A pair of striking brown eyes with what seemed to be fleaks of gold stared back at his own blue eyes covered with sunglasses.
He stared hard at this woman who dared say his name with some much...emotions?
"I am Hazel Hales'' she said once more.
His eyes shifted to her plump pink lips as she spoke which only seemed to have gloss but no lipstick unlike other women. Her face seemed to be too surreal to be true. She had little to no make up on as her shiny hair that was as black as the night was left down giving a high contrast to the white dress she was wearing.
She was... stunning.
The way she carried herself, her posture, accent and facial expressions spoke highly of herself.
She was exuding elegance and dignity even if she approached him first.
She seemed ...familiar but still so unfamiliar.
He finally removed his glasses and revealed his striking blue that almost seemed gray.
"Sir," his assistant spoke up handing him a tablet that was already showing her information.
He collected the tablet from him and peered down at it for a few seconds before handing it back to him.
He turned to her again and her heart almost leapt out of her chest.
"Speak" he said tucking his hands into his suit pants pocket with a passive look.
"Sorry for the interruption but if I may be bold, I have a few words to say." She said slowly as her lip trembled in nervousness but her head was still held high.
When he didn't answer or interrupt her, she decided to go on before she missed the chance.
"I overheard that you need a bride right now but your bride is delayed and I also happen to be in the same situation. So I want to make a proposal." She took a deep breath before she finally opened her mouth to talk as fast as she could.
"Let's get married, Mr. Hooker" she finally dropped the bomb but instead of it to explode, it suddenly turned out silent.
Silence...
Silence...
There was only silence as the two people stared at each other with different thoughts going through their minds.
She was still awaiting his answer anxiously but he just stared at her expressionlessly like she didn't just ask him to marry her.
A minute passed...
Two minutes...
Three...
Four...
Seven minutes until he finally uttered a word to her.
"Sure" he said suddenly smirking before he turned to his assistant. "Prepare my marriage with Ms. Hales'' he said putting his glasses back on.
Now it was her turn to freeze.
He just said sure. Without batting an eyelid.
She finally came to a realization.
He doesn't remember her
