After what happen yesterday, It's now my first day of being her guard officially I begin my duty as I make my way to her room I see other guards walking in the hallway and the maid is cleaning to prepare The King and The Queen breakfast make the surrounding noisy as I walk I start wondering is Luna have her own chef to cook breakfast for her? Or she will cook by herself oh wait what I am thinking she definitely has her own chef to cook for her because she is the princess after all
As I walk my thoughts start to become a mess and i feel something that's just bump into my heavy armour causing a clatter and it makes me snap out of my thoughts and look down it's Luna the Princess I just met yesterday she is rubbing her head after bump into my armour
"Look where you are going" she is still rubbing her head looking down at the floor not notice me yet
Before I was able to say something she then looked up and saw my usual stoic face she then stayed silent make the whole situation more awkwardly
I then say "Well... That was a bad impression on the first day..."
Luna then starts getting annoyed by my stalemate "Well you make a very terrible impression you know that?!" She then stood up by herself
"Uhh... Actually I have a question..."
"What?" She said while crossing her arms
"What exactly do I have to do after being your personal knight...?"
Luna now looks more annoying than before by my statement she looks like she wants to blame me for the next 1 hour or something horrible...
"Um... Don't mind that statement... I think I know what to do actually..."
Thank god that she's less annoyed now I have a feeling that she may explode in anger if I didn't say that's stalemate. But actually that line was just to prevent her from blaming me after all I still don't know what to do as a personal knight...
"So tell me one thing about what "personal knight" does for their princess?" She does not believe that I know what to do as her knight
"Etou... Protecting their Princess?" I said in calm manners
"Yes that's exactly what a knight does and you have to follow me all the time and obey all my orders as I said" She said her tone is softer after I answered her answer correctly
"All the time huh...?"
"Yes all the time but don't worry you will get a rest when I ordered you to do so"
Her tone seems to be tricking me as if she won't let me rest and I have to be her side during the day and knight
"Fair enough..."
Luna then smirks "Okay so follow me now I will have breakfast in the dinning room with my parents and my other sister!" After she said that she then walked away signaling for me to follow her
I didn't have time to process what she said but she walked away quickly I then started walking toward her quickly to catch up with her
As I walk my armor starts to clatter every step I walk I was wondering do knights really have to wear this heavy armour every day? I was fascinated by the armour especially the sturdy armour made of steel but now... I feel annoyed to wear this kind of amour and I wish not to wear it...
During our walk every maid starts whispering to each other about my present with the princess some words catch my ears such as "Who is that knight", "Does the king order him to be her knight?", "An knight!? Standing near the princess without any fear!?"
The words "Without any fear" catch my ears and I start to have a feeling that the princess is walking next to me is that scary? Well I used to hear rumours about her being dominant and a horrible princess but after I knew her yesterday she was not that bad She was actually kind and cared about other people feeling
As I wonder we finally reach the large wooden door that leads to the dinning room
I stand with her for a whole minute but as I turn to face her she smiles but in a threatening way
"You have one thing to do now my knight~" her voice is threatening me and I want to kill me here right now
After her speak I know what to do I have to pull the door for the princess to let her in
I then sign not scared by her voice I then pull the large wooden door with one hand... But it's kinda heavy so I put my other hand to pull the door open completely
She then walked in after I opened the door I then couldn't help but notice the room was very big and A royal dining room exudes opulence and grandeur, reflecting the status of the Shimamoto family
The first things catch my eyes is the large and long wooden table in the middle of the room by my view the table is made from some kind of rich wood the table and a white fabric cover the surface of the table beside the table the chairs are upholstered in luxurious fabric that's seem like silk? with yellow and red are the main colors for the fabric
The table is still empty and looks like The King and The Queen haven't come yet and the maid hasn't prepared breakfast yet
"Well the maids are lazy these days I don't know why that's happened?" She sign seems annoyed by the maid
"Hm...? You don't have a personal chef?" I seem curious about her statement
"Well I don't have one and I don't know why!"
Well after I heard some whispering from the maid earlier I think no one dared to cook for her because her "dominate" and "spoiled" or she may have bad taste so the King doesn't get her own chef
"How about you prepare breakfast for me...?"
The question makes me snap out from my thoughts is she ordering me?
"Huh...? What did you say?"
