Free was looking out the car window eyes wide open from excitement. They have just arrived to the school area, sitting inside the car still at the parking lot. There were some students sitting around in this green park-like area in front of this huge building with huge outdoor stairs. Young people everywhere. Talking and laughing.
"You really have never been in school?" Milo asks doubting when carefully eyeing Frees excited face. Younger was visibly about to jump from his seat. And still somehow looking very nervous.
When Milo drag him back to reality with his comment, Free turns to look at him, losing his awing look, trying to act more serious. "No. With what identity I would have went to school? I didn't exist in register until now," he clears his throat.
Older guy smiles. "You are so weird character. No wonder Don got so interest of you. You are free to look around as long as you stay with me. But don't show your excitement out. We are here to get our statement. Act natural," he then points out and gets out of the car. Even when it was kind of cute to see other react like this just because of seeing a school environment, they were here for the official reason. As Frees mentor, he should teach proper manners how to deal these situations. Curiosity was good. But controlling his own feelings and putting them aside was a must in the field.
"Yes, sir," Free sighs and follows him. But without a doubt Free couldn't help being tense. His only experience from schools was basically from TV. Every people he knew who were around his own age, he could count with his fingers. And this place was full of them, young people. Making him feel even more nervous.
When they walk from the parking area to this green inner court, Free could really see the size and details of this main building. It was indeed huge. Windows everywhere. Inside the building, the huge hall area opened in front of them. There were sitting areas, cafeteria, stairs to go down and upward. Signs with numbers of classrooms. Damn high ceiling.
"This is a lobby where students meet and socializes," Milo explains when he realizes Free was really looking his arounds with awe. "It's a big school, biggest in the area. Student count is probably around fourteen hundred."
Free turns his look to Milo unbelieving. "Over thousand??"
"It's still small compared to some other schools," man says and keeps walking toward the stairs up. "I will meet the school principal in his room up here. You will wait outside."
"Yes, sir."
"Did you see him?" someone asks behind them in Spanish. Free was about to turn but stops himself. This was not new, if they were talking about him. He has the cursed face people couldn't ignore. Actually, now when he focus more on the people around him rather than the building, Milo and Free as an outsiders were clearly drawing attention. There were some students looking at them. Smiling and waving to Free.
"Damn, are you a magnet?" Milo smiles, looking these young people around them clearly watching and talking about them. One was brave enough to even boldly take a photo of them with her phone. "You would have been the most popular student in what ever school."
"This is my life where ever I go," Free explains quietly. "But these here surely don't hide their starings.."
Forced to be stared like this, Milo grows a little annoyed. Usually they would just walk in and out no-one minding them. They were here to investigate was there any abnormal behaviour among the students after those drug deaths, not drag any unwanted attention toward themselfs. "Stop it. Be like you were not here."
Younger clicks his tongue, noting that joke was stupid as what. "How the hell I do that..?" he whispers back, trying to ignore the stares.
After getting out from the lobby and heading deeper into the school building most of the curious eyes were eventually left behind. The teachers area was actually pretty near the lobby, more less students were near by. There were some clasrooms and a room called auditorium. After a short search they found the principals office. The man himself was waiting them in front of the door. "You must be Mr Raahinen," this older man calls and shakes Milos hand. "I'm the headmaster hear, principal Nicolas Holger. Good to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. I'm glad you could meet us with this short notice. But as we both know it's urgent and we want to find the culprits as soon as possible to avoid more possible victims," Milo talks with proper accent, focusing on his enunciation way more than he usually did. That made it sound like his whole personality just changed, like there was suddenly completely different person standing here. This was how Milo act while working. He too has developed a proper working mode, born from the experience.
"And your hand here?" older man asks and nods toward Free, greeting him politely. Free nods calmly back.
"My assistant will wait outside," Milo turns to look at Free who takes a hint and steps slightly behind, leaning his back against the wall. "Shall we go in?"
"Ah, yes," principal shows the way and they both went inside the room, Milo giving Free this last glance before closing the door behind them.
