The next day marked the first out of five days to relax, or in my case get started to get started on the homework. Why did that stupid professor have to give us homework, it's not fair. I sat staring at my paper, it was blank not even my name was on it. Get it together Leora, you haven't even written your name do that first. I started writing, the part about how life has affected me was the easier part, and the death part was harder. I didn't want to write about my brother.
"Hey KYO!!!" someone shouted from outside. It was Leo What is he doing? I Head downstairs to meet up with him. " Hey Leo, what's up?" I asked, stepping out onto the porch. He was fidgeting with his phone, looking excited.
"Dude, you won't believe this," Leo said, barely containing his enthusiasm. "I just found out about this incredible concert happening tonight downtown. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We've got to go!"
I hesitated, thinking about my unfinished homework. But a night out with Leo might be just what I needed to clear my head. "Alright, let's do it," I said with a smile, feeling a sudden surge of excitement. "I'll just finish this homework later. Let's have some fun tonight."
"Let's go get Sky first," Leo remarked.
We hurried to Sky's dorm and quickly convinced her to join us. As we headed downtown, the anticipation of the concert filled the car. The streets were buzzing with life as we navigated through the halls, with the sun setting behind the tall dorms. Arriving at the venue, we could hear the music from the distance, the excitement building with every step. The concert was electrifying, and for a few hours, we lost ourselves in the music and the energy of the crowd. It was a much-needed break from the stress of daily life, and I was grateful for the spontaneous adventure with my friends. But something felt wrong here.As the concert came to an end, I noticed a somber look on Leo's face. I asked him if everything was alright, and he hesitated before sharing with us that he had received some unexpected news earlier in the day. His uncertainty weighed heavily on the atmosphere, and I could sense Sky and I exchanging concerned glances.
We decided to take a walk outside to clear our heads and give Leo some space to talk if he wanted to. The cool night air was refreshing, and the city lights cast a calming glow over everything. After a while, Leo finally opened up about his news, and we all listened attentively, offering our support and understanding.
As we made our way back to the car, I realized that despite the initial uneasiness, this night brought us closer together as friends. We laughed, shared our thoughts, and found comfort in each other's presence. This spontaneous adventure turned out to be more than just a fun night out; it became a reminder of the strength of our friendship and the importance of being there for each other during both the joyous and challenging times. It was a much-needed break from the stress of daily life, and I was grateful for the spontaneous adventure with my friends. But something felt wrong here.
