Well, I'm going to think of how to get a new phone. I got a part-time job in a cafe to support myself, since I'm on my own now and nobody is helping me.
Some weeks later, I had an exam to take that morning, but I had a fever and didn't know what to do about it. I tried to get out of bed, but I couldn't. Just then, Sarah called and asked if I was ready to take the exam.
"It's our last hope," she said. "After the exam, we'll do some training, and if we pass, we'll be good to go. We'll be going for interviews."
I was happy thinking about all these things, that I was close to my dreams. I forgot that I was still on the phone. "Hey, are you there...?" Sarah asked.
"Yeah, I'm here. I'll be coming, it's just that I'm sick," I replied.
"Oh, so sorry about that. How is Priscoll doing? I'm thinking of coming over today after school," Sarah said.
I hesitated, not wanting to reveal the truth about our fight.
