Chapter 10 - Blood Arts 1

"Wow, I have succeeded," Damon said with a smile as he stared at the condensed, floating blood of the two dead monsters, almost the size of a volleyball.

Controlling it with his will, the blood entered his body, giving him the same sensation as when he directly sucked it from the source. He licked his lips, unsatisfied, his hunger for more blood seeming endless, threatening to swallow his reason. But he managed to push it down.

Having calmed himself, Damon placed a finger on his mouth, deep in thought. If Baalor were to know what he was thinking at that moment, he might have vomited blood out of sheer anger.

Damon, having just created a new skill, thought it was lacking. He believed he could do better, so he began pondering.

He stood there like a statue, oblivious to his surroundings for almost fifteen minutes when, suddenly, his golden eyes opened wide like two miniature suns.

"Aha! I've got it, I know what to do," he exclaimed.

"But first, let me find somewhere comfortable to put my idea into practice," he added, and immediately began searching for a suitable location.

Relying on his heightened senses, he started walking deeper into the dark forest. Previously, he had seen a mountain peak peeking from the distance, so he decided to head towards it, hoping that he might spot a waterfall, which would be the perfect spot to cool down while also trying to implement the dozens of ideas flashing through his head.

An hour later, Damon had walked more than five kilometers and could see a river stream. The little sunlight that managed to pierce through the thick foliage of the dark forest illuminated the river, creating a beautiful contrast. Strangely, he didn't encounter any monsters, not that he minded. Following the river stream, Damon arrived at a stretch of water that extended endlessly, and in the distance, he could see a waterfall.

As Damon approached the waterfall, he was struck by its sheer beauty and grandeur. The water cascaded down the rocky cliff face, crashing into the pool below with a thunderous roar. The waterfall was massive, easily over a hundred feet high, and the water flowed in a wide, powerful torrent.

The water was crystal clear, reflecting the sunlight that managed to filter through the dense forest canopy. As the water hit the pool, it churned and frothed, creating a misty spray that danced in the air. The pool itself was a deep, dark blue, with smooth, worn rocks lining the edges, clearly carved out over time by the relentless flow of the water.

Surrounding the waterfall was a lush, verdant landscape. Tall, ancient trees grew right up to the water's edge, their branches hanging over the pool and providing a natural, serene backdrop to the dramatic waterfall. The air was cool and refreshing, with a slight chill from the mist of the falls.

Damon could already feel the stress and tension leaving his body as he took in the tranquil, awe-inspiring sight before him. This seemed like the perfect spot to put his ideas into practice, surrounded by the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the untouched beauty of the natural world.

However, just as Damon was about to sit down and meditate, his senses went on full alert. From the other side of the shore, something arrived at a blistering speed. It was nothing less than a monstrous creature - a giant being with blood-red skin. It resembled an orc, but unlike the orcs depicted in books, this one had skin that was a deep, crimson hue. Its muscles were packed like those of a veteran bodybuilder, and numerous scars ran across its body, testament to the brutal life it lived. Its fierce, blood-red eyes were fixed on Damon.

The moment Damon laid eyes on this monster, he instantly knew it was incredibly powerful, far more so than any of the previous creatures he had faced. Normally, one would feel trepidation in the face of such a formidable foe, but strangely, Damon was smiling. His blood was boiling with the prospect of fighting this powerful monster, and the corners of his mouth split into a wide, almost ear-to-ear grin.

"I must fight this monster. I must crush him, make him wail in pain," Damon's sadistic side had taken over, and he was relishing the challenge.

At the same time, the Blood Orc, a high-ranking Grade 1 monster, was also staring at Damon, having noticed his presence simultaneously. Both man and beast stared at each other in silence, their shared desire to fight a worthy opponent evident in their matching, predatory grins.

Suddenly, the stillness was shattered by the sound of a thunderous boom, followed by a swooshing noise as the two combatants launched themselves towards each other, each eager to prove their dominance in the battle to come.

Bang!

A thunderous sound echoed as their fists clashed.
