Chapter 54 - Elemental Lockdown

Feng Xuan's third spirit ring, absorbed from the 7500-year-old Firestorm Wolf, granted him a powerful new ability which is called Elemental Lockdown.

This ability allows Feng Xuan to create a targeted field of elemental energy that locks onto a chosen enemy, restricting their movements and abilities. The field can be imbued with any of the five elements Feng Xuan has mastered (fire, water, earth, wind, or lightning), amplifying the effect based on the element chosen.

Fire Lockdown: Encases the target in intense flames, causing continuous burn damage and reducing their physical strength.

Water Lockdown: Surrounds the target with a vortex of water, slowing their movements and draining their stamina.

Earth Lockdown: Traps the target with binding rocks and soil, immobilizing them and increasing their weight.

Wind Lockdown: Envelops the target in a fierce whirlwind, disorienting them and hindering their ability to focus or cast spells.

Lightning Lockdown: Engulfs the target in a storm of electricity, causing paralysis and intermittent shocks that disrupt their attacks.

The versatility of Elemental Lockdown makes it an exceptionally strategic ability, allowing Feng Xuan to adapt to different opponents and situations effectively. This new skill significantly enhances his combat capabilities.

"Wow, to think this ability is this versatile. Now I don't needed to worry about my opponent dodging my arrow with their speed. My soul power also reached rank 33." Thought Feng Xuan.

"Now is time to think about my future. I think I will first meet Bibi dong as my previous promise to Yue guan and then think which academy to choose. Shrek is big no to join because of their problem seeking personality and also due to Grandmaster. Also he needed to make some distance from Tang San due to his overprotective Father." Thought Feng Xuan.

But thinking about girl in black his heart soften. "She will join Shrek or not now that I have given her exercise to rise her strength, she don't needed Du Mubai's Spirit Fusion ability to get more strength. She also have me, I will protect her when time comes. It all depend on talk with Bibi dong and her thought." Think Feng Xuan.

As Feng Xuan made his way back from the depths of the forest, his mind buzzed with the thrill of his new spirit ability. The encounter with Zhu Zhuqing and the successful absorption of the Firestorm Wolf's spirit ring had left him both exhilarated and weary. As he approached the outskirts of the forest, he spotted a familiar figure waiting by the edge of the trees.

It was Xiao Wu, her expression a mix of anxiety and impatience. She paced back and forth, her eyes scanning the path leading out of the forest. Feng Xuan's heart skipped a beat. He had tried to maintain his distance from her, but seeing her now brought a surge of conflicting emotions.

Feng Xuan called out to her as he approached, making her turn abruptly. "Xiao Wu! What are you doing here?"

Xiao Wu's face lit up with a mixture of relief and surprise. "Feng Xuan! I was waiting for someone, but what about you? You look like you've been through a lot."

Feng Xuan nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I went into the forest to get my third spirit ring. It was quite an adventure."

Her eyes widened but knowing his false "Really? I was told that you gone to meet your grandpa. What kind of spirit beast did you find?"

Thinking about his lies to Xiao Wu he caught off guard and said. "After meeting grandpa I come here to get spirit ring. It is rude to ask someone about his spirit ring."

Xiao Wu's expression turned serious. "Not even me. You always push yourself so hard, Feng Xuan. You need to be careful."

He chuckled lightly, appreciating her concern. "I know, Xiao Wu. But I have to keep getting stronger."

She sighed, clearly torn between understanding his drive and worrying about his safety. "Just promise me you'll take care of yourself."

"I promise," Feng Xuan said, his voice gentle. "What about you? Who were you waiting for?"

Xiao Wu's expression shifted, and she looked away briefly before meeting his gaze again. "I was waiting for someone important, but it seems like they're not coming."

Feng Xuan sensed there was more to the story but decided not to press her. "Well, it looks like you found me instead."

She smiled, the tension in her shoulders easing a bit. "Yeah, it looks like I did."

They stood there for a moment, the forest around them quiet and peaceful. Feng Xuan felt a sense of calm wash over him.

"Let's head back," he said finally. "We both could use some rest."

Xiao Wu nodded in agreement, and together they started walking back toward the academy, their steps in sync as they left the forest behind.

Both of them return to academy and report to principle. After this event Feng Xuan started his daily routine as usual.