After they were gone, Free sighs out, looking around. This really was the first time ever he stood inside a school building and it couldn't feel more odd overall. The hallway was dead quiet, but some talking could be heard from inside the rooms, as distand voices. There were long coat racks between the doors, full of clothes. So there were students in. Studying. Learning new together with their friends..
A reality what Free never had a change to take part with. Even when he was about the same age as students inside this building, their worlds couldn't be more different. And because of that, these walls felt quite terrifying even. A place where he doesn't belong. So even when he also felt very excited, part of him just wanted to run. Calming his mind, Free takes his phone and starts to search the areas closest wifi. Rather than thinking useless things, he should use this waiting time properly, do as much as he could. This school has it's own websites. Getting familiar of this place first, then the people in would be the main things to do if he wanted to learn more about their victims. According to Milo, this schools guarding system was in online too. If they get a permisson from that man, they could sign in and keep an eye on the area more easier. Planning things beforehand like this would save time later. Good and premeditated basis was the key to build strong plans, help their progress. That was what Don liked to mention constantly while trying to beat the knowledge inside Frees head. So far, that has worked fine when Free has leant to act through those words. Always reminding himself how Don does things so he could do the same. Simple and clean. Be patient. See from others perspectives to get the whole picture.
Suddenly the bell ringing sound came from nowhere, making Free startle and look around eyes wide open. That ringing didn't last long but the silence was long gone after. The doors on Frees left and right open a short while later and students start walking out. All of a sudden this quiet hallway was full of talking and laughing, people squeezing through, forcing Free stand as still as possible to not end up in peoples way while they take their clothes and walk by. Luckily no one really mind him anyway, he really could blend in here. Slowly the number of people around this narrow hallway decrease, only some of the students stay hanging around while chatting each other, calming the area once again.
That was damn distressing. Free sighs his nervousness out and turns his head on his right, to see was it safe to move. But then he freezes. Someone was standing there. Looking at him with an unbelieving expression. Damn shocked to even speak first. "Free..?" young man calls then quietly, holding his bag even strongly.
Free slowly realizes who he was looking at. Couldn't first believe his eyes either. They were both just staring each other, both doubting were they just seeing things here. "..Kain?"
After hearing other speaking out, Kain steps slowly closer, dropping his bag like he had no strength to hold it anymore. "It really is you?" he asks, almost losing his voice, raising his hand toward Free. Then after making his mind he walks fastly closer, immediately hugging him. "Are you fucking kidding me.."
Free has never before felt this confused in his life. It took him way long to catch the reality here. And when he finally let himself understand the situation here, he loses to his emotions. With teary eyes he hugs strongly back, without able to say anything.

Kain leads Free out from the side doors and sits on the stairs, showing with a hand gesture other to sit down next to him. Free slowly follows him, turns to meet with others eyes after sitting down. They just kept staring at each other awhile in silence, until Kain needed to turn his look away, breathing deeply out to stop himself cry more. Trying to process the situation. "Whatta hell, man. I feel kinda confused here now..," he finally smiles, speaking his mind out, wiping his eye. He wasn't so sure what to even say here when his feelings were very mixed still. He felt incredible happy, but at the same time just wanted to beat the hell out from his friend here.
"Sorry..," Free hums quietly. "I really didn't think I would see you here of all the places either."
"So you were still alive?" other tsihs, snorting, feeling damn angry suddenly. "Well, no one told us you were dead but that was our best guess.."
"Yeah, still here..," Free confirms smiling. How he could even explain himself here. When the reality was, he was indeed alive but choose not to contact his brothers after all what happened. He simple ran. Left others. Such a betrayal was hard to clear out.
Kain turns his look back to Free. Just swallows his anger and taps Frees shoulder once before searching his cigaret box. "You are not supposed to smoke here, but..," Kain sighs loudly, takes two cigarets in his mouth, lighting them both at the same time, then giving the other one to Free. "Tim is dead," he adds, wanting to clear at least this thing out from the start.
