Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

I look to Vee she is the one we were looking for; she has already taken at least thirteen laps around the sun. The only thing is, her heart is still locked; planets have comforted this child when she was sad, but something is keeping the Violate Light Crystal from awakening fully. 1

Courage is something everyone must face, but Ume must be coming close to her awaking with something dangerous even for an average child. "My family has been treated by the yakuza." The girls' faces harden, I'm thankful they wind up telling us everything later. " My grandmother was once a part of the Yuzuki family. They are a powerful family that does bad things to people and sell dangerous things to get their money."

Ume seemed to shake, "They are demanding my grandmother be brought back along with my father. If anything, they might kidnap me as well. They could kill my grandfather or my mother." The air in the room is thick, they turn to her, "So, is this why you asked for a sleepover?" Theodora doesn't miss a beat, Ume looked to the floor with shame. "Yes, you were nice to me, and I took advantage of your kindness." Starr sighs, "You say that, but we had our motives to invite you out too. To be honest, we felt called to you, we wanted to understand you." The girls have a second to cry and kind of makeup with each other.

Ume's phone beeped with a strange text, "Oh no, my mother texted me telling me that they are acting out of control! Look at the picture she sent me." I even got a peak at the picture, and there was a shadow murk hidden inside of the body. Ume takes charge, "Ume, wait!" Starr doesn't wait to follow as Theodora calls a car. "They'll want somewhere to transform in safely," Theodora said grabbing Starr and Ume's phones.

I can't take it any longer, my parents are in trouble and I know that me being there won't help but I have to face the fear that pushed my grandparents away from their home, Theodora's family limo is nice I don't understand why she called it here though it seems odd. 

Pulling up to my family home the doors are open and them has the be a small group of them. I go to open the door, "Wait, it's not safe." Starr pulls me in and Theodora locks us in, "Going in blindly won't help you it'll just get you killed." Theodora might be the only one with the right head on her shoulders. "Starr this is our only chance but something says this fight isn't for us." They both nod and turn to me. 

Starr smiles, "Ume, we are so glad to make you our friend, and we hope you accept that as well." They don't care who I am or about my problem. They drove me home and are putting themselves in danger for a stranger. I feel the fear rise but I also feel courage settle on the fear and the roaring ocean was calm. It must be the adrenalin settling in.

I jump from the car and headed inside, the men stood around my grandmother who was tied up and my dad wasn't in a place I could see him, he could already be gone. Grandfather was lifelessly laying on the floor and my mother must be hiding. "Father! Mother!" one of the men chuckles, "Dakara,-betsu no mono ga arimasu." Before I know it one of them grab me and have me restrained. "Help!" I cried out this was it I didn't wait for help or think through the whole situation. 

Then the nightly fog began to settle in. "I see we arrived just in time." Everyone stopped as two knights stood before us, they held swords and the golden one pointed to me, "Ume it's time to awaken the power in your heart." She turned to the neighboring knight, "Shimmering help her out." Wait Shimmering Moon she's one of the two heroes that have been saving the us from shadows. Then that must be Radiant Sun.

The man holding on to me let go as the other men watched in either amazement or shock. "Quick Ume, call out Purple Crystal, Glitter, and Shine!" I don't know who that was nor do I disagree. "Purple Crystal, Glitter and Shine!" my body heated up as a crystal floated up to me, the pulsating crystal rammed itself into me, and I assume with no mirror around me, transformed.

A fuzzball fell out of the crystal, "Quick Ume, find somewhere safe for us to speak." It was so cute but I didn't have time for that. I ran us into the bathroom as the fuzzball smiled, "Hello, I am Kat, I am the guardian of the Purple Crystal holder." Not meaning to be rude but was looking in the mirror instead of listening.

