Chapter 28 - Is Very Similar to Ibrahimovic

Title: Is Very Similar to Ibrahimovic

Windsor is the name of a street called Windsor Street, a well-known street in the surrounding area because there is a very famous school on this street, also called Windsor.

Windsor is a one-stop school, from primary school to junior high school to high school.

Less than two kilometers east of Windsor Street, there is another street called Cambridge Road. There is also a school called Cambridge. The two schools are a bit like Oxford University and Cambridge University in this not-rich neighborhood. They have a healthy competition.

Every year, the two schools host football matches for all school ages, called the Newton Heath Cup. This cup game has been held since the establishment of the two schools, and it is said that it has been more than thirty years.

Although the school's team also plays friendly matches with other schools, there is no doubt that the top priority of this year is this one. For both schools, its importance is no less than that of the UEFA Champions League final.

This year's important match is scheduled to take place at Cambridge School.

"Ismail, I heard that two more people came from Windsor this year. They are from the youth team of the football club."

Two young men of similar age walked into the school gate. One was very tall, probably more than 1.70 meters, and looked quite strong. The other was relatively short and thin.

"Which club?" the tall boy, Ismail, asked, surprised.

"It looks like Manchester United!" said the short boy.

Ismail frowned, thinking for a while. "No, Manchester United's youth team is all in Carrington. How could they go to Newton Heath to study? Is it New Manchester United?"

"Oh, yes, yes, it's New Manchester United!"

"New Manchester United also has a youth team?" Ismail was a little surprised.

"I heard that one is an Argentinian who plays forward, and the other came from London. He's a central defender. With these two, Windsor defeated Newton a month ago!"

Newton is another nearby elementary school. He recently had a warm-up match with Windsor. In that game, Messi scored 5 goals, and Curtis scored a header.

"Oh, is he great?" Ismail looked unconvinced. "How great can the amateur team's youth team be?"

"I don't know how great, but I heard that the Argentine kid is very short, much shorter than me, and that London kid is very strong!"

Ismail sneered after hearing it. "Just wait and see, I must defeat them!"

Having said that, the two accelerated their pace and ran towards the stadium.

Levi, Walsh, Evra, and Bruce followed behind them, all smiling bitterly.

"This kid's tone is so good, he just looks down on our club!" Levi, who wouldn't care about the kids, said jokingly.

Walsh and Bruce both laughed.

Today's team holiday, Levi promised Messi and Curtis he would come to see them play. Walsh and Bruce were idle and came along, and Evra was going to come and help friends.

A group of people walked to the school stadium and saw a group of children around in the distance. The young players of the two school teams changed clothes at the two goal positions and warmed up.

Among these players, Ismail and Curtis were the tallest, but the former seemed one or two years younger than Curtis. However, his look towards Curtis was full of provocation.

A striker and a center-back exchanging glares naturally smells of gunpowder.

"Leo, Curtis!" Evra shouted as soon as he was on the sidelines.

"Ah, Patrice! Boss, Mr. Walsh, Mr. Bruce, you are all here!" Leo and Curtis rushed over to say hello.

"Leo, how are you today?" Walsh asked with a smile.

"No problem!" Messi looked confident.

"Curtis, watch out for that forward. Don't look at him being tall. In my opinion, he is very good and fast. Remember what I taught you?" Bruce called to Curtis.

Curtis nodded heavily. "Remember, to deal with players faster than us, we must attach to them and occupy the position. Don't let them have the advantage of speed. If you can't stop him, go through him fiercely!"

Levi on the side heard sweating, how could Bruce teach children like this?

But Bruce really nodded again and again. "Yes, remember what I taught you. Play well after playing!"

At this time, a small player came over from the goal, holding the captain's armband in his hand, and came to Curtis. "Curtis, the teacher said you will be the captain of this game!"

Curtis was not timid at all. He took it, put it on his arm, and pointed at the small player who sent him the captain's armband. "Boss, Michael is the core of our team's midfield. His parents want to send him to Manchester City's Youth Camp, and you have to watch him carefully. If you see it, I will help you grab him!"

Walsh and Bruce looked at Levi from time to time, as if to say, "You should not be a trafficker."

Levi was embarrassed and patted Curtis's shoulder heavily with a shake of his hand. "You kid, just play with your heart. We have our own opinion on the club's affairs. Besides, can you manage the housework of others?"

"Boss, don't believe me, Michael listens to me the most. I told him not to go, and he definitely won't go. If you don't believe me, ask Leo!" Curtis pointed at Messi, unconvinced.

The latter kept nodding, apparently agreeing with Curtis's words.

"Okay, stop talking, your teacher is calling!"

When Curtis and Messi saw it, they suddenly dropped Levi, Walsh, Evra, and Bruce and ran back to the court.

Although it was only a warm-up match for elementary school students, the school still invited three amateur referees to whistle.

When the referee blew the game whistle, Messi, standing in the middle circle, kicked the ball back to his own half to Michael.

Michael played in the midfield. Although he was young, he had a good stance in kicking the ball. He had a good level of passing and receiving, especially his scheduling in the midfield. The team's balls were almost all handed over to him to transfer.

Messi played forward, Michael played midfield, Curtis played central defender, and Windsor operated around the center axis of these three. Almost no matter how the ball moved, these three were always involved.

