One day while I was training in the dojo, Izuku noticed something unusual.
"Junpei, there's a weird bump on your forehead," he said.
I checked and sure enough, there was a bump. My Quirk, Oni, was awakening. Over the following days, the bump grew to the point that everyone noticed. When the horns finally grew completely, the powers of my Quirk started manifesting, and it was a disaster. I had completely underestimated the downsides of Oni. I broke everything I touched. Eating became a nightmare; I broke my iron chopsticks for the 20th time, and the amount of food I had to consume was staggering.
Akari had similar downsides. She also needed to eat huge amounts of food due to her dragon strength. However, her situation was different. She could control her strength by tapping into her dragon form's power incrementally—20%, 50%, or 100%. She only lost control when using a high percentage of her dragon strength, or When she's in her Dragon form which was still a lot better than my situation. She could gradually learn to control her strength, whereas I couldn't.
Eating enormous quantities of food was the worst part. If I hadn't been born into a family of heroes with plenty of money, my parents would have definitely struggled to support me. I didn't need to worry about Akari; she lived in a wealthy neighborhood, so she was fine.
Anyways,When Oni awakened, it triggered the full potential of my Magic Eyes. My whole family was surprised when I suddenly started teleporting things around the house.
"So your second Quirk caused the full awakening of your first Quirk. Your first Quirk, Magic Eyes, now gives you telekinesis, teleportation, and those skeleton things... we'll talk about those later. Your second Quirk, Oni, gives you immense strength, energy that can manifest as fire and lightning, and a healing ability whose limits we don't yet know. How are we supposed to merge them together?" my dad asked, his tone extremely worried.
My siblings, after three years, realized the gravity of having two powerful Quirks.
"What are we going to do?" Fumiko asked.
"Is Junpei going to be fine if people discover he has dual Quirks?" Keiji added.
"Don't worry, Junpei will be fine," Mom assured them.
"Why are you guys overthinking this?" I interjected. So you don't understand" I understand That I am special
"I know what you're talking about. I'm not stupid. What I meant is the answer to the question of combining my Quirks is simple. The answer is 'Devil.' Think about it: I have horns, can shoot lightning and fire, telekinesis, teleportation, and a healing ability, plus those skeleton monsters. All of that combined screams 'devil.' And it makes sense because Fumiko has a Nine-Tailed Fox Quirk that gives her some of the fox's powers like shape-shifting, illusion-making, and dream control. Later on, she develop other abilities like enhanced sensing, minor mind influence—which puts suggestions in someone's mind they can easily ignore but still helps by making enemies fall for her faints and sneak attacks—and a minor strength boost. So, in the end, saying that my Quirk gives me the power of a devil isn't that far-fetched, since my sister already has a Quirk that gives her the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox."
After hearing my explanation, they were shocked by how logical my answer was. They became embarrassed because they hadn't thought of it themselves.
"Well, son, your suggestion is good. Making your Quirk 'Devil' will be great, but still, I don't want you to show off your Quirk just in case," my dad said.
"I already know that. I'll reveal my Quirk to the world once I become a top hero. Then no one will be able to do anything about it."
"You're right, son," my mom said proudly.
The next day, I told my friends, including Bakugo, about my Quirk, Devil.
"Wow, that's awesome! Your Quirk is incredible, Junpei," Izuku said.
But the other two had completely different reactions, yet they were similar in sentiment.
"So your Quirk is this strong? It doesn't matter. I still want to be stronger than you," Akari said.
"Sure, your Quirk is the damn Devil. That doesn't matter. I can still blow up the Devil. My Quirk is stronger than yours. Just because you have more tricks doesn't mean you become stronger than me," Bakugo retorted.
"By the way, why are you avoiding touching anything?" Izuku asked.
"Well, I can't control my Quirk, so anything I touch breaks," I replied.
"Wait, what does that mean? You can't do anything until you control your Quirk?" Akari asked worriedly.
"No, my dad's gonna take me to a support item workshop to get a support item that can help me control my strength."
"Wait, you're going to a support item shop?" all three of them asked excitedly. "Can you send us pictures?"
"Well, I guess I'll have to bring some souvenirs with me," I said.
Five days later...
"Junpei, this place is run by an old friend of mine, so be nice, okay?" Dad said.
"Okay, Dad."
As we approached, I saw the sign: "The Place Where Craziness is Created." This isn't ominous at all, I thought.
Once we walked in, we saw a secretary. My dad asked about the owner, but suddenly a woman's voice screamed, "GENKEI! It's been a while!"
When I turned my head, I saw a woman crashing towards my dad, burying his face between her chest. She had pink hair and green eyes with pupils shaped like sniper sights. She looked familiar.
"Hatsume, it's been a while," my dad spoke through her chest.
They got up, and she said, "Yeah, I heard you came because you wanted a suppressor for your kid. Well, come on in." She started walking quickly into the workshop.
As I turned my head towards my dad, I whispered, "Dad, I'm gonna tell Mom about this."
My father got on his knees, pleading, "Please don't! I will do anything. Just don't tell her!"
"Buy me a pet," I demanded.
"Alright," he conceded, realizing I had finally accomplished a long-standing goal.
Still, that woman and her name seemed familiar. Once we walked into the shop, I knew exactly where I had heard it before when I saw the girl, Mei Hatsume. There was a loud explosion behind her as she grinned.
"So, you're the guy who needs the suppressor?" she asked, smiling.
"Well, I'm Completely fucked today," I thought, feeling a mix of excitement and dread.
