As Daniella stepped closer, Alice's heart raced with fear. "W-what do you want?" Alice stuttered, trying to hide behind her phone's light.
Daniella's smile sent chills down Alice's spine. "You think you're so special, don't you? Getting all the attention from Mr. Black."
Alice shook her head, "I-I don't know what you're talking about."
Daniella's eyes gleamed with malice. "Don't play dumb. I know all about your little affair with him."
Alice's mind raced. How did Daniella know? And what did she plan to do with that information?
Suddenly, Daniella's gaze dropped to the object in her hand. Alice's eyes followed, and her blood ran cold. It was a small vial of liquid, similar to the one used to poison her before.
"Please, Daniella, don't do anything rash," Alice pleaded, trying to reason with her.
But Daniella just laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You should have stayed out of my way, Alice. Now, it's too late."
And with that, Daniella raised the vial, ready to strike...
Alice's heart was racing as she watched Daniella raise the vial. She knew she had to act fast, or she would be in grave danger. With a surge of adrenaline, Alice threw her phone at Daniella, momentarily blinding her with the bright light.
"Run!" Alice screamed to herself, scrambling out of bed and making a dash for the door.
But Daniella was too quick. She recovered from the phone's glare and lunged at Alice, grabbing her arm and spinning her back around.
"You're not going anywhere," Daniella snarled, her eyes blazing with fury.
Alice struggled to break free, but Daniella's grip was like a vice. She was trapped.
Just as Daniella was about to force the liquid down Alice's throat, a loud crash echoed from the hallway. The door burst open, and Alex strode in, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Let her go, Daniella," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Daniella's smile faltered, and for a moment, Alice saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes. But then, her expression hardened, and she sneered at Alex.
"You'll never stop me," Daniella spat, raising the vial again.
Alex didn't hesitate. With lightning-fast reflexes, he grabbed Daniella's wrist and twisted it, forcing her to drop the vial. It shattered on the floor, the liquid splashing harmlessly.
Daniella's eyes widened in rage as Alex pinned her against the wall, his grip on her wrist like a vice.
"You'll pay for this, Alex," she snarled, struggling to break free.
But Alex held firm, his eyes blazing with anger.
Alice watched in shock as Alex subdued Daniella, his movements swift and precise. She couldn't believe what was happening.
"It's over, Daniella," Jax said, his voice cold and deadly. "You're finished."
Finally, one of Alex's men, Baxter, came in, dragged Daniella out of the room, leaving Alice shaken and confused.
As she tried to process what had just occurred, Alice heard a voice. Ice cold but at the same time, warm.
"Alice, are you okay?" Alex asked, his expression concerned.
Alice nodded, still trying to process the events of the past few minutes.
"It's okay, Jax, take care of this" Alex said before leaving for the direction of his room
Alice's eyes widened. "What will happen to her?"
Jax's expression turned grim. "She'll face the consequences of her actions. Don't worry, Alice. You're safe now."
But as Alice nodded, a lingering sense of unease settled in. She couldn't shake off the feeling that this was far from over, that there were more secrets and dangers lurking in the shadows...
