Lisa looked at him, her eyes filled with curiosity and a hint of anticipation.
"What is it, Lian?" she asked gently.
Lian reached across the table, taking her hand in his.
Her skin was soft and warm and the touch sent a shiver of electricity through him. "Ever since we met, you've brought so much joy and light into my life. I cherish every moment we've spent together, and I find myself thinking about you all the time. You're the first person I think of when I wake up and the last person I think of before I sleep. Lisa, I love you and I'd like to make you mine. Will you be my fiancée?" Lian concluded his confession as he reached out for the golden ring that was in a small velvet blue box.
Lisa's breath caught in her throat, and for a moment, she simply stared at him, her eyes wide with surprise.
She hadn't seen his proposal coming.
"Oh, Lian," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
