As he settled into his office, his father, Robert, walked in.
"Morning, Alex. I wanted to talk about your sudden departure last night. Is everything alright?" Robert asked, his brows furrowed with worry.
Alex sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Eve was feeling sick. It was best for her to leave early and get some rest."
Robert nodded, his concern easing slightly. "I understand. I hope she's feeling better."
"Yeah, I'm sure she just needed some sleep." Alex replied.
