Chapter 17 - Chapter 17

Kenshi, his movement swift and deadly lunged towards Hiro, his sword a savage whirlwind of steel as he attacked from every angle.  But Hiro although struggling, still managed to meet each blow with a skill that belied his youth.

Sensing his advantage over his opponent, Kenshi snarled and pounced like a wolf upon its prey, his sword like a silver blur of fury. Hiro, caught off guard by the ferocity of the attack, his sword a desperate shield against Kenshi's relentless onslaught.  Kenshi, his face a mask of bloodlust, pressed the advantage, his sword biting into Hiro's shoulder with a sickening crunch. Hiro, his teeth clenched in pain, stumbled back, his vision blurring as the pain surged through him.

Kenshi, his eyes gleaming with cold, calculated malice, laughed as he circled Hiro like a shark in the water. '' Don't tell me that's all you've got.'' He taunted, his voice dripping with scorn. '' I'm sure your father would be ashamed of a child like you, weak and pathetic. Too bad I have to kill you to save myself.'' Hiro, his vision clearing as he fought back the pain, took a deep breath and renewed his assault. But Kenshi, his movements like a dance of death, parried each strike with ease, his sword a sinister song of steel.

Kenshi, his movements faster and more vicious with each passing moment, pressed on with his attacks, his blade swinging through the air like a bird of prey. Hiro, his breath ragged and his wounds growing more severe with each passing second, fought with a desperation that bordered on madness. But it was not enough. Kenshi, with a cruel grin, sidestepped his opponent's latest attack and drove his sword deep into Hiro's thigh.

Hiro, the pain coursing through him like a river of fire, dropped to one knee, the sand stained with his blood. Kenshi. his sword still dripping with Hiro's blood circled his wounded opponent, his gaze fixed upon Hiro's bowed head. '' This is what you should have done from the beginning boy,'' he hissed, his voice like a venom, '' On your knees, begging for mercy. But I have to give because this game doesn't allow that.''

With those words, Kenshi charged at Hiro, his sword lifted up, the tip gleaming in the sunlight as he aimed for the back of Hiro's neck. But then, in the instant before the blade could strike, Hiro lunged forward, his sword biting into Kenshi's abdomen with a savage ferocity.  Kenshi, his eyes with shock and his hand pressing against the wound in his abdomen staggered backwards.

As Kenshi staggered backwards, he saw Hiro's transformation: a scaly, dragon-like skin had spread across one of Hiro's eyes, and the same scales were beginning to creep across his arm, as if a creature of legend had been awoken within him. '' What are you ?'' Kenshi whispered, his voice tremulous with fear.

But Hiro, his reptilian eyes set in a cold mask of determination, said nothing. '' Silence?'' Kenshi taunted, a cruel smirk on his blood-stained lips. ''No need to hide anymore, then don't you think kalus?'' With a chilling laugh, he dropped his sword, revealing a body hardening into something monstrous. Spikes erupted from his flesh, his frame taking on an otherworldly, nightmarish appearance. The soldiers quaked in fear, yet the general remained impassive, his steely gaze fixed on Hiro. The arena pulsated with an eerie stillness as if time itself had stopped in anticipation of the impending clash of these fearsome and inhuman combatants.

Kenshi, his voice now a guttural, a demonic rumble, growled, '' Here I come. '' The ground trembled under his heavy steps as he charged toward Hiro. Hiro still unfazed, met Kenshi's attack head-on, his dragon-scaled limbs meeting the beast's monstrous fists in a whirlwind of blows. The crowd gasped, enraptured by the fierce spectacle as these two titans clashed with unrelenting ferocity.

Hiro, using his nimble speed, danced around Kenshi's assaults, slashing at the beast with quick, calculated strikes. In a stunning display of strength, Hiro gripped Kenshi by the neck and, with a guttural roar, lifted the beast high into the air. Kenshi, thrashing and snarling in Hiro's grasp, was helpless as the prince threw him on the ground with earth-shattering force.

Kenshi's impact sent shockwaves through the arena, cracking the ground beneath him. The crowd watched in awe as Hiro stood triumphant, his eyes burning with a fire that matched the dragon scales adorning the skin. Hiro still not saying a word, pressed on with his attack. He struck out the dazed Kenshi, raining blow after blow upon the beast's spiked hide. Kenshi, his scales and spikes deflecting little of the damage managed to recover and retaliated with a wild swing of his spiky arms.

Hiro, nimbly evading the beast's flailing strikes, drove his claws into a kenshi's chest. The creature howled, a sound that chilled the blood of the spectators. Kenshi staggered back but in an instant, he charged at Hiro again, Hiro also lunged forward with his jaw agape. Fangs like daggers clashed with Kenshi's hand, rending flesh and bone in a gory, metallic crunch. The beast's howl became a shriek of pain, and Hiro, with a powerful wrench of scaled jaws, tore Kenshi's hand free from his arm.

The amputated limb fell to the ground with a wet thud, and Kenshi staggered back, clutching his maimed limb. '' This isn't over yet! the beast roared, its voice dripping with venomous rage. Kenshi fueled by a primal fury, charged again, Hiro sensing the attack, leapt into the air, his dragon-like form granting him unnatural agility.

As the beast swung its remaining hand in a brutal arc, Hiro landed deftly behind Kenshi, severing one of the creature's hind legs with a swift strike of his sword. Kenshi, snarling and hissing in agony, dropped to the ground, its balance thrown off by the loss of its limb.

Hiro, seizing that moment, leapt onto the beast's back, driving his claw deep into its shoulder. With a final, savage roar, Hiro plunged his claws deeper, cleaving through muscle and sinew until his claws burst forth from Kenshi's chest. The beast, its body convulsing in its death throes, collapsed beneath Hiro's weight, the sand beneath them stained with its blood.

The crowd, silenced by the brutal spectacle, watched in stunned silence as Hiro stood, his dragon-scaled body gleaming with sweat and blood. He gazed down at Kenshi's lifeless form, his eyes alight with cold, determined fire. When suddenly he collapses to the floor.
