I was snuggled down in my wolf form feeling the warmest I had felt in what felt like days. Beyond the sound of the running waterfall I could hear the blizzard blowing outside. Just the thought of how cold I had been in those conditions made me shiver.
"It's okay. I will keep us safe and warm," Ice assured me.
"I know. But I just can't shake the knowledge that I could have died out there," I told her.
"I know. But I will keep us safe now," she assured me. "You should get some sleep," she encouraged me.
I lay my head on my paws and before I knew it, I had drifted off into a sound sleep.

Cristi and I had been preparing our dinner in the kitchen when a knock on the door had interrupted us. We opened the door and found Connor, Liam, Caleb and Zac on the front porch.
"Connor, Liam, come on in," I said, trying to figure out what this could possibly be about.
