I asked Priscoll where he had been, and he told me he was with his best man. ''And you left me, huh? Come closer, Priscoll,'' I said, my voice laced with a mix of emotions. He approached me, and I smelled his suit, catching the familiar scent of that perfume on his suit again, it's from wendy.
''Don't be so dramatic, my bride,'' he said, his voice firm but amused. 'Why are you smelling my suit?'' he asked
Our wedding night was nothing short of hell. It was my first time spending the night with a man, now my husband, without my parents. I avoided him that night, still hurt by his earlier words. After a long bath, I emerged from the bathroom to find Priscoll waiting. I felt awkward changing in front of him.
''You took your time in there,' he said, his tone light. ''What were you doing?'' He left the room, allowing me to change.
When he returned, he found me lying on the couch, my legs exposed. He swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on me. I was a deep sleeper, oblivious to his gaze.
''How did you manage to be so sexy, Joanna?'' he whispered, his lips brushing against my nape.
He moved away, pretending to do push-ups on the floor. I sat up, watching him.
''What are you doing, Priscoll?' I asked, but he ignored me. ''You shouldn't do this here,'' I said, but he continued, counting his reps.
''Priscoll, go to the gym room,'' I shouted, and he stood up, rushing towards me. He kissed me deeply, then pulled away. ''You'll sleep on the floor tonight. We won't share the bed.''
"That's okay, I'll take the couch," I said, but he insisted.
''No, Joanna, you'll sleep on the floor." His tone was firm, and I nodded, intimidated.
''No, I'll take the couch."
"Joanna, if I hear a word from you, I'll show you what hell is like.''
I quivered, shaken by his words. I spread the extra sheet on the floor, took a pillow from the bed, and lay down. Priscoll lay on the bed, his sleep fitful due to my snoring.
I woke up the next day to find Priscoll gone, but I was thrilled to see three application forms from different flight attendant schools beside me. I quickly got dressed and went to look for Priscoll, but he was working out in the gym. Not wanting to disturb him, I returned to the room and began browsing through the forms and researching the schools.
Before I knew it, Priscoll walked in and asked.
''So, which school's exam will you be writing tomorrow? Wings Alliance has a cut-off mark of 250 out of 360, Oxford Aviation Academy's is 250-270 out of 400, and Brunel University's is 240-260 out of 400. Which one will you choose?''
I hesitated, feeling overwhelmed. ''Priscoll, I don't know if I can make it. Can I just apply to all three schools and see which one I pass?'' I asked.
Priscoll raised an eyebrow, smirking.
''I thought you'd be more intelligent, like your father. He's doing an amazing job with the company. You should start reading more, Joanna.''
I felt a surge of determination.
"I may not be as intelligent, but I'll work hard to pass this exam," I said firmly. Priscoll nodded and handed me the forms.
"Fill them out, then"
I filled out the forms, making sure to double-check my answers. Priscoll watched me with a critical eye, but I ignored him and focused on the task at hand.
Once I finished, Priscoll took the forms from me and reviewed them.
"Not bad," he said. "But you need to work on your handwriting. It's illegible."
I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for the feedback, Priscoll."
He smirked.
"Anytime, Joanna. Now, let's get down to business. We need to create a study plan for you. Your first exam is tomorrow, and I expect you to pass all three."
I nodded, feeling a mix of determination and nerves. I knew I had a lot of work ahead of me, but I was ready to put in the effort.
Priscoll handed me a stack of study materials and a schedule.
"Follow this plan, and you'll be fine. And don't even think about failing."
I took a deep breath and began to study, pouring over the materials and trying to absorb as much information as possible. Priscoll watched me for a while, then left me to my studies.
The hours passed quickly, and before I knew it, the sun was setting. I took a short break to eat dinner, then dove back into my studies.
As the night wore on, I began to feel more confident. I was going to pass these exams, no matter what.
But just as I was about to call it a night, Priscoll walked in with a surprise. "Joanna, The exam will be by 9:00 tomorrow. Are you ready?"
My heart skipped a beat. exam? Tomorrow morning? I was shoch as if he didn't tell me before. I nodded, trying to hide my nerves.
"I'm ready, Priscoll''
I couldn't wake up on time because I didn't sleep early last night. Priscoll poured cold water from a bottle on me while I was lying on the floor, and I jumped up with a start.
"Priscoll!!!" I exclaimed, shocked and disoriented.
"Joanna, your exam is at 9:00 am, and you just woke up at 7:48! Are you crazy? Go take a bath, now!" Priscoll shouted, his voice firm and urgent.
I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, still trying to process what was happening. I had overslept, and now I was running late for my exam. I quickly scrambled to my feet and headed to the bathroom to take a quick bath, my heart racing with anxiety. i quickly Dress up, Priscoll smiled, seeming to enjoy my discomfort.
"Good, the exam is at 9:00 am. Let's have breakfast and then head out."
We went downstairs to the kitchen, where Priscoll had already prepared a hearty breakfast. We ate in silence, my nerves growing with each passing minute.
As we finished up, Priscoll glanced at his watch.
"Time to go. Let's head out."
We drove to the exam center in silence, my mind racing with thoughts of the exam. What if I failed? What would Priscoll say?
We arrived at the center with plenty of time to spare. Priscoll turned to me and said,
"You've got this, Joanna. Just relax and do your best, Remember, do not fail'' He laughed and
I nodded, taking a deep breath. I could do this.
Priscoll handed me a folder containing my admission papers and wished me luck.
"I'll be waiting for you outside when you're done."
I nodded and headed into the exam room, my heart pounding in my chest.
The exam began promptly at 9:00 am. I took a deep breath and began to answer the questions, my mind racing with memories of our study sessions.
As I worked through the test, I couldn't help but think of Priscoll, waiting for me outside. What would he say when I came out? Would I pass?
