Mana seeped into his head as the man fell backward, his face filled with horror.
Judging by his reaction, I might have been too harsh or perhaps I wasn't harsh enough.
Looking at him, I approached and asked, "What is your objective here, destroying the Forest of Magical Beasts with an artificial mana wave?"
While writhing on the ground and wetting his pants, the man looked me in the eyes.
The moment he met my gaze, he responded immediately.
"W-we..."
That's when I interrupted.
"If you don't speak more clearly, you'll die right now."
The man nodded without hesitation, sat up with his head bowed, and began to speak.
"T-the First Seat gave us the mission to find a dungeon in this forest using a map that shows its location."