After playing for a short time, after getting used to the rhythm and atmosphere on the court, the small players on the field gradually let go.

"Come on!" Curtis cut off a direct pass to Ismail, took the ball two steps forward, passed it to Michael, and made a pressure action at the same time.

"This kid has become prestigious since he became the captain!" Levi laughed at Curtis.

But Bruce shook his head. "Curtis has made great progress recently. It seems that it was a wise choice to arrange for him to train with the main force!"

On the field, after Michael received the ball, he passed it to the wing.

Messi, who failed to get the ball in front, retreated. Michael passed it accurately to his feet. The latter took a turn, flexed away from the opponent's defensive player, and accelerated!

Although Messi was very small, he was very fast, especially when his speed was soaring. It was like a supercar with full throttle, rushing to the opponent's goal, and he passed the other three defensive players in the middle.

When Messi walked past the goalkeeper and kicked the ball into the goal, there was a burst of warm applause around the pitch.

Even after passing four players, even in the face of a group of elementary school students, Messi's performance was indeed very exciting, especially his ability to change the rhythm under high-speed dribbling, as if he was born for it.

"He is really a genius, Levi!" Bruce had to admit that Levi's vision was unique.

At least he saw Messi and Curtis as very promising. Even if Evra had not been reused recently, Bruce had to admit that he had talent but still needed refinement.

Ismail returned indignantly to prepare for the kickoff, looked back at his companions behind him, and stared at them for a while. This guy should be the child king in the school.

"Wait for the ball to come to me!"

With just one word, the small players at Cambridge Primary School really passed the ball to Ismail.

Don't look at Ismail being tall and strong, but as Bruce said, his speed was very fast and his movements were flexible. He almost passed Curtis after receiving the ball several times, causing Curtis to use foul tactics.

"Hey, Windsor's London boy, wouldn't you be nothing but a foul?" Once, Ismail was pulled down by Curtis and jumped up from the ground, as if he was an annoyed bull rushing to the matador.

"If you have the skill, don't let me get it, or you can choose to direct the free kick!" Curtis pointed to his goal.

The referee ran over, gave Curtis a yellow card for constant fouls, and then signaled Ismail to step back and prepare for a free kick.

As a result, Ismail's free kick turned into an anti-aircraft gun. In this age group, there is little possibility of successfully shooting a free kick, because no one has the patience to perform such training.

But Ismail apparently didn't plan to leave it that way. He stood in front of Curtis again. This time he cleverly leaned against Curtis with his body. After receiving the ball, his left foot was very flexible, walked around, and passed Curtis, then the man passed from Curtis's right side like a slippery loach.

Curtis had a companion behind him, but he was easily deceived by Ismail's fakes. After that, Ismail crossed the goalkeeper, pushed Ismail crossed the goalkeeper and pushed the ball into the empty goal, equalizing the score!

As he retrieved the ball from the goal frame, he sneered at Curtis, making it clear that he could do whatever Messi did.

Seeing Ismail's flexible dribbling action, coupled with his tall body and surprising explosiveness, Levi couldn't help but think of Ibrahimovic.

"This guy is very similar to Ibrahim!" Levi thought to himself.

The game continued, and both teams played with intense energy. Curtis, remembering Bruce's advice, adjusted his defensive strategy. He stayed closer to Ismail, using his body to disrupt Ismail's movements and prevent him from gaining the speed advantage.

Michael continued to control the midfield with precision passes, distributing the ball to his teammates effectively. Messi, showing his extraordinary talent, made several more impressive runs, showcasing his dribbling skills and scoring another goal for Windsor.

Despite Ismail's efforts, Curtis's improved defense and Windsor's cohesive teamwork began to dominate the game. Windsor's confidence grew with each successful play, and they managed to extend their lead.

As the match progressed, the rivalry between Curtis and Ismail became a focal point. Ismail's frustration grew as Curtis successfully blocked several of his attempts. In the final minutes of the game, Ismail managed to break through Curtis's defense once more and scored a second goal, bringing the score to 3-2.

However, Windsor held on to their lead and, with the final whistle, won the match. The Windsor players celebrated their hard-earned victory while the Cambridge players showed good sportsmanship, shaking hands with their opponents.

Levi, Walsh, Bruce, and Evra walked onto the field to congratulate the young players. Levi patted Curtis and Messi on the back, proud of their performance.

"You both played exceptionally well," Levi said. "Keep up the hard work, and you'll go far."

Bruce nodded in agreement. "Curtis, your defense improved greatly throughout the match. And Messi, your dribbling and speed are impressive. You both have bright futures ahead of you."

Evra added, "I'm looking forward to seeing more of your games. Keep pushing yourselves."

As they left the field, Curtis couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Despite the challenges, he had held his ground against Ismail. Messi, too, felt encouraged by the support of his mentors and the progress he had made.

The match was a testament to the talent and determination of the young players from Windsor and Cambridge. It also highlighted the importance of mentorship and teamwork in nurturing their potential.

For Levi, it was a reaffirmation of his belief in the future of these young athletes. He was confident that with continued guidance and support, they could achieve great things in their football careers.

The rivalry between Windsor and Cambridge would continue, but for now, Windsor could celebrate their victory and look forward to the next Newton Heath Cup with renewed determination and confidence.