This was like drop back to the days when they had just lost their house. Lost Tim. The time when their both lifes changed dramatically. "Yeah..," he confirms once again, quietly, lowing his head. "I'm sorry. I tried, but.."
"Dude, I've had time to cry you two. What ever happened there was not your fault. That I know," Kain tsihs back, hating the whole idea if his brother hear was blaming himself from that. But even when Free has always been very strong, colding his heart from time to time, Kain could easily tell how he really felt, how much it hurt. His brother here was a big faker when it comes to his own suffering. "We went to Tims funeral. All three of us. You weren't there. Not dead or alive. No funerals for you..," Kain smiles then. "I always hoped maybe you actually were still alive and.." Needing to take a break here, he wipes his eye again and pulls Free under his shoulder. "Well here you are. By the way what is with that new hair style? I liked you more as a blonde." He snorts then, teasingly messing others short hair.
"Things happened," while smiling Free waves others hand away. "Had to cut my hair. I'm growing it back." But his smile was soon gone and he turns his look forward, taking a long breath from his cigaret. "I didn't even know there was a funeral.. But to be honest, I kind of.. wanted to forget it all back then.. That might be why I never get to know.." Don never mentioned it. Did he not know or simple never told him?
Kain hums. "Then whatta hell happened? If you got out there alive why didn't you.. We were..," he drops his head, needed to clear his throat a little to get his voice back, holding his feelings.
"It was chaos," Free immediately explains. "All of it. I'm not so sure what happened after I got out so.. I woke up two days later. Heard the building burned down whole," smiling he looks up, trying to calm his shaking voice. "I never went back.."
Eyeing other, Kain takes another breath from his cigaret while straightening his back. "Your cop was there. He called us a ride to the center where they actually took care of us," he suddenly clears. "After that very night everything went so smoothly. They let us rest. Gave us food. Some days later he came to meet us again. Told us, to me and Leon, what ever we had done, it was all cleared now. He asked what we need. What we were planning to do. I told him I wasn't going anywhere without Dino. Days later my parents came to pick me up.." Free has turned his eyes on Kain, meeting his smiling face. "They act so happy to get me back I actually told them I wanted Dino in or I would ran away again. The adoption papers are still going, but he is the the most annoying little brother I could find. They spoil him with game consoles and everything.."
Hearing that filled Free with this overwhelming among of happiness and he couldn't but smile widely. "You live together?"
"Yeah. He is so smart. Even after starting in the middle of a school year he catch up the others and is doing well. I help him as much as I can. The first time ever I really feel like I can be an actual brother for him. And it's all thanks to you," Kain sures, wanting to point out his thoughts straight. Since this felt like a second change after thinking they would never meet again.. "Without you and those two years in the streets with you I would still be the same rebellion kid I once was. If it was not you with me I might have end up be way worse.."
Free snorts. "What? Like I could have live there without you..," he clears then. "We were family. Sticking together. You taught me how to read and all. I'm more debt on you.." He should be the one thanking his brothers. They were what keep him from breaking apart there. The time when he felt the most sick of the whole world around him, struggling everyday against the loneliness, meeting with his brothers one by one brought more and more light in his life. "Actually.. I heard from Danny you were back with your family. I was so happy to hear that. Knowing you were doing fine now.. But that you got Dino with you.. I'm so glad," before he would start feeling even more sentimental here, Free forces himself to change the subject. "How about Leon? Heard from him?"
"I get in touch with him once in a while. He got a foster family. Far from here but.. I think he is doing fine. They are great, those people..," Kain nods. "Your cop said no mather where we end up we would not be separated. He would make sure we could at least call each other. So far, he has done exactly what he promised." Eyeing others slightly surprised face, Kain wanted desperately get some answers here, what have been bothering him since that night. So he repeats his question. "What happened to you? I can clearly see you were not just left behind. So? Did that cop forgive us because of you?"