"I said-"
Before she could ask again the door behind us then widely opened by others guards and The King and The Queen walk in their royal uniform The Queen wear a long cyan dress that's long to her legs she has brown hair with blue eyes and she also wears a golden crown with gem on it as I noticed there is a diamond in the middle of the crown
As for The King he wear a military outfits and the main colour are red and black and it's made from various fabric like silk and wool the king hair is black with black eyes and he also wear a crown that crown nothing different to The Queen crown but the different is the gem on The King crown is emerald
The King asks "Oh...? Aren't you the personal knight that I ordered you to be my daughter's knight?" His voice is stern as he speaks
"Yes I am" I speak calmly not showing any fear toward The King
"And It's nice to meet you... Eh..."
"King!"
Actually I don't know the King's name yet but I do know his last name is Shimamoto but I don't know his first name
The King signs "It's Shou, Shou Shimamoto"
"Ah so Shou..."
"You're kinda rude for a knight you know that?" The Queen says her tone is soft and firm but there is a hint of annoyedness in that voice "You didn't greet us you know that?"
"Ah... My apologies... Greeting uhm... What's your name again?"
The King Shou sign furiously really annoyed my question Luna nudged my shoulder and said quietly "My dad is Shou Shimamoto and my mom's name is Mashumi Shimamoto, you idiot..."
I hesitate a bit after she nudges my shoulder and says quietly to me about their name I then look at The Queen and The King a moment before speaking again
"Etou... Greetings The King Shou and The Queen Mashumi is my pleasure to have the chance to meet you..." I speak calmly
The King seemed less furious and The Queen smiled at my answer "Well it is great to meet you too"
I don't react much by her statement but before I was about to introduce my name the maids then walk in with various foods
"Looks like our breakfast already... Let's take a seat shall we...?" The King speak
After the maids put down the food on the long and large table The Queen and The King taking the seat while The Princess Luna walk to her seat
I then noticed that threatening look and I pulled the chair for her to sit in her face softed again before they were about to eat Luna's younger sister walk in the room with half sleep state
"Sorry mom and dad I woke up pretty late" she giggled softly
The Queen spoke softly to her daughter "It's okay, come and take a seat dear!" On the other hand The King doesn't pay much attention as he starts eating
As Luna's sister takes a seat I then look at Luna eating and ask her "Who is that?"
Luna takes a sip of tea and says "She is my younger sister Lumin she is quite troublesome although she is a princess" she takes another sip of tea
"And she is very lazy and always in her room sleeping all day whenever there's a meeting or breakfast she will come out to join in"
"Oh okay I understand..."
"And why do you ask?"
"Just a bit curious nothing more"
She doesn't say anything and continues eating with her family the atmosphere is peaceful no one is talking and there is just eating sound all over the room
While everyone eating Lumin then looks at me with a curious eyes "Big sister who is that person standing next to you"
"He's just my knight nothing more" She said calmly doesn't get bothered by her little sister question
"Aww~ you got someone to take care of your needs all the time~ and protect you" she giggled softly and ate
The Queen said "Stop teasing your big sister Lumin"
"Heh~ I'm sorry"
I can't help but notice that's Luna didn't answered back immediately I was thought she would say something like "He is very useless" or "He is troublesome than you Lumin" but she didn't answer that but stay silent?
After breakfast she then steps out of the table and walks out of the dining room I continue to walk beside her, she then walks back to her room?
"Uh... Where are you going?
"Head back to my room"
"Why?"
"I got something to do so excuse me..."
She then walk in her room and closed the door and I hear locking noise is she locked herself up? And why she do that though... But I don't mind and start walking away her door's room and again... I bump into someone and my armour clatter again as I look down It's a maid she seem hurry
She look at me and get back up she then ask "Who are you? I think I don't see you here before..?" She ask with curiously
"Well I am Light... Luna Personal Knight..."
She surprised "Heh!? You are The Princess personal knight why no one informed me that" she pouted quietly disappointed
"Say you really bold to be her knight Light..."
"Huh...? What do you mean by that...?"
"Well I think you have heard rumours about how horrible The Princess is when It's comes to personal knight?"
"Huh...? I haven't heard of that..." I ask emotionless and curiously about the sentence "How horrible The Princess is when It's comes to personal knight?"