I see many things differently; my eyes were a little wider, and purple. My hair was the same purplish color and was pulled up into a bun. The suit matched that of Radiant and Shimmering the sword at my side had a hilt of a Katana. My earrings were large planets like Saturn with rings around them, "Well Ume, are you ready?" I look at the fuzzball, "I hope so," Kat jumps off as I go to join them. When I entered the living room, they were holding me back but needed help. Shimmering Moon turns to me, "Call out Glitter and Shine turn this sword Divine it activates the sword." Radiant jumps back to me, "Be quick we can't stop them for much longer."

Nodding, "Right." I grab the hilt of the sword and call out, "Glitter and Shine, turn this sword; Divine." The katana was beautiful, it reminded me of my grandfather. This was when the shadow murk walked in wearing the skin of a man, "Who are you?" it rasped out, Radiant Sun smiled, "We are your enemy now, I am; Radiant Sun, protector of the sunlight defender of Earth." Shimmering Moon turns to me and nods, "Shimmering Moon, protector of the moonlight and defender of Earth." They look at me, my biggest dream is coming true, "I am Cosmic Ring."

The shadow murk screams, "Quick we have to get it under control." Shimmering said as Radiant lunged. A shadow runs to me, the katana glows, and out of instinct, "Cosmic Blade!" I strike the shadow. It turns into ash, as the rest of the shadows stare. Radiant smiled, "Good job keep it up."

Nodding I continue to strike the shadows only for them to grow into many. "This isn't working." Radiant said, "I can't do anything until all the fighting is done." Shimmering said as my katana heats up, I call out, "Galaxy Strike!" the katana blade grew as it pulsated, on my downward movement the blade grew outwards and all the shadows faded, "Now, Radiant we got them." I said over to her, the main leader of the shadow figures stand over us.

She nods and turns to it, "Right, now feel the sun! Warmth of the Sun!" as the blade strikes the shadow. It begins to crack and glow as gold pours through the cracks.

Radiant smiled as the people lay lifeless on the floor, "Shimmering help clean it up." She nods as the blade began to shine, "Moonlight Dance!" Everything broken was fixed and my parents were both brought back into the room. "Radiant walked over to the Yakuza men, "I understand you might not understand me, but remember this. Step foot in Dogwood Corner again and you'll face off with me."

The men seemed to understand or maybe not, either way, they left. In a hurry at that too. "Ugh, my head." I look down and see Mother waking up, "We should leave." They pull me out and into Theodora's car, it didn't take me long to realize who they were. I lean forward, "Thank you girls!" as we detransform in front of each other, "Thank you." I whisper out again.

Rewatching the fight, again and again, "You should stop sending Shadows to fight your battles, what kind of knight uses magic to win their battles." Another underling of the Shadow Kingdom said before walking away. Collecting the power, we need to give to Prince Zyrain, and help him regain his consciousness would land me a higher position in court.

Yet, somehow; Light Crystals have traveled this far in the galaxy. They were only activated when pure hearts used them. Pure hearts are nothing more than stupid winches. I remember a time when we tried to harness one of these powerful crystals, yet their pure heart couldn't be shifted.

I walk away from the screen and sit down, I need something other than the shadows to gather the energy the prince needs, they should be collecting the vessel of a pure-bodied person to help him reside better. Scanning the earth, I see children pop up, when an orphan boy pops up, he had dark hair and dark eyes he would do nicely. Sun City has many pure-hearted people but this little boy lives in and around the darkness every day he'll be easy to change.

Snapping my fingers, "Shadow head to London and bring me the boy." Laughing evilly as they fade and return with him, "So perfect, I'll call the rest of the court." Those who mock me will no longer. Those of the Shadow Court came to my room, "My highest nobles of the court I thank you for coming and allow me to introduce you a vessel for the prince."

Though they were quiet I knew they were mocking me. "Why a child?" one lingered in the background asked, smiling, "If the Prince is a child, then there are more chances for him to make mistakes in this human world and catch the attention of the leaders as he ages." They were quiet, "Fine, you may go about your business but if the prince is harmed in any way, we will send you to your early grave."
