We all fight for what we think is right, that is how wars are created. I am aware of my wrongs and I will stand by them, for I am the evil that this world needs.
The cheers have been replaced by cries for help, and the smell of liquor by the smell of blood –sour and foul. The arena was now a slaughter-house for the Dark Saints.
In the dimly lit Intel room of the ANTs' headquarters, the atmosphere was tense. Maps and strategic plans covered the walls, and the air was thick with the scent of ink and parchment. The Intel Unit captain,
Neith, stood at the table, her sharp eyes scanning the faces of her elite team. Each member was a master of their craft, brought together to protect the realm from threats both known and unknown.
The door burst open, and a young scout, breathless and wide-eyed, stumbled in.
"Captain Neith," he gasped, "urgent news from Galadrielle… or what's left of it…"
Neith's eyes narrowed as she motioned for the scout to continue. "Speak quickly, soldier."
The scout took a deep breath, steadying himself. "The Dark Saints have launched a coordinated attack on Galadrielle. The kingdom was ablaze…"
"Was?"
"Y-yes, ma'am. The kingdom was under attack and then in a fraction of a second, it vanished."
The young man continued, "and then from the sea… From the sea… Came out…"
Before he could finish his words, his mind shut down. From his mouth came out blood and white fluid which led him to drown in his own fluids.
The news of Galadrielle being completely wiped out traumatized Neith. Not because of the lives lost, but she knew what was coming. She knows this from her memories of the past. About a thousand years ago, a similar event occurred and the first Neith witnessed it.
A murmur of shock and anger rippled through the room. Some of the soldiers were from Galadrielle and all corners of Tellus, after all, they are the Allied Nations of Tellus.
Neith's jaw tightened, her mind racing with the implications. "We are doomed." she said, her voice cold and uncontrolled.
Another scout entered the room and shouted, "Forgemire is under attack."
One after another, the scouts entered the room, reporting what they witnessed without giving Neith time to breathe.
"Sylvia is under attack"
"Throkia is under attack"
"Euryo is under attack"
"Mailaysa is under attack"
"Aurya is under attack"
"Nexaria managed to defeat the Dark Saints invaders."
Just as she was catching her breath after the last statement, she received news about Motherland being attacked.
"Urgent report ma'am, Noelle V. Silverstone is siding with the Dark Saints."
A sinister smile covered Neith's face, "We have been played."
"Captain?"
"If Noelle is a member of the Dark Saints, then we are doomed. He is one of the highest ranking soldiers of Tellus. If they have him, then they know everything about us. They attacked multiple nations simultaneously to exhaust us, and that plan worked. We cannot even aid another nation. In the events
that we survive this, I doubt that there will be an alliance anymore, he managed to destroy what took us two hundred years to build in a single day."
She continued, "and as for me, I couldn't prevent it."
"Urgent report: The commanders have been knocked out. The only thing that stands in the Dark Saints' way is the Supreme Commander."
In the arena, Kael was levitating. His body had entered a state above the Emperor State, this state that he was in is known as the Saint State.
"Beautiful," said Noelle as he gazed upon Kael.
Kael turned his gaze towards Noelle, and confusion replaced his rational self. By Noelle's sides were men in dark clothing, and behind Noelle, the same men were killing people.
"Commander, what is happening?"
"Oh come on Kael. We are here for you?"
"For me? What do you mean?" He looked around and within a fraction of a second, he concluded that Noelle was the enemy.
"I see. So none of it was real."
"You are sharp. Now come down here… Unless you are insinuating that YOU ARE ABOVE ME." Noelle's expression changed, his face became more serious, the smile had faded, and his body released a dreadful
and sinister aura.
His base form took over, covering half of his body in water and the other half in flames. "Come with us, or we will drag your corpse with us."
Noelle was getting close to Mikaela's weakened body on the floor. "Perhaps if I kill this peasant, you will take me seriously."
Noelle created a flaming arrow and threw it in Mikaela's direction. The arrow travelled at high speed but before it could hit Mikaela, she wasn't there, Kael had carried her.
"Huh, you are fast." said Noelle. He said this because not only did Kael manage to save Mikaela, at the same time he had enough time to land a punch on Noelle. This was the difference between a Saint and an Emperor.
Kael aggressively said, "If you want me, you better be ready to lose your life."
In another room, where the Supreme Commander was in, the men in black were nothing but corpses and as for Harold, he was nowhere to be found.
