The waiter's voice trembled as he revealed the truth. "It was Scarlet, your fiancée. She paid me to drug you, hoping you'd lose control and get in bed with her."
Alex's expression turned cold. "Jax, take care of this," he said, and Jax, not wasting any time shot the waiter's ear, leaving him bleeding and unconscious.
"Find Scarlet," Alex ordered, and Jax nodded. "Consider it done, boss."
Alex stepped out of the structure and into the mansion, pouring himself a glass of wine. He emptied the glass in one go, placed the glass down as his mind wandered back to the past.
*Flashback*
Alex's voice was icy cold, his eyes blazing with fury. "Mom, you have no right deciding who I marry. I'm not going to marry her, and that's final." He pointed to Scarlet, who sat on the couch, her eyes welling up with tears.
"But Alex, what did I ever do to you? I love you and—" Scarlet pleaded, but Alex cut her off.
"Shut up and get out of here!" he growled, his voice menacing. Scarlet couldn't bear it anymore; she stood up and fled the mansion in tears.
"Please calm down son" Stacy said "she is from a prestigious home, she is well trained and has a status that can match yours, please just give her a chance"
"Mom, I don't to want to ever talk about this again" Alex said calmly but the cold venom in his voice did not go by unnoticed by Stacy.
"Alright, I'm sorry my son, don't be angry at your mother" she said and watched as her son headed up stairs without a word.
A few days later, Alex was going through documents in his room when he heard someone enter without knocking. He looked up to see Scarlet standing in his room, practically naked.
"What are you doing here? Get out!" Alex snarled, his irritation growing.
Scarlet walked closer, her eyes locked on his. "What's the matter, don't I look good enough for you?" she purred, wrapping her arms around his neck.
But before she could kiss him, Alex pushed her off, and she fell hard on the ground, hitting her head on a nearby table. "Ah!" she cried out in pain.
Alex grabbed her hair, pulling her up to her feet. "If you try something like this again, you might not make it away from me alive," he hissed, his eyes blazing with anger.
He dragged her to the door and threw her out. "One way or another, Alex, you will be mine," Scarlet spat, banging on his door before collapsing on the floor in tears.
* End of Flashback *
Alex picked up his phone, gazing at the time - 9:00 pm. He downed one more glass of wine, then exited the mansion, got into his car, and drove off into the night. After an hour, he arrived home, took a warm bath, and changed into casual clothes. Settling onto his couch, he tried to clear his mind before leaving his room, but the memory of Scarlet's tears and threats lingered, leaving him unsettled.
Meanwhile, Alice sat curled up in her room, crying. She ignored the knock on her door, but it opened anyway. She expected Stacy or Daniella, but instead, she saw Alex, her worst nightmare. Fear took over as he approached her, his eyes roaming her body. She tried to push him away, but he pinned her down, his anger growing.
Alice's tears fell like rain as she stammered, "I'm s-sorry... Please d-don't h-hurt me."
Alex's expression softened. "I not gonna hurt you." But his eyes still held a hint of lust, leaving Alice uncertain and afraid.
