Eres was surprised. To her, if this guy let her live, he had to be aware of the possibility that she might come after him to kill him.
But no.
It was different.
Even though her master was the Third Seat of Inverted Night, that didn't mean he would care if she died.
The Third Seat was the one who cared the least about his disciples, and besides, he had many of them.
Many had already died, and he simply ignored it, indifferent to their lives as if they were nothing.
Inverted Night didn't have feelings of protecting its disciples or members. If someone killed them, revenge within the organization was absurd since they were destined to die at any moment.
Dying for the organization was a tremendous honor for all its members, and the Seats didn't care at all if their disciples perished.
