[Excerpt from my grandfather's first Journey]
Just found this book today, it's been about three days since my girlfriend and I got stuck in this accursed place. I figured I might as well document what has been happening to us in case someone comes across our remains, gruesome thought, but after seeing those monsters tear apart another person yesterday, that seems to be our most likely outcome.
This all started when my girlfriend and I decided to visit a shop known for it's quality and easily assembled furniture. We didn't notice at first when the people around us disappeared, we were there looking to find some furniture to use in the apartment we have moved into.
The first thing that tipped us off was when we saw a path not marked on the map we had been following, at first we thought we had just picked up an old one somehow and the store had undergo some renovations. It wasn't until we had seemingly walked for miles without seeing the section we were looking for that we finally realized that something eerie was going on, and we noticed that there was nobody near us, from the number of cars in the parking lot, the store should have been packed.
What cemented our realization was when we turned a corner and came across the wearhouse section of the store and saw it go as far as our eyes could see. It definitely exceeded the outer dimensions of the building. Were we being pranked? Were we dreaming or gone mad?
Trying to backtrack to the entrance yeulded no results as the way we had came from started to branch off into several directions.
At that point we started to wander around aimlessly, seeing no /| point in following the directions that lead / | nowhere. Thankfully there was a display/ |drinks at an endcap we passed by, seeing / \ there was no employees or any\ / to judge us, we downed a bottle of \/ the fizzy liquid quenching the thirst we had built up in the hours we had spent walking.
It was as we were passing an aisle for lighting decor that the lights illuminating the store suddenly shut off. Startled we started fumbling around for our phones. While they had been useless so far due to their lack of a data signal, they still functioned as torches in the darkness we found ourselves in.
I didn't know why at the time, but the darkness around us gave me the creeps. I was never afraid of the dark, but in this place I fully understood the meaning of the phrase "nobody is afraid of being alone in the dark, they're afraid that they aren't."
End of Day 1.

Hello everyone,
Hope you enjoyed the first chapter, it's a rather short introduction but I hope it brings excitement to all you horror and liminal space lovers out there. If you are unfamiliar or just didn't realize this first liminal space that the MC is stuck in is based off of a popular anomaly from the SCP universe, SCP 3008, the Infinite IKEA written by Mortos. However, I didn't want to risk getting copyrighted or anything so I have made it a point to avoid using any brand names or identifications. Yeah I know that the SCP foundation is under a Creative Commons License, but I'm not sure how to properly cite it, or how to make sure people don't have to pay to read this. If you're an author who knows the ins and outs of webnovel's payment system, please let me know.
If anyone wants to make a request for a particular liminal space, please share it. However I will not accept requests for more from the SCP universe.
Love you all and hope that you've had a good time.