Sighing deeply out first, Free shows a smile. Humming. "That might be the case. When I heard you all moved on.. and I were left behind.. Sorry, but I kinda took the credit from what we did and made a name out of myself.."
"Credit?"
"I sold myself out. Told them everything. But Don turned the shit around and took me in instead of arresting me."
Without dropping his confused stare, Kain gives a laugh. "Don? That cop of yours?"
Free takes his ID from his pocket and shows it to Kain. "He brought me back to life."
Kain takes the ID card, carefully eyeing it. "You sold yourself to cops?"
"To a cop," younger corrects smiling. "This one is mine. I have a new place to be. Where ever he wants me to be that is where I plan to be," he speaks out his mind and takes his ID back after Kain was done scanning it. "Now I know where I want to be. With him. My place is between here somewhere. In streets and by his side, like."
Kain couldn't believe what he was hearing, eyeing Free with confused look. He couldn't ignore and feel worried his friend has done something like that. Not Free. The most rascal person he has ever known who once hated cops and the whole society from the bottom of his heart. "Why are you here then?" he smirks. Guess even someone like Free could change his opinion when finding enough good reason. Kain could just hope Free really knew what he was doing. And with who.
"You can't guess?" Free smiles back, pointing out the reason wasn't that hard to figure out after what he just state out.
"So working?" was Kains simple guess. And since Free doesn't say a thing, older keeps. "What ever side you are you ain't gonna change too much, right?" he tsihs, not dropping his smile, but still doubting was his brother here in his right mind at all anymore. But Free has always been very extreme. Only someone like Free could turn the most unimaginable fall to win. "I'm gald you are okay. So fucking glad you are. What ever you plan to do I can't but support you, you know that. But I can't ditch this what I have. Got my family and Dino now. Gonna take care of him for you.." Then his expression changes a little. "You are here because of the drug deaths?" Frees serious look back gives his answer. That was exactly why he was here. "I swear I have nothing to do with it. Don't do that shit anymore. But I have heard something. I can give you some names. But it's all rumors running around the school, okay? Might not be helpful at all."
Surprised from hearing Kain offered his help here, Free tsihs smiling. He never plan to mix Kain in this, but his support would actually be very helpful. At least they would have something to start from. "Thanks. That would be great."
- - - -
Milo was now standing outside, making a call while eyeing the two younger man. Free had sent a message to him earlier, just saying he would go out. After Milo was done with the principal he went back to his car and spot Free sitting further with the other kid, taking their time while chatting.
"Yes?"
"I send you a photo. He found a friend here. Looks like this could take some time so if it's okay to you I'm gonna ditch him here," Milo calmly states. "We were done today anyway."
Don doesn't need to even open that photo file. He could figure out who Milo was talking about. "That might be his old friend from streets. You can go. I will pick him up when he's ready."
- - - -
The message sound rings and Free immediately searchs his phone from his pocket. "Looks like I got the rest of the day off," he notes then and puts his phone back. That message was from Don. 'Call me when you need ride.' Guess Milo found out who he was with and informed Don. That he has a permission to stay with his brother a little longer Free surely didn't mind.
"Then..," Kain hums. "I can show you around. You never went to school right?" After chatting this and that the mood around them was way more relaxed, like they were back to where they left, over half a year ago. There was no harm to spend some more time together now, if neither of them were in rush. Kains next class was ongoing already anyway.
Frees spirit went immediately up. "Can you?!"
"Your reactions haven't change a bit," other laughs and stands up. "Let's go." Feeling extremely excited, younger gets up and follows Kain back inside. "Let's change numbers," Kain adds then while searching his own phone. "I don't wanna lose you again."
Feeling like he has some kind of confession to make, Free blurts the very fact out. "Mine is the same as always.."
Kain turns his once again confused look on Free while walking, then his steps stop and he actually realizes what Free just said, growing more puzzled the more he think it. "What?!"
Free shows his phone. "I still have the same sim. I had my phone with me when I got out the house so.. Don never gave it away but kept it save for me."
