead?"
After she ask i look at the birds is flying on the sky then look back down the ground... As i answer
"2 years ago..."
"2 years..." The Princess remember something in that year but she shake her head and asked him again
"So in other word you didn't cry, surprise huh...? What kind of friend are you? I mean you didn't shed a tear for him!?"
I look at her with my blank face as i speak
"It because my fault... I am the one point out that chest if it weren't me he wouldn't die now... I don't deserve to cry..."
The Princess then gets furious a bit "You need to stop blaming yourself for your death... I know it's hard for you to stop blaming yourself but you need to move on for your friend..."
Her words surprised me a little... Because i know the princess from other people say that she is a bratty and spoiled not understanding what people say but her word make me some sort of thankful? I don't know what it's feel yet...
As me and the Princess stay silent some minutes the sky start to get darker and the Princess then stand up from the bench
"It's going to be dark soon. We should head back the palace" She said as she walk back towards the palace first
I then stand up from the benches that me and the princess sit on earlier i then look up at the dark sky and wonder about the Princess personality it is true as everyone said she seem responsible in my view...
I then walk next to her and i remember about my intention earlier is ask about the Princess name i then walk close to her and ask
"What's your name thought...?"
She then look up at me annoyed a bit but when i stopped she then turn back to face me as she speak as her hair floating from the wind of the night make a beautiful scene
"My name is Luna the First daughter and the Princess of the Kingdom of Halo"