"Well let's me tell you, you see back at my first day being her maid when the princess is around 7-8 years old"
"She very cheerful and don't mind anything in the world and The King and The Queen very happy about their first daughter"
"Oh so you telling me that's-" before I could say anything further she press her finger against my lips prevent me from saying anything
"Let's me finish the story and I will let you ask okay~" her voice is soft but threating like Luna, I nods silently and let her continue
"So where was it... Right! But eventually... She got kidnapped while playing outside the castle The King were very furious and ordered all the guards to find her"
"After a long hours searching they eventually find the kidnapper house is doing "pervert things" to her you know what I'm saying"
"After the guard arrest the kidnapper the guard notice Luna in a horrible state... Got wounds all over her body and red mark of the whip"
She take a breath before speaking again "Luna was unconscious after she saw the guards and they bring her back to the castle The King say this unacceptable and want to execute the kidnapper immediately while the Queen pass out when they see their daughter in that's state"
"So..." I was about to speak she then about to punch me in the face
"Okay go on"
"And after that the kidnapper got executed in public and The Princess start become afraid of outside world"
"But you know The King ordered a person to be her personal knight and It's was the first one to become her knight"
Ah... So basically Luna was a happy and cheerful girl but in one day she got kidnapped and suffer a lots by that's dirty hands
I wonder how the kidnapper got excecute maybe beheaded? Or got poisonous by the guard... I don't know but the execution may very painful and horrified by The King ordered
When I was wondering more the maid then take a deep breath before speak again "The Princess at first was so scared after that incident and don't want any interaction with her newly personal knight, but the knight doesn't give up hope and tries to befriend her The Princess was frightened but she still gives some trust toward him but as the days by..."
"He makes a lot of interest in her body and tries to find a way to touch it from her cheek, stomach, and her thighs in every conversation she notices but doesn't mind much"
"He is a pervert again right?" I said calmly
"Hey I haven't gotten to that point you ruined it again" she pouted and upset little after I interrupted the story again
"Oh... Uhm sorry my bad go on please I'm curious"
"Fine but you better not interrupt again or I'm gonna stop telling!"
I nod silently I don't know why but I show some interest after so long by this story
"Okay so he is another pervert and the situation got worse in one day he lead her to some where secret in the castle and you know... Doing that kind of stuff again toward her"
"But before he could do anything The Princess successfully yell for help and eventually the guards show up and bring him to the King" she take a deep breath but she seem forget what in the story
"Ehh sorry that's all I know but I think he got execute privately or get in jail"
"But after that's incident she don't want any personal knight every time The King telling her that's she will get very upset to the point she lock herself in the room for days"
"And she start become dominate and spoiled girl not being scared anymore but she still don't want another knight to be with her"
So that's why the people rummors about The Princess horrible and dominate princess... And that's personality I saw durning this day, that's personality send a chill down to me
"But when she turns 16 The King then ordered someone in the Kingdom to become her Personal Knight but everyone seem don't want to because the rumors about her being a horrible and dominate princess and people start afraid of her don't want to be knight" She sign a bit and sad about The Princess previous state
"But you" she point a finger toward me as she said
"You are the one accept that's and become her knight now!"
"Is that's all now" I said while looking at her with my blank eyes
"Yes it is! You can speak now"
"Well... It's seem you don't know the reason why the King choose me huh...?"
"I don't but I would like to hear!" She speak with a cheeky smile like a child wanting a gift
"Sorry I don't know either... I just accept it randomly... And I didn't expected that the King would want me to be her knight..."
"So you don't know either huh...?" She put her hand on her chin thinking something
"I think because your blank face heh~ so you got his trust" she said laughing a bit
Well maybe she right... My emotionless and blank face do really gain some trust by everyone but I haven't thought The King would trust me
I stay silent a bit She then speak "Well I have work to do now I think I will see you later" She then extend her hand for me to shake
"I am Umi the oldest maid that's work here um about 20 years old heh" she has a smile on her face"
I then shake her hand "Well I am Light... Luna's personal guard I hope you will help me in the future..."
We shake hand and she then walk away doing her duty as a maid I then look around and notice a clock near there and It's now 10AM is now nearly noon
I think to myself after looking at the clock "I think I will have to go Luna's room to check on her... A bit..."
