Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

We stared at each other. Our eyes locked into each other's. Who is going to go first??? Should I speak first? Before I could open my mouth Sky spoke. "As you know the festival of lights and colors is this week. So...Why did we call this meeting?"

We all sat there in silence before Leo spoke "We are meeting up on account of the dance."

"THERE'S A DANCE?!?!" Sky exclaimed. She was so loud that I had to cover my ears.

"Wanna continue yelling?" I asked her, "You could get us found out. I think that enough people know about this shed, especially those girls."

"I agree, we don't need more people knowing about this place, especially the Legon," Leo said he spoke in a soft secretive tone while scratching the back of his neck.

"Sorry, sorry." Sky apologized "But there is a dance, I know I transferred more recently to this school but I have never heard of a dance for the festival of lights and colors. It seems a bit strange to me."

"That is strange for others but not for us," I said "The dance is purely age-restricted but we are now eligible. Eligible people have to attend, it's mandatory."

"Well then, who are you going to dance with?" Leo asked, "I'm already going with my amazing girlfriend."

"We know." I said, " It's not too hard to figure it out." Leo blushed a little in embracement and I chuckled.

We all exited the shed and went to check out the revenue. The festival of colors and lights is a vibrant and lively celebration that fills the air with excitement and joy. Everywhere you look, you see an explosion of bright colors, from the decorations adorning the corridors to the traditional clothing worn by the celebrants.

At the heart of the festival are the mesmerizing displays of lights that illuminate the night sky. From intricate lanterns and dazzling fireworks to mesmerizing light installations, the entire school is transformed into a breathtaking spectacle of light and color.

The streets are alive with the sounds of laughter and music as people come together to celebrate. The air is filled with the aromas of delicious food, enticing treats, and aromatic incense, creating a sensory experience unlike any other.

During the festival, people come together to participate in traditional dances, performances, and cultural ceremonies that pay homage to the rich heritage and traditions of the community. It's a time for families and friends to gather, reconnect, and create cherished memories. It's also one of the few times parents are allowed on campus, however they only come for a day if the child wants them to come.

The festival of colors and lights is a truly magical experience that captivates the senses and fills the heart with warmth and wonder. It's a celebration of tradition, community, and the boundless beauty of the dimension around us.

"Look," Sky exclaims with a childish smile "The fireworks are starting." We stand on the balcony above the gardens to watch the fireworks. The fireworks go off, some yellow, green, blue, red, magenta, and white. The fireworks come in all sizes and shapes.

"Hey, I'm going to get us some ice lollies. I'll be right back." I said.

"OK, Take your time." Sky said, "Also could you get me a cornetto?"

"Sure," I responded, then I turned my head to Leo "What about you Leo?"

"I'll take any ice lollies they have."

"Alright." I walked over to the corner shop. "Can I have one cornetto, one magnum, and one mystery ice Lollie?" The worker handed me the ice lollies and I left. "Ice lollies have arrived," I exclaimed to the others.

"Ice lollies!!" They both yelled and quickly ran to me.

"On cornetto for you sky, and a mystery ice Lollie for Leo." They both thanked me and we walked back to the edge of the balcony again.

Hours had passed and the fireworks show was finally over. "Was it really necessary to watch for that long?" Leo asked.

"Yes Leo, it was necessary," Sky responded. "So, I know Leo is taking his girlfriend to the dance, but what about you Kyo?"

"Me?" I responded "Well, I don't know. What about you?"

"I don't know either."

"I am a genius!" Leo exclaimed. "What if you both went together as friends?"

"That's brilliant Leo," Sky remarked. "Would you be up for it Kyo?"

"I'm up for it if you are up for it," I responded.

"Great, you and me will go together."

"That's cool and all of that but we will have to dance first if you are up for it."

"Sure, but why first."

"Me and Leo are in the Legon so the members of the Legon will have to be first when it comes to any dances."

"Now that you two have finished your little talk," Leo chimed in, " I think that we should all find a spot to meet up at before the dance."

"The shed," I responded. Leo knows this was where we met most of the time, how could this time be any different?

"Right..." Leo said, relising just how dumb he sounded.