Unbelieving Kain kept staring at him. Until letting out a loud curse, weeping his frustration out. "All this months you haven't change your phone number?? So if I had just tried I could have call you?"
Showing a weak smile, trying to calm the other, Free carefully nods. "I had no reason to change it when all our old contacts trust it. If I need them I could call them without a problem. That's my benefit."
Kain fastly looks at his phone, types the familiar number and makes a call. The phone on Frees hand starts to ring. Kain smirks, trying to hold his widening smile. This was so unreal. If he had just try and call him even once during this time.. Growing quite annoyed now, he keeps walking, shaking it off. Just after this short time meeting his brother again and Free was already able to make him feel this pissed off, as usually. So forgetting it all for now was the only way Kain to relax again.
And since Free could read his brother, he remain silent, just cursing in his mind it wasn't his fault in the first place. But pointing that out would definitely make Kain snap. As their oldest brother, Kain might have been the very one actually holding their group together back then, being the smartest and most considerate one of them all. That brotherly responsibility made him quite explosive too out of all that worrying, his words when he snaps were damn scary even Free had to back off once in a while. Knowing it was better not to add more heat to the fire and Kain would calm down on his own, Free follows the other while already eyeing the building, feeling just excited himself, so ready to see what all they have in here.
They start from the lobby. Walking around the school about an hour Kain introduced some of his classrooms and the cafeteria area where they had a fast break. The more they explore the more they gathered curious eyes on them. And it didn't take long the rumor of an handsome idol visiting the school spreading. When Kain and Free were walking back down the stairs the first brave ones show up.
"Hi, Kain!" a group of girls appeared in front of them, one of the girls waving to Kain, getting their attention. "Sorry to bother you, but.."
"We couldn't help noticing your friend here," the second girl adds. "Please introduce us!"
Kain was wordless a second and actually turning his asking eyes on Free, thinking was it really even appropriate to do so when Free was here for serious reason. But since Frees own expression didn't change a bit, Kain turns his attention back to the group, pointing them. "They are my classmates. Girls, this is.. Free."
"Free!" not a second and girls were acting more hype. "That's a cool name! You are so handsome too!"
"CAN WE TAKE PICTURES WITH YOU?!"
Surprised from their sudden reaction, Free just hums. "S-sure?" And after getting yes for an answer girls let out their excitement. Immediately they surround him, ignoring Kain from now on.
"Are you an idol? Where do you work?"
"You are a model, right? Are you planning to participate the upcoming event too??"
Kain steps willingly further. He has used to Free gathering attention where ever he went, so he should have realize bringing his friend in school full of fan girls would end up like this. But even if Free felt so abashed at the moment, he didn't let the sudden situation shock him too much. Young man shows his flirt smile and takes his role. "Ha? An idol?" he says flirtingly. "Don't know about that, but I can model for you anytime. What pose you want? You want me down or on top?" He hasn't used to show up to young girls, but they were clearly easier to seduce than adults.
"Have you seen him before? There is no way he is not popular," a blond girl standing on the side whispers to her friend in Spanish, clearly not even thinking Free might understand them.
"Maybe he is new? But he has to be. That's not his real name, right?" other answers. Three other girls were already taking selfies with Free, who calmly answers to their weird guestions shortly and poses with them, coping their V sign girls were making.
When girls have took enough photos with him, it was time to answer why he was here, in their school. Was he perhaps working? "Oh I'm just under cover right now. So please try to be quiet about this," Free clears quietly, not dropping his smile. Then moves his eyes toward the two girls who had spoken Spanish before, winks his eyes to them. "It would do bad for business if I'm discovered here," he adds in Spanish. Girls went wild from that and after a small chatting they eventually said goodbyes and leave giggling.
"What is an idol?" Free quietly asks from Kain while waving to girls.
