Chapter 33 - expressionless

Lisa was at home, doing more research on her father's alleged construction site accident when her phone rang.

Her eyes lit up once she saw the caller ID. It was Sam.

"Good evening, Sam. How was your first day at work?" She greeted.

"Good evening, Lisa. My first day at work was...okay. I have some important information for you." Sam said quite glad that he was not before her because his cheeks were a little flashed as he remembered his time spent with Miss Quinn. There was no way he was telling his boss of that encounter!

Lisa felt her heart race in anticipation.

"What is it Sam?" Lisa asked.

"Ivy is bribbing a good number of executives to support her claim against Jonathan's father." Sam informed her and Lisa blinked in surprise at the unpredictable turn of events.

Of course Ivy viewed everyone as an opponent even when they were not.

"That's interesting." Lisa replied.
