Rose was indeed enraged; she had never imagined her destitute ex-boyfriend would now be dating Lina.
What's more, Lina was an improvement over her, meaning Erwin had found a new girlfriend better than she had been after thier breakup. Rose could not stand it, seeing her former flame thriving and with a woman superior to her.
"Ha, he's just the trash I didn't want, and you're the only one treating him like treasure," Rose retorted angrily, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Really? Erwin is seen in a Ferrari and Rolls Royce . Does that make him trash? Then what about Sam, whole only drivesea BMW? Isn't that below trash?" Lina smiled faintly, displaying no intention of showing the slightest mercy.
Even though she knew Erwin's Ferrari and Rolls Royce were rental results, the other didn't, and she aimed to use this chance to elevate Erwin's standing in the eyes of the rest.
With Lina's words, Sam's expression soured instantly. How could he be lower than Erwin, but it was Lina who'd spoken, so he had to restrain himself; had anyone else said it he would have created an uproar then and there .
"Erwin is poor, how could he be compared to Sam," Rose still argued.
"You're the only one treating a man lesser than trash like a gem," Lina shot Rose's words right back at her, causing her face to blanch.
But Erwin was stunned; Lina was fierce in argument, silencing Rose and masking Sam look like he had no dignity, all the while winking mischievously at Erwin.
Erwin gave her silent thumbs up in approval.
"Erwin, since you've brought the Ferrari, how about we play a little game?!" Sam dared not counter Lina; after all, he still wanted to make a good impression.
As for Erwin, Sam couldn't care less. At this moment, his intention was to deplete all of Erwin's lottery winnings, reducing him to a poor loser again, and then expose Erwin's car rental fraud, so Lina could see Erwin's true loser image.
In doing so , he would get to embarrass Erwin while gaining gratitude from Lina, hitting two birds with one stone. Sam could barely contain his pleasure at the thought of Lina's later assistance.
"A game, you say? Sure, let's do it!" Erwin smiled subtly, having anticipated Sam's trouble-seeking.
Seeing Erwin's nid, Sam smirked slightly, and Rose snortey coldly, awaiting the spectacle to ensure .
"How about a guessing, Sam grabbed some dice, popped them into the shaking cup, and rocked it.
Erwin frowned; he could surely guess number, but technically, he was bound to lose to the bar frequenting rich kid Sam.
Standing next to Erwin, Lina glanced his way, signalling him to refuse, caution of Sam's potential deception to swindle Erwin's cash.