"Your fast acting skills are as amazing as ever," Kain sighs, awing others calmness. "They were talking about Net Idols, who get paid for pleasing their fans with pictures and videos online. They are entertainers, influencers. Some of them are very good looking, like you. How you haven't ram in to them? They are everywhere."
"I might have but got no interest..," Free points out, already losing his flirting role, sighing out. "So there are people like them too."
"You should lose the coping and go with idoling. Your face is unreal anyway," older gives a laugh while taking Free under his arm, leading them toward the exit to show the rest of the campus. "But bet that work would be too boring for you." They went out and while chatting more about this and that Kain spots some guys near the court, needing to change the subject. "Damn, how lucky you are. There they are.." Free turns his eyes the same way, looking the group of four wearing their red sportswears. There was a game going, half the group seem to be on their break, half still playing. "The students I mentioned. Noel and Benjamin there. They are the ones who are known to bring drugs to parties," Kain explains quietly, looking around to confirm no one was near them hearing their conversation.
"Nice," younger says smiling, takes his phone and puts it in Kains pocket. "Let's go."
"Ha?" older asks in surprise. Wasn't it idiotic to approach them just like that?? "What are you doing..?"
"Idoling," Free winks his eye and walks straight toward the group. Kain sighs out and hesitatingly follows him. "Hey, you!" younger ahead calls out the guys, waving them to get their attention. And eventually they turn to look at the young man approaching them, giving very abashed, sharp looks back since they have to idea who he was, why someone was suddenly bothering them. But Free doesn't mind but shows his best charm to break the ice. "Can I bother you a bit?" he leans closer to one of them, acting very chatty. "I couldn't help and notice your outfits. Turns me on so my fans surely would like 'em too! You mind take some pictures with me? I can pay you. It would be for my next topic. You all look damn handsome so it's a shame if I didn't took this opportunity. Pretty please? Can give you a kiss too, if that's what you want in return." While clearing his intentions, Free actually touchs guys shoulder and leans his face very close, no shame in his actions what so ever.
The guy Free was leaning on actually blushes a little, trying to take his personal space back. "..What?"
Two other start to laugh, thinking the new guy was just hilarious. Their friends reaction to this slight flirting was fun to witness. "Are you some kind of Idol too?" one of them asks, pointing this huge poster hanging on the side of their sport center, advertising this incomming event. To them Free wasn't the first idol they have seen recently. After the event date was launched, those about to participate, alone or with their teams, have been seen in the area with the organizers, planning the right schedules for the fan meetings and rest. Even when these guys weren't that interested in that kind of things, there was no way they could have stay totally unaware here when everyone was talking about the event.
Guys open reaction was a green light to Free keep pushing more. There was no way his flirting wouldn't have effect. Free was a pro man hunter. Without giving an answer, he turns and waves to Kain. "Hey! They agreed! Take a picture, would you," Free takes his place in the middle of the four guys and shows a wide smile. "I'm gonna make you guys famous so give me your best pose." And guys went with the flow. Kain takes Frees phone from his pocket and catchs some pictures. After this short photo shooting, ensuring he now has what he was after, Free loses his interest and walks immediately back next to Kain, takes his phone and looks at the photos. They end up good, all of their faces were recognizable. "Damn! Thanks! That's awesome!" he awes while still using this very overreacting tone to talk, but not looking at any of them anymore, simple ignoring them from now on.
Now that was smooth. But leaving these guys just hanging here would be rude, so Kain steps in now. "I'm sorry. He can't behave when he gets this excited," he apologizes smiling, waves to the guys and follows his brother who was already casually just walking away. "That was something..," Kain adds smiling when they get further from the group.
"Now you can just give me the names and I can move from that," Frees voice was normal again. He puts the phone back to his pocket. "I'm totally gonna use this 'idoling' shit later too."
Other laughs a bit. Now that the act was over, Free was like nothing even happened. It was amazing how shamelessly he could act. To Kain something like that was impossible. "The tall guy you almost kissed was Benjamin. And the quiet sulky looking guy was Noel. His brother.. was the one who died. He was in some of my classes too."
Free stops his steps and turns his eyes on Kain, showing an empathic look toward him. "Was he your friend too? I'm sorry.."
"Well we weren't that close. But he was a great guy," Kain clears with a shrug, acting like it was nothing when clearly it was. That made Free even more load to solve their case. His brother looked suddenly quite bemused, like not even wanting to remind himself about the whole subject more. "I have missed this. 'Working' with you," older adds then, wearing his usual and strong appearance with a smile. He didn't want to act sulking. "Always so spontaneous."
"We made a great team back then," Free smirks back. "But being spontaneous was not always so smart, remember. I'm surprised we actually are even alive after all the shits we did."
"True," Kain agrees laughing. "Kinda glad I can have my easy now. Be normal." He meets with Frees eyes. "You like it. The action. Walking to the unknown. Guess it would be impossible you to be satisfied with just normal."
"Don't know what is normal," younger points out smiling. They were now walking out the school entrance. Stopping there. "But staying still is not for me. I need challenges. Some action."
There was this familiar looking man standing next to the car further from them near the road, looking toward them, immediately taking Kains attention. His mood changes. To a little worried. But not so surprised. "I think that's your ride..," he notes, pointing Free to look too.
Free turns his look. Don was leaning to his car, looking calmly back, arms crossed. Realizing his lover was already here to pick him up made Free happy, but also a little angry because man clearly knew beforehand Kain was here, but didn't bother to tell Free about it. "Yeah. You need a ride?"
"No. My mother is coming to get me. My things are still in so I have to go back before she comes," Kain states, looking once again Free. "Let's keep in touch. Report me how it's going. Your case too."
Free hums. "Sure. If you can, tell Leon I said hi. I would like to hear from him too. Later. Some day," and he adds quietly the rest, starting to feel sad now when the time to part again was here. "I'm happy we got to see again. Take care of Dino. And yourself."
"Don't let that cop play with you too much," Kain says while turning his slightly worried look toward Don again, not hiding how much he disliked that cops presence. "To be honest, I don't like him. He creeps me out. If you ever need a way out I'm here for you."
"Trust me, I'm fine. And, sorry, but even if something would happen I can't drag you down with me again when you have finally get yourself out the streets," Free presses his fist against Kains shoulder. "If I ever hear you went back I will hunt you down and arrest you. 'Cause I'm one of the shit hats now."
Kain lets out a laugh. "I wonder how long you can act like that. That cop of yours was not normal, so..," then he takes one step away, showing he was leaving. "I'll see you later."
"See you..," Free says, keeping his eyes locked on the other when guy turns, waves his hand and walks back toward the main entrance. Just after Kain gets in and totally vanishes from his view, Free finally turns his eyes on Don. Starts walking toward him. Without a word, looking a little angry, he steps in the car and closes the door.
Don does the same, doesn't dare to say anything. Why ever Free looked so angry Don would soon find out. Older guy starts the car and in silent slowly drives away from the campus. After a while Free finally turns his eyes on him. "You all right?" Don asks immediately.
"Did you know he was in?" Free asks with a plane voice.
He should just be clear here. "I did. But the possibility you guys actually meeting was very low. Telling you would have effect your job from the beginning. It effect you so much you actually took and leave your position. Not that it really matter, but normally acting like that would be unacceptable," Don states out. "Milo was okay with it, but don't think it will be okay in the future. Be sure to apologize him later."
Free sighs after realizing the actual situation here. True. He was the one who acted selfishly. Don should be the one being angry, not him. After calming his mind, Free finally breaks the silence again. "Exactly how debt I am to you..?"
Older shows a smile, wondering what nonsense other was thinking again. "If you mean your friends, helping them get back on their feet was part of my job. No debt."
"Yeah, sure.."
Don breathes out. Clearly young man wasn't pleased yet. "I knew it was important to you so it was important to me. That's all."
"Even during then?"
"Even then. Trust me, I wouldn't have done it if I didn't care about your feelings."
